I know I may be getting a little carried away and that we're 'only playing against League One opposition', but I honestly can't think how we would improve our 1st team if we were to get promoted. Ikeme been very solid, Ricketts has been a good leader and played very well too. Then Batth and Stearman seem a solid centre back partnership. Golbourne looks more than capable at left back. Then, into the midfield, McDonald and Price look like fantastic distributors of the ball and can do their bit defensively too. Combination of Sako/Henry/Jacobs on the wings looks lethal. I would agree that we need to strengthen up front, but I like what I've seen from Dicko and Clarke should compliment him well. Hopefully, we'll be able to add strength in depth come July and also we'll have people returning from loans. Bright future ahead for this club!

I guess we will only know when it happens. Our team from 2009 looked good until it didn't. I guess we will lose a couple of players anyway, perhaps to Premier teams. But I think KJ isn't afraid to disappoint players, and seems to have a different take on loyalty to Mick. He will bring in players if needs be.

Next season we shouldn't get carried away (assuming we're promoted this season). Mid-table wouldn't be an underachievement.

Out of the signings sam rickets has impressed me the least and I would rather have doherty there, ricklets has become a liability with quite a few mistakes unpunished

I think all 3 posters above make perfect sense. I do believe we are making progress but the top two is not a certainty - March will sort out who is likely to go up, hopefully our strength in depth will help.

Some people commented after Saturday that we lacked the killer instinct and should have pushed more. I for one are happy with 3 point and no injuries.

Interesting point about those out on loan returning to strengthen the squad, three questions arise from this comment.
1) Who do you mean
2) Do you want them back
3) Would it be better to let them go and build on what we have.
Irrespective of where we finish this year the team this year is just that, a team that plays well together and adding like minded players to that structure I would suggest is better than rearranging a technique to accommodate others signings

The only players have a chance to get in our team is ismail and doyle maybe cassidy but i'm not cassidys biggest fan

I think Doumbia may get a chance pre-season and possibly Boukari as well. But they will have to be at their best impress. Can they do it? I think Doumbia can, he had a few good games for us last season. However I'm not sure about Boukari. He seemed quite good in his 4 games for us, but obviously has injury problems and has played very little football since coming here. I would like to see them get into the first team and make an impact because of the money we paid for them but I am sceptical.

To be honest I completly forgot about doumbia - I was his biggest fan first half the season

Doumbia was one of our best players last season. Not that that says a lot, but he was. Certainly good enough for the Championship. If any of our midfielders leave or become injured in the close season he would be a good replacement.

I'm struggling to remember what Boukari was like!

Boukari is crap barley plays for sochaux and a very injury prone player and I doubt he'll do better than Henry, Jacobs, or Sako or even Ismail

Doumbia never did it for me, all he did was get the ball and go right, and in the championship players such as chaloba and the like will suss that.

Dont think chalobah will be playing in the championship next season tbf

So Orient have 2 lightweight home games in the next 7 days. We have an away game at Brentford. No pressure, then!

Can't see Swindon rolling over that easily!

Yes, come on Swindon and Stevenage! And come on Wolves, this is on paper anyway will be your toughest match of the season.
