Personally, I am very pleased with the signing of Kevin McDonald, a quality player without doubt.
Question is . does KJ stick with Lee Evans or does he draft, KM into the team for Saturday?
Thoughts and opinions folks? Cheers CW.
Don't change a winning team except for injury. McDonald on the bench.
Evans in, Davis dropped
Give last weeks winning team a chance If midfield not working bring in Kevin M for debut. George will be on bench. We should have a chance of a good result
I'd keep the same team, telling Evans to play really hard until he is knackered . then put McDonald on. Conversely, we might decide to play without the soon-to-depart Doyle, replacing him with KM in a 4-2-3-1 formation. As Doyle was the glue that gave cohesion to the side in the Gillingham game - receiving the ball from the back, moving it forward and bringing his colleagues into play- I would like to squeeze as much game time out of him as possible before departs. So, with our midfield sorted, when do we address the problem of cover at the back? George is still too near to selection for my liking.
Well it's a nice problem to have when we have more good players than positions.
Whether Kevin plays from the start or not, the team looks good.
Maybe one day we'll field a team of Kevins.
Chaser - on the downside, if he's that good why div 3 effectively? And, possibly 2 sides to his game. Personally would have preferred Luke Murphy as a goal scoring mid, alas not to be. Upside - Kenny likes him, so too Owen Coyle, Alex Rae positive also.
Best guess, there is a lot of coaching and development to be done over the next two years at least so certainly give him time. But I'm pretty sure about one thing, Kenny bought him for a specific purpose - so definitely one to watch.
wolfshead.
You can't play griffiths on his own as we found out and then on Saturday he played amazingly with Doyle, can't be a coincidence?

Coyle said he's one of the best midfielders in the country on his day he's sounding like our mick haha
