Not sure if this is wishful thinking, or just crazy old intuition, but I think the next thing that comes out of the mol' concerning management, will probably shock and galvanise the club and fans for the coming seasons!

14 May 2017 20:18:35
The Club is a joke. bottom half next season. I stopped kidding myself a couple of years ago. you lot should give it a try it stops the pain of supporting such an embarrassing club. and for the record terry who has won numerous trophy far better than Steadman begging to be signed and Bart that's only in the team because he's from the academy.

14 May 2017 20:47:18
Wednesfield, by all means criticise the club but at least spell our players' names properly! Steadman? Bart?

14 May 2017 21:22:01
Get back up your ladder wednesfield, spouting drivel again.

14 May 2017 21:35:51
Bart Simpson going to be appointed tomorrow morning. Homer will be the first team coach! πŸ‘βš½οΈπŸ˜‰.

15 May 2017 00:00:49
Wednesfield, you do a hell of a lot of posting on here for one so disenfranchised with the club. Perhaps you're actually finding it hard to kid yourself?

15 May 2017 08:29:52
Forget Marge! She in charge of transfers. So watch this space. πŸ˜‰ Seriously though we might have to wait until next Monday and the finish of the PL before all the shuffled cards will be dealt. βš½οΈπŸ‘πŸ˜‰.

14 May 2017 18:12:57
Hey everyone hope your all doing well, it seems as if mendes is going to get the final say our transfers I would like to see a few proven championship players as well to balance it out and to complement them and talking about proven championship players there is a championship proven goal scorer who's connected to gestifute/ mendes and that's Andre grey he only as year left on his contract he's from Wolverhampton, I remember him doing interview saying all his family are Wolves fans didn't mention who he supported but could this be a possible transfer?

14 May 2017 19:32:44
Good callπŸ‘πŸ‘.

14 May 2017 17:34:03
Jackson Martinez is player mendes can get to wolves.

14 May 2017 17:40:20
Paul Daniels the comedian? Abul is no longer with us! πŸ˜‰πŸ‘.

14 May 2017 17:52:19
Hull started the season with 15 fit pros. When Silva went in, he picked up a bag of worms! That was in Jan and got them playing some decent football, most if not all their results came from home wins admittedly, but at least they played some half decent football, given he had very little resources to spend or play with when he arrived there! Makes you wonder what he could do given the right level of support?! BTW, Mendes is his agent, no surprise there I guess. Should be a good fit I would have thought. βš½οΈπŸ‘πŸ˜‰.

14 May 2017 18:15:33
China club paid more for Martinez than Fosun paid to buy Wolves.

14 May 2017 17:31:14
Well Marco Silva won't be coming. I've just heard him say he's having a meeting with the owners to tell them where they've gone wrong!
Can you see that happening at the wolves!
He'll b in meetings every week because our lot ent got to clue what they're doing.

14 May 2017 16:00:05
I do feel sorry for Paul Lambert, but I think we have to remember the job at Wolves is for a 1st team coach not a manager. Many people seem to get this mixed up. I think the new coach will be Marco Silva or Aitor Karanka and they will be required to coach the players that Fosun wish to loan or purchase. I believe it's possible that these two have already been offered the job and I can say without going into detail that Jeff Shi is a good man with the intention and wish to eventually get Wolves promoted to the Premier League.

14 May 2017 16:10:05
Well according to an article I have read about Hull's relegation on the BBC Sport site, there is a link to an article from the Independent linking Silva with replacing Puel at Southampton.

14 May 2017 17:03:49
So a head coach is brought in to make the team play well but he is given dross by someone higher up the food chain. So he fails to achieve what the club want and is sacked. The guy who brought in the dross stays. Makes sense does it?

14 May 2017 17:12:17
Nothing in the world of Wolves has ever made sense OGW.

14 May 2017 14:48:23
Hi,

New to this site.

Who should take over as new Manager/ Head Coach? Personally I think we need someone with experience of the 2nd tier of English football so someone like Alex Neil. He plays good football and knows how to get teams promoted.

14 May 2017 15:30:46
Hi Alex.

14 May 2017 13:39:57
It will be interesting to see what happens to Sheffield Wednesday in the playoffs as their manager, Carlos Carvahil, ticks all the boxes, Portugese with Championship experience.

I know his name came up some months ago and if Wednesday don't go up he may fancy a new challenge. Surely much better than the name that is being mentioned at the moment, the guy with more clubs than Zenga.

14 May 2017 12:17:42
Hull almost down. Go get Silva now.

14 May 2017 12:38:18
Absolutely correct. Do it at half time!

14 May 2017 12:44:53
Just what we need. A manager who's just relegated a team and no experience of 2nd tier football.

14 May 2017 12:47:22
Silva plays zonal marking, wolves would have to play with 8 defenders for the crap we have at the back, good look with that.

14 May 2017 13:12:18
Its a bit harsh to accuse him of getting em relegated!

14 May 2017 13:18:37
Hull haven't exactly batonned down the hatches and put up a fight considering they know their fate.

14 May 2017 13:21:10
Agreed Brimble Wolf. Even he moves about. At least he's quality though. βš½οΈπŸ‘πŸ˜‰.

14 May 2017 13:25:43
He's had enough games to keep them up though hasn't he?

14 May 2017 13:30:27
Maybe, but he hasn't been able to bring anyone in, had to work with what he inherited. Which wasn't much! I think he would spend our money well.

14 May 2017 13:31:28
Marco Silva gas 27 out of a possible 63 points = 40% points ratio. Is this really better than Lambert who has 47 from a possible 99 points at a 47% ratio.

14 May 2017 13:33:48
Over a 46 game season Lambert would get 65 points, Marco Silva 59 points. Just saying.

{Ed001's Note - seriously? That is a ridiculous comparison. Lambert was the worst manager in the Prem while Villa manager, Silva has been excellent with a shambles of a club that is in the middle of a battle between owners and fans.}

14 May 2017 13:34:50
Jas how can u knock a quality manager like Silva when u suck up to loser Lambert? As was said earlier with the points he's achieved with hull they'd be 10th. He hasn't failed it was Phelan before him who got hull relegated.

14 May 2017 13:38:16
Sounds familiar sillyrocket - having to work with what he's inherited. Plus he wouldn't be spending our money, Mendes would be given that he's in charge of our recruitment.

14 May 2017 13:40:30
Jas your stats r of no importance, your comparing premier league to a mediocre championship! Until they lost the other week he hadn't lost a home game for over 40 matches! I don't think your buddy Lambert can say that? πŸ˜‚.

14 May 2017 13:40:33
Sillyrocket, seems that he worked under the same circumstances as Lambert.

14 May 2017 13:49:31
Jas forget it lousy comparison.
Anyway Hull are down losing 3-0 So let's put first theory to the test (Silva) and get ready to move on when he says no.

14 May 2017 13:55:44
Ed, you say Lambert was the worst manager Villa had in the Premier League but i'd like to point out that in 3 seasons under his guidance they stayed up. They went down the season after he left Therefore Sherwood and Garde are the worst managers. Also Silva has just led Hull down in his 1st season. So if you want to look at basic facts, Lamberts record is better. I'm not going to comment again on this matter. I will just speak to my actual contacts within the club who will keep me updated rather than listen to Paul Tamworths hatred of everything.

{Ed001's Note - you are talking nonsense about your contacts and how Lambert has a better record than Silva. Pick your toys up lad, grow up and man up. Just accept you are making a fool of yourself, Lambert is a crap manager who dragged Villa down from finishing top half until he left them as relegation certainties.}

14 May 2017 14:07:42
Likewise PT. If PL has been here all season we'd finish 8th. What's your point?

14 May 2017 14:17:05
Really hope this goes the way Paul Tamworth and Ed want it to go. Also Ed don't presume anything about me. I do have contacts at Wolves and have done for years. Likewise I've got contacts at Villa as well having worked there for 11 years.

{Ed001's Note - what I want? No idea what that means. I don't care who is appointed or if Lambert stays, just pointing out your post was ridiculous. Oh and by the way, I told you all that this was going to be a mess with Mendes involved. He is there for one reason and one reason only - to get round the third party ownership rules that it looks like another superagent might yet fall afoul of.}

14 May 2017 14:28:32
Randy Lerner gave Villa millions and they finished top 6. He then got divorced, sold 2 of his companies as his wife took 50% and he stopped pumping money into Villa. Lambert was employed to keep them up and find the odd gem like Benteke which he did. It was Sherwood and Garde that relegated them.

{Ed001's Note - I know what happened, but Lambert was the one who put them in such a mess and he was not in charge of recruitment or scouting there either.}

14 May 2017 14:30:42
I think Ed has said all that needs to be said about Lambert πŸ‘πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

14 May 2017 14:34:25
Your contacts at the club Jas r that good u don't even know if Lamberts been sacked, resigned or still there? Your in the dark as much as us so less of the bo--ocks!

14 May 2017 15:19:10
PT, you really can't see past the end of your nose can you. If you re-read my posts from yesterday you'll see that I said all staff apart from the top brass are being kept in the dark. In future please read the posts before replying. Thanks.

14 May 2017 15:27:32
Lambert is negotiating his compensation package for the remainder of his contract. He's not quite gone yet but will be in next few days.

14 May 2017 15:33:24
Pl had 13 games in charge before the close of the January window, he won 5, drew 3 and lost 8. 18 pts or 64pts over the season.

After the transfer window additions of Weimann and Marshall he had 17 games, won 7, drew 2 and lost 8. 23pts or 62pts over the season.

Can a manager who get less points per game after bringing in his players really be entrusted for another season. Get rid, the sooner the better, I'd rather live in hope than desperation. UTW.

14 May 2017 16:06:15
Before I go, just thought I'd point out that Marco Silva is now the favourite to take over at Inter Milan.

14 May 2017 16:24:27
Also linked with Southampton.

14 May 2017 17:14:04
Ed have I got it wrong as to me you seem to contradict yourself. You say Lambert was the one who put them in a mess and then partially absolve him of that by stating that he was not in charge of recruitment or scouting. So why is it that that those in charge of that were responsible for the mess.

{.

{Ed001's Note - how is that absolving him of blame? He was the coach and he did a very poor job of coaching the team.}

14 May 2017 17:55:01
Jas, you have defended pl to the hilt. You have worked at Villa and have contacts at Wolves. You seem to know what is happening regarding Lamberts contract, pay off etc but say most at Wolves don't know what's happening. Guys I think I've cracked it, Jas is the man himself! Jas also known as Paul Lambert! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

14 May 2017 18:16:27
Silva is not coming to Wolves. We're getting a journeyman from Mendes stable who will be sacked after 6 months.

14 May 2017 20:35:17
Jas. You are almost certainly right. Silva prob won't be coming to Wolves unfortunately because everyone knows he's a class act. He will get a top job somewhere, but we can live in hope! But please stop these delusions of grandeur. Like everyone else on here we don't really know anything about what's going on and nor do you. Its just hopeful speculation and banter. Chill out!

14 May 2017 12:09:10
Seems to me that the problem with Fosun is that they have never had their own man since buying WW. Lopetegui was to be that man and when he decided to take the Spain job Fosun were on the back foot. Zenga came and was always unlikely to succeed given the number of jobs of short tenure he had. He goes and Lambert arrives, I never thought he was the real deal or choice. Fosun had to avoid relegation and that has been achieved, but with Mendes in the background a British Head Coach is unlikely to cut it with players from abroad. Fosun this time need to get a clear strategy and their own man to execute it. Clarity of thought and purpose is needed and the sooner the better.

14 May 2017 11:44:20
Does anyone think it's strange that there is know contact between the press + Lambert, surely he must come out with some answers via the E + S. to what's going on or is he on his hols.

14 May 2017 10:52:18
Has he gone yet, (yawn, yawn) anyway hear there's a newsflash on the wireless in a minute, guess what boys and girls world war 2 might be over, got to go hear Winston Churchills about to speak, God Bless you all.

14 May 2017 10:33:25
With all this talk on the Net, I need the press etc. Only one thing is definite at the moment-the club is looking an embarrassment and a shambles.

Sort it out Fosun, one way or the other. Sort it out, do it asap, and do it properly this time. We all want the same thing, a successful club to be proud of.
Us fans want it, only you rich guys in suits can do the deals/ appointments to deliver.

FFS, stop messing around get this public mess cleared up.

14 May 2017 10:55:14
**damn phone.
The 'I need' shouldn't be there ^^^.

14 May 2017 10:58:07
Putting players on contracts means it's adding value to their price when sold, hence average and other player at least have a value when sold. This is for those that don't understand why players like Danny bath have been given longer contracts I suspect. He's not a bad player and not a great player. βš½οΈπŸ‘πŸ˜‰.

14 May 2017 11:51:14
Spot on Wolvescoast. The only problem being, who'd want to Buy some of our lot? . We couldn't give some of our squad away on a free, going on this seasons performances.

14 May 2017 13:24:42
Agreed Lowwolf that's why they are being a little selective with who and time. βš½οΈπŸ‘πŸ˜‰.

14 May 2017 14:49:08
We need to get it right this time Wolvescoast. We are becoming a laughing stock mate. Which is why I said, Fosun need to sort this mess, and do it properly. Be it Silva, who I know you're a big fan of, or whoever.
They keep praising the fans, so now show us you mean business when you say you want this club to be successful.

14 May 2017 09:33:16
I think they are waiting to see the Hull result this afternoon. If they do not win then they will be relegated as they have an inferior goal difference to Swansea. Then, their manager might become available.

14 May 2017 10:03:13
It's a big ask anyway.
Why not take on Karanka get to the Prem and replace him for the real thing. They are good at replacing.

14 May 2017 11:16:51
Wundt want karanka! If we think lambert was boring karankas worst, boro fans will tell you he was really defensive hard to beat but rubbish footbal.

14 May 2017 07:26:20
I suspect that many of the 75% don't think Lambert has done a great job but fear further chaos and upheaval. A new manager will have to start the reassessment process all over so how does the clear out get underway and then integrate what's left with the new additions. Don't rate Thelwell but if we throw all our toys out the Pram who is going to handle the business.
If Fosun don't want Lambert then sack him last day of the season and get the new team in place. But all I see is more knee jerk reactions with no plan in place. No wonder the players are demotivated. Maybe it's Jeff who needs to go, his performance has created the rollercoaster.

14 May 2017 08:01:13
About right that Gordon. Better the devil you know and all that.

14 May 2017 06:40:23
Woke up this morning to see that this debacle is rumbling on for yet another day.
Surely the club should have made some sort of statement by now "back him or sack him"?
This all seems a bit squalid and is not healthy for the club or anyone concerned.
Fosun haven't made millions by being nice, but at the very least they should be professional.
Jeff Shi has made mistakes and perhaps he fears for his own position or maybe he is running the club this way because he is desperate to be transferred back to China.
This is Wolves - we are better than this.
End the silence now - let us know what is going on!
