Agree 100% with what Martin Swain wrote in the E&S. Super Mick McCarthy should be remembered for what he did for our club. From where we were to where he brought us. IMO the board have been a little hasty in their decision. Only time will tell.
We must all look forward now and give the new Merlin our support as we gave Mick at the start of his campaign.
Leeds look favourite to take Mick, good luck Mick McCarthy and many many thanks for the job you done.

The Doog

Need to start a campaign (as suggested) for him to be put into the hall of fame. We owe him that much. I'll miss his post-match comments and banter. We've lost a good un but respect the need to move on. Sad times tho.

Im going to put the money thing to rest. Since we have been in the premier league mick mccarthy spent nearly 40million on transfer funds. With that he has brought some good but also some bad (spent 2.5million on greg halford fs) 40million should be enough to build a stable premier league team.

This season was the first time ive seen the players not play for mccarthy. There was obvious problems behind the scenes. One of the reasons I believe was giving Johnson the armband. This put too much pressure on him so his performances suffers.I also believe that he and mccarthy argued (has been reported). I also believe that most of the players were upset over henry not being captain.

When the players came back onto the pitch for the second half vs albion they looked fed up and just not bothered. mccarthy must of said something at half time.

Don't feel sorry for mccarthy he will just walk back into a job in the championship.

I dont care who comes in as long as they breathe new life into this team.

Fully agree pride back in wwfc like i have and many many more sandwell may be smileing now but you know the old saying show use how much you care about this great club mr morgan now

Gareth Southgate anyone? Did well with 'borough until his time ran out there. {Ed001's Note - what about Shearer? I know he has registered an interest.}

Yes shearer and king keegan

Yes keegan and shearer keegan supported wolves has a lad

All 3 can jog on

Id only have AS as our assistant because we need experience and curbs has that(west ham)

Yeah why don't we get two awful managers worse than MM to replace him... no thanks. I still think Curbishley is the one and only candidate for the job.

Here we go again, I have followed the Wolves for 50+ years through ups and downs but apart from the sacking of Stan Cullis I have never felt so much anger towards the chairman and board as I do after MM sacking.Look at your CE, and the backroom coaching , They should have gone ages ago ,Moxey is trying to emulate Stoke City who have progressed so well since he left and joined us. We are potentially and historically the better club and should be the top midlands club. We need to pay for Premiership quality players, amd not championship wages, else that is where we will end up. Good look Mick and thanks. We will survive but we need to speculate on good staff. Whats the point of the acadamy investments when we dont hold on to what is produced, why bring on players for the rest of the premiership and replace them with lesser qualitu, ie Lescott/Johnson, Keane/Miljas Davies/Jonsson etc. Mr Morgan and co you are letting us and taking us down.

Disagree with the Keane and lescott part... Both did a great service for our club for several years and rightly so went on to bigger and better things. Can hardly blame the board for cashing in considering we were in the 2nd tier when both were sold.
