According to Tyne and Wear press Stephen Ward is due to sign for Sunderland. This will leave us extremely short at left back.

Come on ed, you know me by now, i know wards an Ireland international, and i also know he's not worth 3 million to sunderland, i also know that Steven Warnock is available from villa who IS worth 3 million so i think its a mistake and been reported wrong.

the rumors were it was an international leftback, then there local paper printed wards name insted....

just saw someone slating moxey again im accually sick of it he does get us good deals

im not keen on moxey but how can you slate him for mark davies that arrogant t**t had a 6months to run when we sold him 2million was a good price he turned down a new contract like kites after we stuck by him through injury always out on the pop the night beofre a game with leon clarke n i saw some1 say hes worth 8 million got to laugh at that more like 3 at a push 4 how much is david davis worth then 10mill hes twice the player

scott malone wanted 1st team football witch wolves couldnt offer him he was 18 the potential was there but you cant sell a player who has never kicked a ball for the 1st team n thats the same as bennet

everyone says look at stoke after moxey left there also in debt now or will be soon

Moxey must be the only CE who appears almost every night in the local paper talking football ( his playing/ coaching experience being nil). Full of his own importance.

We need a right back as well as a left back centre back and creative winger so e you got any ideas for these positions

Try henry right back where he used to play for us and stoke years ago, plus he wood make good defender as he like a tackle,and as far as winger love see phillips from blackpool

Zubes n foley are good enough..i dare say ward could do a job till something worth while comes along

right lets get rid of all the players who wants to leave us, dont make henry captain, replace henry ward stears aswell,

I thought Henry should never have been given captain's armband in the first place and couldnt understand why MM or some other fans couldnt see it but MM realised it too late. i pray that SS doesnt make the same mistake but i think he is far more clever than MM and will realise quickly about stearman, ward and a few others , i'll be surprised if there in the team by november.

play well ? {Ed011's Note - We kept the ball well but weren't creative enough with it and when we were any attempt on goal seemed half-hearted. Blake had plenty of chances, one especially I expected him to bury but he passed it to Davies who narrowly missed, still if was an encouraging game for him. As fans we're going to have to get used to having the ball but being patient with it. I was shocked Solbakken made no subs in the 90 minutes and we were playing one winger in Forde who is too young to be the only winger, he played well but doesn't have the experience to be the only winger and it tells, in a few years he could be sensational but we need more creativity than just him. We played three more defensive midfielders but Doumbia has looked good, I hope Solbakken realises that Davis is not a right mid soon because putting him out there just shuts him out of the game completely, I'd rather see Peszko on one side and Forde or O'Hara on the other if he's adamant about playing 3 centre mids. The strikers just didn't have much too do and didn't make much themselves; Sigurdarson is going to have to be phenomenal otherwise there is a lot of work to do. We at least need a CB, and creative midfielders my choice being Geromel, Henrikson and Thomas Ince, we could realistically get them for £12m too; £6m for Ince, £3m for Geromel and £3m for Henrikson.

Basically to paraphrase ED we were not very good

What about o'hara (creative) davis(ball winning) n doumbia (box to box) as a 3 doyle n sigurdason (both seem to like a run) in behind SEB

Just seen that Jimmy Bullard has been released by Ipswich. On a free would be a good addition to the squad. He is better than Edwards etc.
