Fosun, if you read our posts please take note. In England, if you want the best out of your football team, you allow your manager to manage. If you have an experienced agent on board you get him to earn his keep and negotiate for the manager. Otherwise you will see empty stands and watch your agent get richer and your profits get smaller. Come on look at the models of all of the successful clubs. An agent doesn't run the show he works for the manager who runs the show. This is soooooo frustrating.

11 May 2017 22:06:25
After the last game I was ready to just forget about Wolves for a little bit. Just have a few weeks with no major news and enjoy the end of the Premier League. Now all this has blown up. I just want it sorted quickly whatever they decide to do.

11 May 2017 23:08:41
Personally I think it will be mid next week before we hear what's going to happen. I let you work out why that might be? . If PL stays then his targets should be a priority as I think they would definitely improve our team. 👍⚽️😉.

12 May 2017 08:41:24
Fosun, like all Chinese companies, have no respect for their international management teams, not just in foitball. They are mostly business illiterates and want weak yes men (no women please) who don't chalkenge. Now it looks Lambert will walk out and a Mendes stooge will come in. Soon there will be banners saying: 'Fosun Out'.

11 May 2017 20:05:37
Shi praised Hackett then sacked him. he praised Lambert and will probs sack him. moxey said one day we will thank Morgan. did he know that fosun were bad news?

11 May 2017 20:12:48
It could be worse. At least we aren't going to end up with Redknapp.

11 May 2017 20:01:02
I honestly think given the funds Lambert will bring in players which will have us buzzing. abraham. for example. other clubs wouldn't be willing to pay 15m plus for him that's where we come in with the billions desperate for the top flight. will do anything to get there. that's the attitude. shi gives us hope in interviews reels us in. we pay the money for the 16000 season tickets. by this point were commited the money is in the bank. then they do what they want. clever man.

12 May 2017 09:21:07
I think you are a bit over the top wednesfield wolf with your comments on Lambert thinking that he will have us buzzing, look at our home form and the football we played also Lamberts comments on saying that this squad could make play offs.
Face facts we are still a long way from top six, also being honest I have to say on is behalf, Marshall is a good sighning but the Weighman transfer if goes ahead is okay but still a long way short of what we want up front to get us the goals, if he was that good Derby would have kept him, so overall sorry to say Wolves fans but Lambert as proved nothing to me yet with the position we finished in league after him saying how good the players were when he came.

11 May 2017 19:58:11
When I saw it was the Star and Telegraph reporting Lambert might leave due to Mendes being in charge of transfers well i'll wait and see as those two rags aren't exactly reliable.
But as the saying goes no smoke without fire so I will just wait and see what happens.

11 May 2017 19:28:21
So Daily Star reckons Lambert's shopping list included Abraham from Chelsea, Grant Hanley from Newcastle, and Tom Lawrence from Leicester. Seems pretty good to me but Fosun knocked him back because they want Mendes in the driving seat choosing transfer targets. If that's true then this is the stage we are going to be talking about for years to come. Lambert has taken a team to the premiership and kept them there. How many of the other available managers have done that. He has had to work with a nightmare squad this year but no complaints because he understood he would get a chance in the summer. Looks like he has been sold down the river.

11 May 2017 23:10:27
It doesn't really matter who the manager is now if Mendez is calling the shots. How do we attract a quality manager who is willing to play second fiddle?

11 May 2017 19:18:07
Hey listen if anyone can balls something up wolves can but if you really think mendes is going to let his mates spend millions on players that aren't on his books and therefore he can't have his 10% then your deluded. brace yourselves for the foreign invasion again only this time earlier and nothing you I or Lambert can say will make a blind bit if difference.

11 May 2017 19:10:52
And the new manager will have no say on signings let a lone be able to speak english. no point. club is doomed. they will sell Costa and invest to make profit again whilst we sit in the bottom half talking about the same rubbish next season. players need to settle. that players home sick bla bla bla. I can see a protest coming. the man came out and said they have learnt from last season. its actually funny. even moxey is having a laugh. i'm sure someone will think this is the best thing to happen to us.

11 May 2017 19:25:38
Wednesfield Wolf, Paul Tamworth is loving this. He's wanted Lambert out since day 1.

11 May 2017 19:50:35
Yes and he may not be very happy with who follows Jas M! Lambert has not had a chance to build his own team, but his two additions of Weimann and Marshall were a cut above the rest. His Norwich side scored 83 goals en route to the Prem. which shows what he can do when given the freedom to manage his way.

11 May 2017 19:54:10
Paul Tamworth hasn't supported a manager since MM.

11 May 2017 19:06:44
Did anybody ever think mendes was finished at wolves? He had a big part in the negotiations to buy the club and I would have thought he will always have some dealings with wolves as long as fosun are the owners.
I suspect lambert fancies a move back to Norwich and is making a big deal of the mendes situation.
I'm a bit worried about the name linked with the job though, his record looks like zenga's. Now could be the time to show some real ambition and get a top drawer manager to shake us out of our comfort zone when survival and mediocrity is acceptable.
Chelsea are never slow to show mediocre managers the door and it works for them.

11 May 2017 19:13:06
Good post Rosie Lee 👍.

11 May 2017 19:52:11
Paul Tamworth, your views on PL are well known mate, and that's your choice and decision as a paying fan who loves his club. But you must agree, giving Mendes the power that's being reported, is going to do no good at all for our club. We will end up a total mish mash of unknown, unproven players in this league/ country.
I can't think of any decent manager who'd be prepared to work under those circumstances- unless he's on Mendes books already.

11 May 2017 20:04:53
I agree Mendes has a big say, so surely bring in a manager who can work with his type of players and get the best out of them. Lambert is dull and to predictable and his football has been dire. Hope he goes Thelwell as well, no loss imo. Act now Fosun, be pro active and not re active.

11 May 2017 20:14:45
But if Mendes brings another load of his players in, how is any manager going to work with them?
We need a manager, whoever it is, to name who he wants, be financially backed by Fosun, and allowed to build the squad he wants, and play a team he picks.

11 May 2017 20:30:51
Maybe Fosun have realised Lamberts not the answer? Which I totally agree.

11 May 2017 20:47:58
You've made that point clear. But who could work under those conditions? Being dictated to by an agent.

11 May 2017 20:56:44
We're only hearin Lamberts leaked half of the story? Let's see what Fosun say when Lambert goes back to Norwich.

11 May 2017 21:05:51
If he goes.

11 May 2017 21:30:37
If he stays definitely a dead man walkin, I'd say it's in his interest to get the Norwich gig.

11 May 2017 19:04:57
My personal view is lambert wasnt the bloke for the job in the 1st place i'm a season ticket holder and watch sum of the dross he's set up since he's cum in omg its worse than jacket at the end square pegs in round holes cums 2 mind playin 1 upfront at home is a joke we just haven't got the players around the striker 2 play this formation its ok away from home because your hittin teams on the break in my opinion i'd be glad 2 c the back ov him and I think a few fans would I agree we do need stability but surley there is sum gud coaches/ managers out the who can bring a mix ov british and foreign players 2gether karanka would be my choice dun it wiv boro getin them out ov this division and wiv muny at his disposal he would get sum decent players in that's just my opinion.

12 May 2017 09:29:46
Great comments Johnnywolves cannot argue with that, entertainment comes first and there's been none at the Molineux.

11 May 2017 17:17:03
Whether PL stays or goes, whether you like him or dislike him, one things for sure. If the rumours are right about Mendes having final say on transfers- we can all kiss hope of success goodbye.
All we'll end up as, is a 'shop window' club.
Mendes will bring his up and coming players over, on loans etc. Show the big boys in the prem how good they are, then sell and cash in. Making a nice little 10% every time.

If this really is the future of the club, there'll be a massive Wing Wah on the patch of land we call Molineux soon.

11 May 2017 19:29:10
Wow, 1 year in and you know all about mendes and what are chairman wants.

11 May 2017 21:06:38
I said rumours. Try reading properly.

11 May 2017 21:07:33
And it's public knowledge that Mendes takes 10%.

11 May 2017 16:58:36
I do not like what is coming out of Molineux, ok so Mr Lambert was appointed to do a specific job, ie get us in the play offs, he failed and just kept us in the division with players not of his choosing. So let's turn the cloock back and appoint another foreign manager with no experience of the british football, if this is Fosuns idea of moving us forward I would urge them to look at Blacburn, a road we don't wish to take. Mendes is an agent not a manager, if Fosun can't see the wood for the trees then I will be the first to say SHIP OUT .

11 May 2017 17:49:37
Totally agree good post Hedesford.

11 May 2017 14:06:05
Are Fosun going to go down the same road as last year in letting Mendes control the transfers. 12 duds and one gem!
I thought it was agreed Lambert would have the say as to who would come in and if he goes who could blame him, no manager worth their salt would put up with having no say over transfers. On the other hand if we keep Saville and sign Weimann who isn't a winger or a striker, then maybe we don't have the right bloke in charge. Wolves - If there is a chance of messing it up we can and we do. Already washing our dirty linen In public.

11 May 2017 17:46:43
GB you forget God in have a 40% share of Mendes company
It ain't rocket science to work out what they are up to.

11 May 2017 18:26:23
It is becoming obvious that Wolves are being used as a shop window for Benfica players with Mendes in control, this will help his company/ Fosun and we will hopefully get the benefit of some better technical players, the problem is that plan will not get us out of the championship. The fans have been let down again, when will it end.

11 May 2017 19:28:20
Wow lads mendes had weeks to get a bit of a team together . get off the blokes back. give him time to sort it.

11 May 2017 20:01:12
Dappa, Mendes is an agent, not a manager. He should be nowhere near the clubs' hierarchy because of such a conflict of interests. It should be down to the manager to bring in the players he wants, not an agent.

11 May 2017 13:13:22
Come on Lambert do the right thing and resign! 👍.

11 May 2017 13:31:06
So you're ok with Mendes having a say and Wolves just being a selling club are you?

11 May 2017 13:54:08
Problem is now PT is that no manager can ever be blamed for our results when it's clear that he is being told that he is to coach a mish mash of players with varying levels of talent. I hope your happy now that your wish is almost a reality.

11 May 2017 14:00:00
we don't want to replace him with a Mendes puppet who will then blame our poor position on the players not being his choice . Even if we don't like lambert you have to admire his stance . The planyers mentioned in the article would be the choice of the fans I think .

11 May 2017 14:09:11
Yes if he does resign over it fair play, I respect him for it, more so than Jackett when he was the 2 M's puppet. But I won't mis him at all, one player up top at home, playin 2 midfielders as fullbacks, not winnin a point in February and basically endin our season in January. I won't miss him.

11 May 2017 14:30:33
And what did PL say at the end of the season? Oh that's right, that we needed experienced full backs hence Silvio coming back into the team and some strikers. So he's made a list of players he wants to improve the squad and basically been told to go away and work with whoever someone else brings in.

11 May 2017 14:40:50
Wipe your tears away Jas, he's as borin as your posts lol. I await the Lambert lovers response lol.

11 May 2017 14:49:20
PT, forget about Lambert or anyone else as manager, the most worrying thing here is the mess that is going to be made of our club by the involvement of Mendes. We are going to go nowhere as a club if the parasite agent runs our transfer policy.

11 May 2017 14:51:28
Your missing the point Paul. It's become apparent that no manager we install will have a say on incoming players. That's the problem. How do you prepare a team when you haven't got the players to play the style you want.

11 May 2017 14:51:55
Will people be upset to see the back of Thellwell? I think not. Onwards and Upwards! Well done Fosun not bowin down to some two bit coach.

11 May 2017 14:53:55
What if Mendes decides what Wolves need is to get rid of all of our defenders because they've had a poor season but decides to replace them with 6 attacking players so we play good attacking football every game but lose as we haven't got any defenders. Would that do you Paul?

11 May 2017 14:58:16
Pellegrini Ranieri Silva far better choices than Lambert, fingers crossed him and Thelwell go.

11 May 2017 15:07:12
I think you are letting your feelings about Lambert cloud your judgement, PT. Far from well done Fosun, this is one of the worst things that they could do. No half decent manager would want to come to Wolves if they are going to have their hands tied over transfers.

11 May 2017 15:19:40
Let's see who they bring in before criticising Fosun?

11 May 2017 15:25:09
by all means get rid of thelwell he must be good at something to have kept his job this long but whatever that is its not football related.
but surely we can't jump on the managerial merry go round we need stability we need a plan for the future and a manager who knows this league and how to get out of it. A foreign manger every year is not the way forward.

11 May 2017 15:33:16
No decent manager will want to come if they have NO say on transfers. To me, that is a major mistake by Fosun. My opinion. I appreciate you have your own opinion PT but I am very concerned about this situation. An agent should not have a say on a clubs' transfer policy, let alone dictating it!

11 May 2017 15:38:34
PT, Thelwell ain't going anywhere. Mendes buying the players without consultation with the manager is a massive problem.

11 May 2017 15:59:26
the mangers stated may well be better than what we have but will not come to our division therefore we will end up with some on known and some will be calling for his head by November .

11 May 2017 17:51:30
PT look past the end of your nose will you?
OK PL goes like you dream about every night BUT look what happened last time Mendes had his dirty paws in our trough _ Sent a.
Why couldn't he find a better manager then if he so good?

11 May 2017 18:12:48
Looks like the new manager will want to look at the likes of Batth, Saville, Evans, Wallace etc to see what they can offer going forward. That will waste thus transfer window and the manager will be sacked in November. The next manager will be appointed and will want to assess the squad and not purchase too many players in Jan and guess What? We'll be in exactly the same position we're in now.

11 May 2017 19:34:45
Latest is that Wolves are trying to convince Lambert to stay on and have agreed to scale back Mendes influence.

12 May 2017 09:09:16
The only but of sense yet.
The main point is to get Mendes out of the club and back to being an agent not in control of transfers.
If PL goes he goes but means starting all over again.

11 May 2017 12:48:53
Can't believe what I'm reading here fosun Want Mendes to handle transfers and bring in overseas players and lamberts wants to bring in Tammy Abraham, tom Lawerence and grant Hanley to add to this squad as well as spiers saying bids in for other players as well, yes okay use Mendes for 1-2 overseas players which I think lamberts wanted to but not leave mendes to all it when after all he brought 13 players in and only 1 maybe 2 have worked lambert brings in 2 and both work don't get this one but the fact what john Percy wrote saying the people are fighting to keep lambert tells you they want him here so if that's case (not saying everyone will say that want him) then give him what he wants if you want him Fosun.

11 May 2017 12:26:00
News stating Lambert could quit the club after being told he can't bid for Abraham, Hanley and Lawrence. Apparently Mendes and Thelwell handling all transfers and Lambert isn't happy as he wanted to buy English players and they want Portuguese.

11 May 2017 12:43:47
Yep Pompey all over twitter now!

11 May 2017 14:17:00
A lot of channels saying the same thing, probably sourced from each other. Wondering if he is wanted by Norwich?

11 May 2017 09:09:38
Who's going to buy Jack Price? And saville getting an extension! Please don't let this be true, league 1 players and that's being kind.

11 May 2017 14:21:16
Price will find a club, I'm sure of that. But he's not on a free so Wolves can play cute. Think Birmingham, Bristol City, QPR, Ipswich. We've seen how players get games after they leave Wolves: Berra, McDonald, Davis, Golbourne, RVLP. Same with Price.
