We overcame the 10 behind the ball and gave as much back as we got (millwall bullyboy tatics) the cost of jota on loan for season quality bit of business as he a matchwinner as proved. as a new born team growing stronger and better each week getting points tally as we have gives me beleive in my beleive for the team success. didn't like the weather euromanπŸ‘βš½fwaw.

Didn't see Millwall as bully boys in the slightest, granted there was the one challenge on Jota but other than that they did nothing we wouldn't do. I thought they really tried to play football.

The early goal was crucial as it took the pressure off and meant it didn't matter if they defended deep.

Jota and Costa in the same side is something to get excited about.

11 Sep 2017 17:07:11
Will Costa automatically get into the team? Graham didn't. Cav can't. Marshall and Batth finally. It's a tough team to get into.

Fantastic win for the mighty wolves. I have to say all this moaning about we need a proven striker is rubbish.

Bonatini had a cracking near post effort saved and a millwall player got in the way up the other end for him when his rebound effort was goal bound.

We will always score goals. The main factor in any great footballing sides is always build a strong foundation and the rest will come! I will happily take another 30 plus one nil victorys. Come on me babbies.

Bonatini had three shots all on target and unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. Excellent first time drive from Doherty pull back in first half, well saved at near post by Archer. Keeper thwarted again with good save after Bonatini dummies to shoot and drew in the defender who he rounded before having his shot charged down by Archer. Then with Archer beaten his volley hit defender and rebounded to safety. He also linked play well, drew defender with good run for Jota's goal and made countless clear runs which midfielders didn't feed. I, for one, think his goals will come, hopefully starting on Tuesday.

18 shots, 70% of the ball, 1 goal. It is not good enough. Not my words but Nuno. I agree. Happy with the result but much to build on. Nuno is the best manager we ever had by a country mile so I really hope we go up and Nuno sticks around, up the lads. but we do need to take more of our chances, no excuses.

11 Sep 2017 11:33:46
Goals are coming from the midfield, how can we moan if bonatini doesn't score jota, neves, cav, vingre can and I'm sure Costa will when he's back but will he get straight in the team? I'm not so sure at the minute happy days UTW.

11 Sep 2017 13:27:24
Exactly Mutiny. Nuno said the same and Diogo. Can we whether the problem until Jan that's the question? We have excellent players and control most of the games most of the time, but just can't finish the opposition off when we are in control. Lots of squeaky bum times coming up me thinks. It was 19 shots on goal BTW. We won which was the main thing. Nuno's the best we've had since Bill Mc Garry that I remember and watching from the North Bank at the Mol. He will get it right I'm sure!

We would expect more than one goal from that tally. But we have to take what comes. On the other hand, limiting Millwall to two on target shows how difficult we are to play against.

11 Sep 2017 17:36:29
True mate. i'm sure wed take 1-0s all day long. To get us promoted. it looks like that's the way its going to be until jan. then we must buy strikers. won't we?

10 Sep 2017 16:36:02
Get Afobe on loan.
Proven striker needed.

10 Sep 2017 16:51:17
Don't you know there's no window till Jan?

11 Sep 2017 11:34:37
You can loan players, Swansea.

11 Sep 2017 13:50:51
No you can't.

11 Sep 2017 14:26:25
You can get players in on a free.

11 Sep 2017 15:35:53
Only if they are unattached.

11 Sep 2017 16:00:37
Forget Afobe! πŸ‘Ž.

11 Sep 2017 17:09:52
Afobe not free and unattached. Maybe I'm labouring the point.

10 Sep 2017 15:20:57
Played really well yesterday but never killed the game off. Anyone else think for a team packing the midfield with a 3-4-3 we are lacking a bit of width? Playing with a false 9 also with bonatini, rarely making runs in and round the defence meaning we've got no counter. Everything is build up play. Which is great to watch but I don't know how many more 1-0's I can cope with! Cavaliero must have a bigger part for me.

Any news when Costa is back? Thought he was scheduled for early September. I think he could be the master key.

Also anyone know what's happened with Zyro, he's fit isn't he. He's a big lad with an eye for goal, was really impressive before his injury.

Either way good result and onwards to Tuesday where 3 points again is a must!

11 Sep 2017 10:45:47
Plenty of width centrally (as in from Vinagre and Doc) but agree the LF/ RF are quite narrow which I think is intentional. It does seem though when Cav comes on he stays out wider and maybe Costa will do the same but I think they are all drilled to know what position Nuno wants. It's working so far anyway. 6 wins and clean sheets in 8 is way better than I hoped for at this stage.

Well done Steve Morgan givin a million dollar donation to the Caribbean relief fund following the devastation left by the hurricane. πŸ‘.

10 Sep 2017 12:27:15
I'll second that. Well done. your a generous guy! πŸ‘.

10 Sep 2017 12:35:37
Very philanthropic.

10 Sep 2017 14:12:49
Fair play to Morgan credit to him . Nice big word there lupinehowler. thought it was a name of a Greek striker for a moment . πŸ˜€.

10 Sep 2017 15:21:58
At least Nuno knows it ok to control games obviously, but it's no good if there no end product - goals win games. Tippy tappy football is good to watch, but if your managing a game and there's no one scoring goals or just the odd one here and there, we will get caught out. Just hope Bonatini doesn't get injured! We have some great talent in the team, the recipe needs working on to get more goals while we control games for large periods.

10 Sep 2017 17:25:34
WOLVESCOAST WE WON?

10 Sep 2017 18:24:50
We have won another clean sheet and still the moaning give it a break for God's sake
We could be Sandwell.

10 Sep 2017 20:27:28
Happily we did win PT but we were only one goal from losing two points. We will need to score more than one goal per match as our defense, good as it seems are bound to concede in some matches.

10 Sep 2017 21:33:54
PT we did. βš½οΈπŸ˜‰πŸ‘.

11 Sep 2017 10:49:45
The goals will come. Nuno said on day 1 the plan is to build from the back. Stop conceding goal, make all the players comfortable in possession and then focus on the other end. Can't help but feel a player like Afobe could have a field day in this side. He's the type of player who can drop deep to link play but also be the striker.

On another day Bonatini could have had a hat-trick and I'm really impressed with how he links play. All we heard was the players won't adapt etc but they're adapting very nicely but they are still adapting and will get better and better.

10 Sep 2017 08:21:34
I'd gladly take another 40. 1-0 wins, but don't think my finger nails quite agree!

10 Sep 2017 11:50:32
100% agree with you lowwolf and what others are saying definitely need to finish teams off might loose a few points at 1 nill in the final minutes if we can't find the second goal and that would definitely feel like a loss with 70% of the ball.
