I love a flutter and there aren't many 1-5 shots get beat. This is Solbackken's current price so it could be done and dusted!
A real gamble from Morgan and can someone help me remember an unknown manager from abroad doing well in this country.
I can think of a couple who didn't do well, Gross at Spurs and was there an Icelandic fella at Stoke?

But it could work different styles n all that might accually get us playin ball

I think he will do OK personally , a lot of people here were wanting OGS who won one league title in Norway , while Stale Solbakken has won the Danish league five times with two different clubs.

An unknown manager doing well in this Country what??
Mourinho says it all, Poyet yes played in England but still was unknown manager, Di Canio, SGE, Di Matteo, Zola, Ranieri, Jol the list goes on and on and on You may say Mourinho won Champs league well Solbakken beat UTD and drew to Barcelona so pretty well known

If you hadn't heard of all those people you mentioned then you must have been living under a rock for the last 15 years.
Be honest, you had never heard of SS as a player or manager.
I say give the bloke a chance, i was just pointing to the fact that unknown managers from abroad don't do well, then i thought of 1, Wenger ( had sort of heard of him at Monaco )

Think arsene wenger you never know

Does solbakken even speak English?

Had a year with Wimbledon in his playing career so I presume so.

Of course he speaks English. How many people do you know that speak Norwegian outside of Norway. Saw an interview he gave ob SKY anyway so yes.
Glad to see he seems to be the type who doesnt suffer fools aswell so he should ruffle a few feathers in the dressing room!

Apparently speakes better english than steve bull

Maybe we should get Ray Wilkins in. We'd know he'd get on with Roger at least.....

Couldn't drive to Wolves though - would need a driver? He and Johnson could car share!

Yes, 90% of scandies speak perfect english, there taught from the same age as we are !

He can speak three different languages ahh bet he cor spake black country tho l o l

so morgan can make a speach to people who can aford to pay 95qued for a dinner but not to fans who strugle to pay 30quid to watch their team.shows whos important and who isnt.

Proberly the only ones stupid enough to have bought an early bird too ! more money than sense

I got my early bird mate , and i aint stupid , have plenty of sense and more importantly im a full blown wolves supporter , who unlike you , supports his club through thick and thin , oh and this aint a rumour its a fact !

Ditto - early bird - not stupid, just committed!

solbakken 15 to 8 on 5 danish titles 1 german relegation what do ya think ! im going manager crazy ill be glad when its all over !!

No smoke without fire ! he's come from nowhere to be favourite.

Could he be coming with OGS ?

Doesn't sound like the sort of record thats gonna have clubs lining up to take him up (apart from us ). I doubt the Danish league is any stronger than the championship and will be a different type of football.

There were massive amount of problems at koln no money to spend at all player drink driving n being banned poldolski future the bloke didnt have a chance so id ignore that

Tricky having a foreign manager managing over here for the first time it could go either way if theres new ideas new methods its worth a try dont forget the men who turned their backs on us initially credit to bruce who wanted to have a go they were british but they will complain their jobs are going overseas !

He's still fairly young he looks like someone who doesn't take any nonsense.

I think he likes to play fansey football ed can you tell us his style of play {Ed003's Note - fansey maybe? }

Well attacking football then lol

The relegation bit is probably the thing that got Jez going, can't pass up a bargain, ideally the guy should be financially under the kosh as well, for us even to consider.

At the same time, he is the right nationality, just wonder if we got his name right, Ole was it?

Stale as DoF?

Might be an interesting combination.

Anyone heard what Kevin Doyle is going do stay
with us or go I think he owes at least another
season

He owes us a season of goals mate cos he aint dont his job this year

I think Doyle is just lacking confidence, in a similar way to Carrol and Torres. They both hit form at the end of the season and will be on fire next if they stay injury free. Lets hope Doyle gets some goals at the Euro's and comes back like the Doyle we first signed.

Steve Bull should be the next Woves Manager .
He is not only a Past Woves Super Star Legend but
he would have the confidence and respect of the
players and fans ,any thoughts on this

Love and respect him too much to inflict this on him.

Steve Bull would be Great as of Wolves Manager he is of the right age and the championship League would be great place for him to start .

He was crap with Stafford Rangers in the Blue Square league.

He is a legend but as a player and I guess as a bloke but that's where we should leave it, with his history and reputation in tact.

Football management - different story. Let's get a new man in by the beginning of June. Earlier if we can.

I know a plasterer, he the best one in the country, his work is perfect everytime and can do a full room in half an hour.... yet id never let him mess with my brickwork as it doesnt make him a builder !

Steve Bull = big mistake.
He has a couple of shots at management and they've not been happy ones. Let him be an ambassador for the club so we can enjoy his good times.

I would probably consider him on the coaching staff as an attacking coach, but what do I know, I'm only 3rd on the managers shortlist

Leave him as an iconic figure. It would only end in tears, it always does. Only exception to this Sir Alex. Look at King Kenny...

They woa understand a werd is sayin any road.

Anybody been to the End of Season dinner tonight? Any stories? What did Moxey/Morgan/anybody say that wasn't the gas that we've already heard?

Check the E&S , they had positive things to say including buying more players so we can go straight back up.
