we won't get out of this mess because the players are not bothered doyle, ohara, henry, blake, foley, ward are not interested they will go at the end of season no matter where we are. sako doumbia will go to another club, pesco will go back to germany for some reason saunders dosent think he is good enough. I think its saunders is no where good enough, the bloke wouldn't make a good number 2. but reality is morgan won't sack him won't admit he was wrong twice. unless we get a new owner that will appoint his own men then the outlook at wolves is very bleak indeed. we all know that a dof is needed and moxey should go but this won't happen unless this regime goes. if we drop to div1 then this might happen and morgan sells up, to get a good manager would be difficult, we have tradition, a great stadium, a fantastic fan base so u never know. adkins would be ideal no 1 choice no question. youth would definatley come into it if we went to div1 but u need old heads too, so IF WE WENT DOWN whose old heads do u think would be good for us?

No old heads worth keeping, that's why we are in this mess, the captain can't lead and is playing is worst football since he as been at club, ward who I said get shut of would be at his level in div1 so yes keep him, ohara, sako, doyle, johnson, peszcho will all be gone anyway, and I would keep blake in div1 if we could

10 Mar 2013 22:54:10
With our demise to the 3rd division looming, who will be best suited to be our manger come August considering the attraction would only be a third tier team.

My preference would be to go back to Solbakken or Owen Coyle

Can't argue with either of those names. Adkins is the other name in the ring. Or get Curbs out of his garden like we should have done a year ago.

10 Mar 2013 22:20:17
Anybody seen leigh griffiths dissallowed goal today? Bring on goal line technology and bring him back to wolves deano cos' you messed up. Again.

10 Mar 2013 20:18:46
The lunatics have taken over the asylum.

10 Mar 2013 19:36:45
I'm never giving up. No matter how bad it is, I won't accept that we will go down.

However, defeat to Bristol will knock me back a bit. I'm in this til the end, supporting the lads and the team.
Wolves ay we

If we lose that, we're down, or deserve to be. There's already a gap opening up above us. Got to expect three of the bottom 4 to go down. The odds aren't great, and the 6-pointers are very important.

Anyone remember TC saying the 6 pointers against Bolton and Blackburn weren't important this time last season? We lost them both and guess what? (OK we'd have gone down anyway, but that's not the point)

10 Mar 2013 19:35:09
It's not like Saunders doesn't have options. He does, he just chooses not to give Doumbia, Peszko the chance to shine in a competitive game. We've had a manager like that for 5 years and i'm fed up of seeing graft over quality.

Got to agree with that does get boreing with this f. c. watching graft over quality

That's Dean's philosophy though. We should've stuck with Solbakken.

10 Mar 2013 16:43:37
Saunders must go

The employment of DS must be terminated this week as I had hoped he would have been gone last night (in truth I have never wanted him as he record is hopeless)

The club is bieng let down by individuals and Morgan must act to stop the rot bieng terminal.

I will go against the popular view and support Steve Morgan, he has stuck to his side of the purchase and invested considerably in the club including the training facility, stand and under Mad Mick the playing staff, it is true the development works have assisted his wider buisness intrests but consider if you were stood in his shoes, would you have followed his path or invested further into Wolves knowing that the club was a money pit.

If I had a pot of money like he has and I had worked my tatters off for it I would feel pretty cheesed off, and heres is my version of recent board meetings

Moxey -

Don't worry Steve, if we are relegated I have negoiated that players wages will be reduced by 50% and we will easily win promotion because the players are all brilliant, I know this because Mick and Terry said so

Morgan -

But Jez, might that not upset them and they will loose thier motivation and things could be difficult, after all, the brickies I employ are motivated by pay, what do we do then Jez

Moxey -

Not a problem, I have this thought this out already, we sell a few of the expensive assets as we have we have few don't we and they are worth a lot of cash too, its like your diggers Steve, you have 4 or 5 on site so you can afford to sell at least two of them, but if you think you need another you can always buy a knacker or hire one, that way we keep the money in the bank and if needs we can buy

Morgan

Genius Jez, but can you manage this

Moxey

Steve, as you have already said, I am genius, You see, we recruit a new manager, sell him the idea that the bank is full of cash and if he doeas well he can spend, if we do poor, we sack him and start again

Morgan

Genius Jez

Moxey

Yes I am, this shows that it was not my fault we got relegated, Mad Mick lost the plot, as you recall I did warn you but, as you know we (with your money) backed every request he made

Our new man will have big ideas, a change of direction, he will be foreign, we can be Liverpool

Morgan

Genius Jez

Moxey

Better still Steve, if our new man fails we sack him, then we appoint someone who has no experience, does not need to earn money because they are already loaded and prepare ourselves to go dowm, this will then save on us having to fulfll contracts, pay big transfer fees and we can promise the fans a bright future, which really when you think about it Steve is like building development, you own the land, you build for the future and you set the prices you want and because everyone needs a house they keep coming back, a bit like our supporters really, keep coming back irrespective of what we sell them, they need us, we don't need them

Morgan

But Jez, where does that leave the club, it seems a good idea but!!!

Moxey

Steve, as you have said, I am the genius

Well its easy, we go down and buy a new team, get promoted and the supporters will have forgotten about the bad days, they are too thick to think any different, as long as the team wins, which it will in the lower league its easy, they will keep coming back and love you more than their own children because you stuck behind their beloved team despite two succesive relgations but when promoted we then spend a little more in the Championship and after more consolidation we get back to the premier league

Morgan

Genius Jez, pure genius

This is only my assesment of what has, and is going on, if SM really wants to protect the club (his investmnt) then Saunders must go as we have lost it on the pitch, whilst Moxey must also follow as he has sanctioned every sale, purchase and negotiation

The club is bigger than everyones ego but Moxey is hiding behind others failings by recruiting failures

Saunders must go

Spot on

10 Mar 2013 16:10:19
it ain't over till the fat lady/man sings! 2 home games and away at st andrews! get behind the team now! they need our support more than ever!
do the moaning at the end of the season if we go down. but give support now! please!

Couldn't agree more!

2 home wins and win at bham what I would give for that, and then we can build for next year, with new manager and team, that will play some football, something I havnt seen at molineux for years, how for those days of waggy, doog, knowles, munro & bailey a borne leader now them players would fill your new stand mr morgan, class not graft or 11 s. hunts that was enough to lose a lot of loyal fans when deano said that I for 1 said to myself, I will not pay good money to watch graft and no skill, and certainly not 11 s. hunts, makes my blood boil when deano said that, and them up the road no names mentioned, are 7 in prem and chasing europe and have spent nowhere the money we have spent, sort it or go deano.

10 Mar 2013 14:26:59
have I dreamt this we recently hired a guy from QPR as head of a recruitment team PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THAT WAS ALL ABOUT

It means you've been eating too much cheese before bedtime.

10 Mar 2013 14:22:19
what a laughing stock we've become in the people steve morgan has told deano therell be loads of dosh next season if we stay up you couldn't make it up

10 Mar 2013 14:14:07
Option 1

Stay up by the skin of our teeth.

Ok so we can still call ourselves championship barely, but other than the financial side of things what does staying up offer us? Apparently we have been a well run club for years so finances has been our only saving grace which has worn very thin after seeing poor performace after poor performance, with over paid over rated players still sulking about having there already huge wages cut when they don't even deserve half of what there on now.

To top that off, we have two in charge at the top who have broken so many promises over the years and wormed there way out of everything aimed at them by appointing useless manager after another to deflect the heat off them, also very timley appointment when it come to put there hand in there pockets in transfer windows.

Result. Well we have gone from an established championship side who most of the time pushed for promotion and got lucky to a struggling championship side with no direction, no resources and no ambition. What will change if we stay up again? Morgan has already made it clear his money stays in his pocket, we will run a loss this year and he will this will justify the sales of sako and anyone else we can get a bob or two. Cue another year of fighting to stay up in the championship.

Option 2

We get relagated, main concern of this is finacial slide of course where we could end up in big debhts asset stripping of any players worth a buck or two to cut the wage bill massivley. Sounds like a nightmare scenario doesn't it?. Not always, firstly you can hide the fact these players have let us and the club down, they don't deserve to play for us for especially on the wages they recieve to do so, a massive clear out would happen, there would be no choice but to do so, cue the young players like baath, cassidy, doherty to step up and maybe the likes of liam mcalinden and zele to finally be given a go not to mention some of the players we could pick up from playing the div 1 teams week in week out, first these players heads are on the ground, they don't think they are super millionaires they are young hungry footballers. Much prefer to watch guys with the right attidude. There has been many side in div 1 over recent years that build from scratch and not only get that winning feeling but take it with them to the championship once promoted, yes it can take a few years to do put the right balance together but surley its better than watching what were watching now?

The other thing about going down is with morgan not wanting to put any more of his own money into the club, he won't subsidise wolves which means he will proberly look to sell up, now yes the "be carfull what you wish for" motto can apply but for every chicken farmer, thai money launderer there's a ambitious cardiff foriegn owner or a ethusiastic football first owner. To me morgan has neither interest, knowlege or ambition, three keys things that you need. Could be a blessing in disguise if we go down and he left especially if he took moxey with him!

Yes there are other options such as stay up, sell up then find a billionaire or mogan finaly learns his mistakes and runs the club well enough to compete next season or we go down and down and down

All i'm trying to get at is going down isn't the end of the world, some of my favourite times was eatching wolves in the lower leagues with players who played for the shirt. I think some of you have forgot what's really important to you and become obsessed with league and status due to rivals doing well naming no names of course. Before I get gunned down now its not that I want wolves to go down, i'd love to see us up with stoke and albion competing and beating them but this will NEVER happen with our current squad and board and that will NEVER change while we plod along staying up just about every season slowly sinking but not fast enough to cause a revolution which is what the club needs

Mills wolf

Perfectly put. well said!

To be honest, the thought of playing third tier football under Saunders horrifies me. I have no faith in his ability to get us back up. I know he hasn't brought any one in, so we can't judge him on his signings, but his tactics are dreadful and some of the comments he makes about players beggar belief. We really don't have a style of play and hoof ball is outdated now. If we do go down (and I think we will) I think we will be just another Coventry, Bradford or Swindon.

Southampton, Norwich, even Man City have all had spells down there and are now enjoying Premier footy. Forces a club to make changes. Mind, that's what we said this time last season.

10 Mar 2013 13:57:19
for those of you that went to bristol city know that day they were crap, now with a new manager they are playing well. if we get a draw saturday we've done well, I say that beause we are playing crap. can't see anything but a city win. I think deano as lost it altogether, he is talking gibberish, he started sat with 442 then after 16 mins changed it to 451 allowing forest to come at us which they did, football managers in the championship must be thinking love to play wolves every week because they haven't got a clue. as long as he is manager down here thers only one way we are going and that's DOWN. pedro

10 Mar 2013 13:48:15
I was beginning to think wolves insider and estate agent were code names for Dean Saunders but then I realised he talks more rubbish than the pair of them!

10 Mar 2013 13:44:17
I am in despair once again because of where our club is heading, why because I feel the manager and board are out of their depths. Cold truths, ineffective players who are not producing to their supposed abilities, better players who are I feel being put in the shop window for an end an of season sale, and verbal garbage as to extending contracts of failed players ie E-banks & Edwards. I expect Doyle, Sako, Pesko, Bokari, OHara, Siggy, Doumbia, Johnson, Gorkss, Robinson, Stearman, Hunt, Hammil, Griffiths, DeVries all to have departed prior to next season regardless of which division we are in, and the starting 11 to include many younger and therefore less expensive players, I also expect Saunders to walk, I hope I am wrong but I cannot see any light at the end of this dark tunnel. Out of darkness cometh further despair, drastic changes are needed top to bottom, not next season but NOW.

10 Mar 2013 13:32:18
I have not posted on here since the Millwall game because I had no congratulations to give. Then when I did come on here I saw lots of persons saying this is it, well done Deano etc. So unless a lot of fans new to this site came and posted. That means that the people who before the game were saying were down and DS is rubbish etc are the ones who posted. Those of which have now probably reverted their views back to before the Millwall game! Not to mention if we stay up or go down they will be the first to say I TOLD YOU SO! Why not sign off your name of sign up to the site? Oh sorry that's a silly question. I'll make my views clear now. (You can quote me on them weather they become wrong or right). I don't think we will stay up and I don't want Saunders as manager. I also never wanted Solbakken sacked. Although I do have to admit after the Luton game out of sheer frustration I may of said he should go. But up to then I was behind him, and as soon as he was sacked I thought oh no. But its too late now, there's no point in crying over spilt milk. I will also add I don't think I have never felt so distanced from the club (thought wise) Sorry for ranting but that's just how I feel

Thats exactly how I feel perfect an solbakken would of been better option siewolf

10 Mar 2013 13:07:37
Morgan recently said if you want me to leave i'll leave.

. Well I want you to leave so do it will ya!

In one breath he says 'im a bulder, I biuld houses I need my advisors to advise me

In the next breath he says moxey is the best at what he does and saunders is the best young manager out there

You got henry saying were too good to go down, saunders comparing doyle to bully saying he just needs a goal.

Moxey saying this job is not for an inexperianced manager then appoints 3 inexperianced mangers.

Morgan, we won't go an albion. No why would we want to follow there gameplan when we can do a sheffield utd instead?

The whole club if full of people who don't know what there doing and come out with statments to back this up, sooner we get rid of morgan first the rest will start to leave then we can move on. Wished we sold the club to souness and his consotium now, least he knows his football!

Mills wolf

I think morgan as to sell if we go down, because he will have proved to wolves fans, he doesn't now enough about football to run our club, and besides he would be losing money, a lot of money, that's why I think he will sell, if we go down which I hate to say looks very likely at this present time how we are playing. hope he does same as sir. jack sells for 10 pounds, and let new owners put x amount of millions in, can but hope can't we wolves fans, someone as to get it right someday, and make this great f. c. established in the prem league were it belongs, because not even morgan is bigger than our f. c. oldgold

10 Mar 2013 11:30:04
no chance of staying up! thankgod I saw the light and gave up my season ticket! plus i'm sick of all fans moaning on here does my head in! bye bye and good luck in league 1. i'm so so happy

{Ed011's Note - You're sick of all the fans moaning on here? Would you rather we were celebrating and planning the end of season parade? We're hardly in a position for anything else.

Strange rant!

10 Mar 2013 10:36:20
It's just dawned on me we are patheeeeeeeetic. m&m's new motto into darkness, how not to run a football club!

10 Mar 2013 07:56:04
deano out, the muppet, were going down

Its not just deano mate, he only took the job offered, the real muppet is morgan and his fat advisor moxey

We all no now, why morgan said he would sell f. c. if the fans don't want him, because all he as done is covered himself if we go down, because he knows we will blame him, and he will take easy option and sell if we go down as he will not want to pay the wages these players are on, in div1

10 Mar 2013 09:51:36
i can't believe its happening again freefall once more I thought deano was doing the right thing by changing the defence but were back to square one same old faces same old errors our record over three years is double depressing

Seams lot of trouble stems from not having mid, good enough, to take pressure off defence and attack with nowhere enough goals comeing from this area and also not enough goals from upfront, get rid of deadwood, needs change quickly while there is still a bit of time left to change our season

09 Mar 2013 23:41:34
its just a football team.

{Ed011's Note - Bill Shankly once said, "Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that."

It is not just a football team. It's turning onto Waterloo Road on a Saturday, seeing the Molineux, with the crowd walking towards it around you. It's walking out onto the terraces and seeing the pitch and ground open up. For 2 hours nothing else in the World matters. I was there when Hunt scored THAT goal against Blackburn to make it 2-3. I was there at Luton away when the final whistle went. Even from the last few years so many good memories and so many bad. Even at our lowest points we are not just a team, we are Wolves and forever we will be Wolves.

Great rallying cry, but the only way I can get through the day is to remind myself that it's only a game and I'm not one of the players.

I've even stopped talking about Wolves at work now. (I live a long way from Wolverhampton and my work mates - who used to show an interest - seem to understand my pain!)

09 Mar 2013 20:23:23
To be honest I wasn't expecting any more than a draw from today's match. Like everyone else I'm disappointed but not unduly surprised. Ed 011, can you lift the gloom and give us any crumbs of comfort? Any thoughts on the next nine matches, and if we can manage to take enough points to stay in the division? wolfshead. {Ed011's Note - No!

Just kidding. But in all seriousness I think we'll turn the corner next Saturday. Get some wins in. Over the summer we might lose some players and we might push some players out.
