Really annoying that some fans want to get rid of Danny Batth. Come on the lad is only 25, he still has a lot of learning to do and if we buy a decent experianced CB (who isn't always injured) he'll benefit and will bring his game on.
Just some people have short memories. Jodie Craddock comes to mind, use to be shit, but now he's alright! Get behind the lad, bloody hell his wolves through.

I really like Danny and wish he was better. I think he's OK for the Championship, but were we to get promoted there is no way he could still be our CB. I also don't think he will learn a lot at this age.

2.) 09 Aug 2016 11:52:57
Danny should easy run this championship been at it years sorry 2 slow and not good at reading the game.

I agree woz316, but I'm more disappointed than annoyed.

It's part of our cultures inherent nature though, from grass roots enterprise where people had to live hand to mouth, win every day and keep winning to survive, it's caused us to have a very short term over demanding view. It works fantastic for us when we are at the top, helps keep us there, but on our arse, it gets in the way of us getting properly back on our feet, we are too often half-cocked / shallow / fickle.

Truth is, to an extent individuals don't matter, it's the team, passion and belief that matters, and Danny is a great part of that. We need him, we need to bridge the old and new and make both work together, not upset the dressing room.

I think as part of the team Danny can do it for us this season, if he can't then he'll move on to something better for him and we'll get someone more suitable in. But without a doubt, he's here right now and he'll do better with more positive support giving him confidence, than he will being knocked all the time.

We are meant to be wolves, one with the club and team as the 12th man, but we sit separate to our fighting pack and just snipe. Instead, let's just get behind the team and support it, it can deliver if we do.

I can see zenger getting the best out of batth Like Kenny has with Edwards, stears etc.

If you think about it, if Morgan Sell's Wolves for 40to50 mil, how much money has he actually lost since taking control of our club? Think about it, after asset stripping the team, money from being in the premier league etc, I would say not a lot, if anything he has probably gained. Also then you've got the land he brought, and Redrow building the stand.

Wonder what good old Sir Jack would of made him?

woz316

1.) 19 Jul 2016 11:36:57
Redrow didn't build the stand.

2.) 19 Jul 2016 11:57:17
They developed Compton and Redrow profited from that one way or another.

I think SMorgan's legacy is hanging by a thread, which should be a big deal to him, his charity covers this pocket, Wolves across to Shrewsbury up to Wrexham. His charity work is actually irrelevant, he only does it to win Honours and open opportunities up for Redrow, it doesn't make a legacy on its own.

His legacy, and opportunity to be respected in this area (which I think is very important to him) will be entirely determined by how much he sells Wolves for (how he profits) and who he sells it too. He was entrusted by SJH, he got to own the club at a fraction of it's value on the basis of trust. After Moneyshop, I have zero confidence in him, I don't actually think he or Moxey know the difference between right and wrong.

3.) 19 Jul 2016 13:30:03
Ulf - Imo I think Steve Morgan tried to sell us fans when he was taking control, that he was "the new Sir Jack", which he clearly was not. Wolves was just a clever buisness opertunity for SM, he took advantage of Sir Jacks genorosity, and when he passed away, he showed his true colours. I think the Legacy when SM finally leaves Wolves, will be a mixed bag of emmisions. mostly disappointment, a lot of broken dreams and promises.

4.) 19 Jul 2016 14:18:22
I actually do think SMorgan originally had best intentions, there was nothing wrong in him seeking to make money while he was here to justify his time and investment (£30m) , as long as he did the right thing for Wolves. I'd bet as a property developer himself SJH saw SMorgan like that too.

Smorgan didn't do the right thing though (stand we didn't need instead of investing in team, low wages, manager fiasco, Moneyshop) , but perhaps only in error, out of naivity because he believed in Moxey's advice too much, rather than it being down to a desire to cynically exploit us and the opportunity.

Imo SMorgan has everything to prove now about his whole time here, shark or incompetent dove misled / let-down by Moxey, we shall see what he's really about when the sale is done.

5.) 19 Jul 2016 14:21:01
The way I see things' and it's an opinion, regarding sir Jack and Morgan are this, he had Jacks pants down and moxey was happy to help knowing he was to be kept on in some capacity if I hings went well for morgan' I doubt Jack would have agreed to Morgan taking over seeing how he has played the game and treated the fans.

MOXEY WATCH

Just a update, no announcement this morning because I just saw Jez in McDonalds eating a double sausage McMuffin Meal. He is a messy bugger, he's got ketchup down his shirt. this might take some time.

But by this afternoon (after tensese and elevenses and an extended lunch) Moxey's shirt is likely to be so covered in splatter he'll be able to pretend it's a hugely expensive Jackson Pollack original piece of art, on a shirt, and he'll be good to go in front of the camera's:-)

2.) 14 Jul 2016 10:10:39
The pr from wolves is crap is it really so hard too just make a simple statement saying yes we being taken over and a statement will be released with more details in due course instead just not even acknowledge that anything is happening full stop were not stupid but being treated by club like we are.

The AC Milan buy out has been delayed by a week or two, wonder if this will have any impact on the sale of Wolves?

If Robin Li is buying wolves, it is a pretty good prospect for himself and us fans.

I beleive we don't have any debt, we have the stadium (sort of) , the acadamy, the whole infulstructure, its ready for the premier league - all for about 30million.
Just think a small investment into playing staff/ coaches and we could be in back in the big league. What is it now around 100million for getting promotion! It business it makes sense, and we'll be a whole lot cheaper than buying a premier league club. Fingers crossed this all comes off, we've been a in the shadows on sandwell town too long.

Wolves Ay We.

TBH loyalty is a rare thing in football these days, and most footballers are only after one thing, at that is a good wage. If you was offered a load more money, for doing the same job, would you do it?
Also Sako could of gone when we went down to league 1, but he stuck with us, so fair play to him.

Despite Villa being on the verge of signing Ross McCormack, I really don't think they have any money, they are well dodgy. They only have the funds to sign RM after they've sold a could of players. Anyway sod the villa, up the Wolves!

Think i'm going to miss those times when we really needed signing, then we got a young/ hungry player who went into the U21 squad.
