Four centre backs on the market and who will we get? Mawson is on his way to the Cottage, Mina 30m+, Rojo 25m+, Pepe 6m.
This is a no brainer!
Pepe is a liability. Rojo is not worth that amount. Mina has age, height, strength all in his favour.
We should go out on a limb to get him. even if it's 40m+. The guy is a tower of strength.
But I'll still back Nuno's decision.
What do you think guys?

wolfie22

{Ed004's Note - If Wolves intend to play a back 3 I think Rojo could be a very astute signing}

1.) 30 Jul 2018 17:42:21
Wolfe, there's 100% no Chance Mina will come to Wolves when he's already said "I want to go to Man Utd".
I'd have Rojo as he's already got Premier league Experience, Pepe is a Massive liability.

2.) 30 Jul 2018 17:46:16
Rojo is top of that list for me, quality player.

3.) 30 Jul 2018 18:00:01
I agree with Wolfie22. Yerry Mina is far and away the best of that bunch. Imagine him one side, Boly on the other and Coady in between! Oh and Rui Patricio behind! Now THAT is a very very decent defence.

I understand Mina has said he wants to play for Man U. I always wanted to play for Wolves and England. Just because you say you want something it doesn’t mean it happens.

OODCL.

4.) 30 Jul 2018 18:06:42
Watch us get Mangala or Lindelof on loan for the season instead.

5.) 30 Jul 2018 18:12:57
Lindelof had an excellent World Cup.

6.) 30 Jul 2018 18:34:16
Danny Batth better than all of those mentioned.

7.) 30 Jul 2018 18:54:15
Lindelof'take him all day long.

8.) 30 Jul 2018 19:09:44
I'd be happier with Lindelof instead of Pepe! I do think we are missing a trick with Mawson despite the reported £20m price tag though. But it's Nuno's view that counts!

9.) 30 Jul 2018 19:37:44
Stu Rojo only played 9 games fore manu last season and got 7 yellow cards imo to big a risk.

10.) 30 Jul 2018 19:50:37
Das your last paragraph made me laugh I also wanted to play for Wolves and England but I agree Mina is the one for me, but unfortunately it’s not my decision.

11.) 30 Jul 2018 19:53:40
Mina won't go to Man Utd if they sign McGuire first.
I agree with some that I'd also take Rojo but. only if Mina is out of the equation.

12.) 30 Jul 2018 23:41:52
Mina too expensive for us, Rojo far too injury-prone and a sending-off waiting to happen.

THERE ARE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE IT. .

No, not Ruben Neves wonder goal v Derby County. I'm on about the goal scored by young Niall Ennis tonight v Man Utd U23.
Dribbling at pace, leaving defenders in his wake, then bang. top corner from 25m.

We have to get a couple of strikers that know how to hit the back of the net! If we had we would be in the top four. It’s been our problem for a long long time now. Missed chance after missed chance! Oh, how we need a couple of quality proven goal scorers. Please address this aspect to our game urgently. It could easily be a different story week in week out! Come on the Wolves. ⚽️👍😉.

2.) 27 Oct 2018 17:08:12
We are losing or drawing games we are dominating. The solution is obvious. He shouts! We need two proven finishers to put the chances away created by the rest of the team. This could be such a different story😢.

3.) 27 Oct 2018 17:19:49
You're right WOLVESCOAST they had a goalscorer in their front line and we didn't. I don't want to criticise but it's been the case since the start of the season. It's sad to create so many chances and come up scoreless. We can only wait until January for any kind of a solution. Ah well never mind, Come me babbies.

4.) 27 Oct 2018 17:28:10
We are losing games we should be winning. Great overall play and nobody to finish the chances. It should be a very different story. Don’t like to moan, but it’s all so frustrating. End product please soon as. ⚽️😉👍.

{Ed025's Note - it was never going to be as easy as some thought coast, this league is very difficult and you are doing just fine imo, it will be a roller coaster at times but just sit back and enjoy the ride mate..

23 Oct 2018 15:41:55
I agree Baza. Cavaliero, Jimenez and Traore just the ticket.

wolfie22

31 Jul 2018 13:20:44
I am not totally enthusiastic about Traore and at roughly £20m, there is better value elsewhere. Invest in Yerry Mina at £30+, we have wide men already. Shore the back up and Mina, what a great acquisition he'd be for set pieces.
Also, these worried fans about lack of signings. I would sooner be in our boat than those down at Fulham. £42m for Mitrovic and Mawson? Now who's getting desperate.
Oh, desperate brings me to the Vile. How petty is Bruce and that whole set-up down at B6. Sorry fat man, Wolves then Forest are before you in the queue.
Wolves 2 Everton 0.

1.) 31 Jul 2018 14:19:16
Please, can someone explain? Douglas 5 goals 14 assists Afobe 6 goals sold Cavelrio 9 goal 12 assists possible being sold and so far no players with better records coming in, can anyone explain the logic and why do some people think we will finish top ten, just asking.

2.) 31 Jul 2018 16:43:27
Should have kept Douglas and Afobe and definitely need to keep Cav.

3.) 31 Jul 2018 16:57:59
Cav isn't going his in wolves plans.

4.) 31 Jul 2018 19:49:38
I can explain quite easily.
Douglas sold for disciplinary reasons (don’t piss Nuno off) replaced by Jonny
Afobe was never in nunos plans, isn’t the kind of striker we need and not good enough for prem. replaced by Jiminez.
Cav will not be sold.

5.) 31 Jul 2018 21:10:34
Let's see what we end up with after Aug 9th?

6.) 01 Aug 2018 12:41:45
Thanks, Manc Wolf for the info so we have replaced Afobe with Jimenez who scored 8 goals last season and replaced Douglas with a player who scored 3 goals in 183 games at his previous club. Sorry still do not see the logic, but you never know, in Nuno we trust.

7.) 01 Aug 2018 13:09:36
Afobe failed in the Prem with Bournemouth. No reason to think he would do better with us.

If Douglas is so good and went so cheaply, why did a Prem team not come in for him?

Answers on a postcard please.

8.) 01 Aug 2018 13:39:41
We will never know, still look on the bright side we still have Batth.

JDB and the Iceland squad. What a marvellous gesture. Full respect to you all. Hope you make the last 16.

Ivan Cavaliero - go or stay? If the Terriers or anyone else come up with £15m, snap their hands off.
Nuno and Jorge will have players of a better quality ready for the premier league.
Don't judge Patricio, Jimenez or Guedes on their performances so far. It isn't long ago that we were saying Coady can go, take the £2m. We must support and trust the boss in all that he does.
Having said that, I would like Jose, de Souza, Abate, Patricio, Wilshere (not on that wage though), A Silva, Pele to complement our squad.

1.) 18 Jun 2018 12:40:13
What have Iceland done?

2.) 18 Jun 2018 13:55:33
Took time out to wear shirts with IKEME emblazoned on them and wish him well. And they play Nigeria this week.

3.) 18 Jun 2018 14:46:23
Absolute class by JDB and the Iceland squad. Total respect to these guys. Hope they have a great World Cup.

4.) 18 Jun 2018 16:12:36
What JDB did today with his teammates was absolute class - well done to the squad, total respect 👏.

Traore got a foot like a trampoline - Costa so lazy, loses ball down tools - Cavaliero agree re injury but way too inconsistent.
Agreed Neves hasn't been great of late but he is our jewel in the crown.
Players do have poor spells but aforementioned trio "just don't cut it".

It's not size of the squad I was referring to, it was the forwards. Traore f***** clueless, Costa lazy and Cavaliero no thanks. Gimme Ennis any day over them.
Like I said, Digne or Sala with Nakajima will do.
Agreed, we do need to strengthen the squad but get rid of the dead wood too.

But not all firing atm. I'd take Nakajima and release Cavaliero and Traore.
In my humble opinion, Raul is definitely worth keeping.
But one more striker is needed, Sala or Digne.

Would take M'baye Digne and Javier Hernandez.
Time to offload a winger or two!

I've already taken the 8's on offer. Can't see a way out of this rut. This is not a blip, it's a slide with nowhere to get off. A team with no confidence and no direction.

That was dire. Saiss at RCB?
Bennett or Dendoncker yes.
Get rid of Cavaliero. We are getting steamrollered in midfield.
Jimenez 110% best player again.
Roll on January. Never said that before but new blood is needed.

Agree with you Matt, bar one.
Sorry, but Cav's down the road for me. Never again.
And there's a few more in there who are living on the past.

It's 5 without a win now. To stay in this league we need to be beating sides like Huddersfield, Watford and Brighton.
We were abysmal, clueless and with no alternative plan to correct the situation. Six minutes in, 0-1. 84 minutes to correct it. We wouldn't have scored in 84 days.
Don't want to go on but there are six players on that park who wouldn't play for me again.

To me, too many players think their places are guaranteed.
There's half a dozen I would offload asap, starting with Doherty and Cavaliero.
Beginning to seriously worry about Boly too.
Time for young Ennis and Buur to step up.
