well what can i say at the current rate of sales we won't have sold 20,000 for the cup game on monday night how sad for a team that is trying to push on 3000 waiting list for season tickets and we can't sell out for liverpool in the fa cup fickle we must be liverpool sold there's in 4 hours come on wolves supporters get behind our team!

1.) 05 Jan 2019 00:31:59
They shouldn't try to rip us off charging full league price to watch a b team. I pay enough for my season ticket as it is.

2.) 05 Jan 2019 01:16:46
I agree with Chrishb. They got the pricing all wrong on this one. I love the FA Cup but don’t believe most clubs do anymore which is sad. Reality is it is going to our reserves v their reserves on a Monday night on TV and yet they want full price? Five of us STH’s travel up to every home game but only two of us are going on Monday. Midweek matches mean leaving home at 2pm and getting home at 1am the next morning.

3.) 05 Jan 2019 09:50:52
i think if you look at prices else where under 30 pound for an adult is a bargain we don't have a b team we have a squad which is always improving it will be sad to be on the the ground with the same faces from 2 seasons ago hope we can beat liverpool and push on its all we have to play for in reality so I fore see a strong team sheet onwards and upwards COYW.

4.) 05 Jan 2019 12:06:12
To be honest, if we were to make a move for Abraham, we should do it in the summer. We need someone who is proven at PL level. An obvious choice would be Origi or Llorente on loan too the end of the season, this gives us the striker we need now and allows Nuno to assess other potential players.

5.) 05 Jan 2019 12:32:33
familys just after xmass and new year . behave.

6.) 05 Jan 2019 16:32:08
You are all aware I take it that Liverpool set the prices even tho it's our home game.

7.) 05 Jan 2019 18:09:12
I counted this morning and there’s 6,000. I expect more people will get it at the door. I think they’ll lower the prices if it’s not around a sell out. Obviously it being on Monday, after Christmas, on BBC, doesn't help.

8.) 05 Jan 2019 19:59:01
Nuno. ES, why would Liverpool set the prices for the home team? They can only dictate the prices for their own allocation.

9.) 05 Jan 2019 19:51:54
The Liverpool match is on free TV, BBC1 on a Monday night when everyone is back at work/ school. Plus they are charging PL ticket prices. Guaranteed a low attendance! They have this one wrong.

10.) 05 Jan 2019 19:52:32
How much disruption to our fixtures do we have to suffer before fans get fed up? Saturday 3pm home kick offs few and far between, no home games over Xmas, New Year’s Day game moved to Wednesday night, drawn at home in FA cup and moved to Monday night. Clubs are compensated for televised games but apparently not the fans, half price for season ticket holders would have been a welcome gesture.

11.) 06 Jan 2019 16:20:11
Jas it's a done thing in the fa cup apparently, home and away tickets shouldn't be different and the 27 was what Liverpool wanted their fans to pay, the wording of the rule is
Immediately after the draw is known, the Club playing at home shall decide on the prices of admission, subject to a minimum price of £10.00 for all spectators other than concessions. The away Club’s spectators can only be charged more than the home Club’s spectators if mutually agreed by both Clubs.

12.) 06 Jan 2019 21:54:01
That suggests that Liverpool don't set the prices then.

13.) 07 Jan 2019 13:16:42
No, it suggests that liverpool didn't agree with a cheaper price and Wolves increased it to comply with the rules - it's quite easy to understand.

get ready for loads of negativity we wernt at the races tonite . roy hodgsen is well known for organisig defences (perhaps we shoud ask him for tips ) we created nothing and defended like a league 2 side now we need to dust ourselves off and have a look what's needed I would like to see den doncker start more often offers more protection for the defence but more stength all over the park please onwards and upwards COYW.

1.) 03 Jan 2019 00:27:49
It comes across as the players can't be bothered against anyone other than top 6 tbh, those players tonight need to take a long hard look in the mirror.
Anyway that's the only negativity from me they need to dust themselves down now and get on with it.

2.) 03 Jan 2019 01:20:21
P*** Poor again today. Can’t pass a ball, nothing up top, sitting back and letting palace play, no pressing and no desire to get the ball back and put it in the back of the net.
Put us against Man City in the next week or so and we’ll be playing well and putting a shift in again! It’s frustrating.
Call me negative if you like but, playing well against the big boys and letting the “lesser” make us look stupid isn’t good enough. Fulham, Huddersfield, Watford, Cardiff and now Palace are games we should have been better in.

{Ed0333's Note - calm down mate you’re a work in progress and way above par. You have lofty ambitions and will be a real force in a few seasons. I hate to spit out cliches but Rome wasn’t built in a day mate. Enjoy the ride

3.) 03 Jan 2019 08:32:22
Jesus Christ, we win and we are the best ever we lose and it’s all panic. I genuinely dislike our fans.

4.) 03 Jan 2019 10:18:55
Agree stuu
2 years a go we were just a average championship club
Look where we are now, I like everyone else was pissed off with last night's result, but we are learning in this division as long as we stay up and then build.

5.) 03 Jan 2019 14:15:16
The weakness is the forwards - sign Abrahams and one other and it will be fixed, 7th at least by May. Maybe FA Cup Final too.

09 Dec 2018 22:46:16
a great reult not a great performance but we scored twice and that is good enough we have a young inexperienced side that with our support and a couple of seasons in the prem could become a real force onwards and upwards COYW!

1.) 10 Dec 2018 08:25:53
Sometimes things go right and it helps balance out games when we felt robbed like Newcastle fans must have felt on the other hand good teams often score in stoppage time and it was a good attack and Doc was there for the rebound also good attacking subs after the sending off.

02 Jul 2018 21:43:44
one more attacking midfielder to be signed who I don't know but hold the front page folks its going to be a biggy get ready for jaws to drop!

1.) 02 Jul 2018 22:17:28
Linked to Stefano Sturaro from Juventus.

2.) 02 Jul 2018 22:18:40
What do you know Billy, don't tease. 🙏.

3.) 02 Jul 2018 23:47:56
James rodriguez I heard 👀👀.

4.) 03 Jul 2018 09:21:18
I have it on good authority that now they are out of the world cup, Messi and Ronaldo having a penalty shootout to decide which one joins us. Nuno will be in goal. Honest.

5.) 03 Jul 2018 09:21:57
Maybe the carpet fitter the plumber or the electrician out again.

6.) 03 Jul 2018 18:00:20
Wolves to sign a player, people will have heard of his name. When he signs I’ll say I told you so.

Yawn.

03 Jun 2018 20:42:48
so far no real surprises I am really happy with bolly and jiota not so sure about afobe think we could of got him for nothing if we waited (eddie howe can't stand him ) . but he is now a wolf again so will get my full support match days as for other rumours don't believe anything until it comes out of the mol mostly papertalk and clubs talking up prices still think we need 3 major signings and trust nuno and the board to find the right players onwards and upwards COYW!

Great rumour.

2.) 04 Jun 2018 10:32:01
Debbie you are being sarcky.

3.) 04 Jun 2018 11:40:17
1) why would Bournemouth sell at 12 million asset for free?
2) there was rumours that Howe was reluctant to let Afobe go because he rates him highly.

This rumours page is getting boring now.

4.) 04 Jun 2018 13:29:42
Soon have to create an extra page on here for “Slagging off Afobe” as it’s neither “Banter or “Rumour”. apart from Kane and Aguero who would people take from top Prem clubs? Lacazette? Martial? Welbeck? Moratta? Lukaku? . at least give the lad a chance to prove you all wrong!

5.) 04 Jun 2018 13:59:24
Overrated. Past it. Every one of them.
(not being serious)

Seriously, though, we're not yet in the league for big signings. Good mid-table clubs like Everton probably won't be signing any of those players because their wage demands are so high, even if the transfer fee is affordable. They signed Rooney but I bet many here would say he's past it too.

Leicester, probably a good comparator for us, frequently sign players we haven't heard of rather than big earners. So it will be scouting the Portuguese, Spanish and French leagues for up and coming players who can't break into the first team for us. I'd take more like Neves, Jota and Boly without hesitation.

6.) 04 Jun 2018 14:27:21
Good post Euroman. I think a bit of a reality check is needed by some. It's great being linked with big names but for the most part, to get any of them will take a massive leap of faith because we aren't an established Premier League side yet.

With regards Afobe, Nuno wouldn't have agreed to sign him if he didn't feel that he could improve him. Look at Coady and Doherty, they have come on massively under Nuno. During his loan spell, Afobe was building up his match fitness and adapting his game to a different style and a different role from what he used to play. With that under his belt and a pre-season, let's judge him on his future performances. Nuno obviously trusts him, so we should too.

And with regards to this rubbish about selling him immediately after signing him (the Stoke rumours), there are two things to consider; firstly, we do not need to penny pinch to get a small, quick profit anymore, so unless Nuno thinks he's got it wrong after a couple of days, then there is no sense in buying and immediately selling. Secondly, Afobe would have to agree to a transfer out, it's not just the hierarchy saying he'd have to go. If he turned round and said "No, I've just signed my contract and I want to fight for my place" he has every right. Given the fuss he made about coming back, even if these ridiculous rumours were true, I'd be amazed if he went.

Just consider if we did sell Afobe in those circumstances, who would want to come to Wolves if they were treated like that? No player would trust management and it would destroy everything that has been built over the last 12 months. We'd be no better than that idiot at Sporting (whom I am really angry at for slagging off our club as not being honest! )

Let's do things the right way - we are Wolves!

7.) 04 Jun 2018 22:19:15
I agree Euroman I’d love more players like neves jota and boly they r better players by far English players to expensive and over rated.

8.) 05 Jun 2018 07:22:25
I disagree on a few points. Football is all about team spirit or the wolf pack.
Players that shone last season that were British and wolves fans didn’t know what to expect and a slot cheaper than the european imports:
Coady (2m), Douglas (1m), ruddy (free), Bennett (free)
Not to mention the academy players that played a role such as batth, Doherty, bright (won us a couple of games against hull and Barnsley) and MGW.
But there is a new found trust in the football side of the club.

the dust has settled on a great season now the speculation can begin whos in whos out one thing I know for sure is expectation seems to be getting higher / I for one would settle for a similar season I think we massively overachieved this one. I would like to see one more forward one more midfield and 2 more defenders but can't go on a mad spending spree we already signing raul and hopefully dendoncker that's a fair few quid spent before we start. the bench needs more strength in depth for sure / can't see any of our first 11/ 12 getting sold so would take a loss on traore bad buy imo / cav and costa debatable but I am sure nuno and the gang have there own ideas and we certainly won't be arguing with them . is there going t be a new shirt this season?

billy wrights slippers

1.) 17 May 2019 09:37:39
Rumours are that Fosun will give Nuno £200m to spend if we qualify for the Europa League next season.

2.) 17 May 2019 12:58:54
If true they mean proper business
Hope your right, I hope the top six are worried.

3.) 18 May 2019 07:47:59
Reckon new signings will be first team quality like Donk and Moutinho not one for the future like the old days.

26 Apr 2019 17:36:41
gotta ask the question folks do we really want 7th europa league possibility could be really damaging for us next season with such a short squad for me finish 8th boost the squad by 2 -3 and push on next season loved every minute this season some great days and nights!

billy wrights slippers

1.) 26 Apr 2019 18:22:36
100% agree, would much prefer to finish 8th
, add to squad during the summer and launch a challenge on the top 6 next season.

2.) 26 Apr 2019 20:05:47
I would love to finish seventh. and go into europe. surely then would more class players want to join the revolution. coyw.

3.) 26 Apr 2019 21:30:58
I'd like 7th. You've got to take whatever you can achieve at the time. Europa would be great preparation and learning curve for the future. Agreed the squad needs building, but that's a necessity for a serious poke at top 6 next year anyway. Go grab the chance.

4.) 27 Apr 2019 10:04:44
You finish as high as possible and European football would be a massive plus! It would certainly help us bring in better quality players. Those who want to finish 8th are like other fans of other clubs who say their team isn't ready for promotion to the Prem! You can't pick and choose other teams evolve and could get stronger, take any opportunity with open arms! We could all be dead tomorrow 😱.

5.) 27 Apr 2019 13:09:09
Totally agree PT. Take the here and now everyday!

6.) 27 Apr 2019 17:07:17
Well we could always let Fulham beat us like we done with other bottom teams lol

If we get into Europe and that depends on Watford still we just treat it like another cup with Ruddy in goal and Saiss Traore Cav playing the league has to be priority.

25 Apr 2019 17:36:26
had to wait a day before saying how well we done still defending too deep and too much for me but 3 good goals and could of been 5 or 6 can only say a big thank you to nuno for changing the city into a happy place to be onwards and upwards COYW!

13 Apr 2019 15:14:12
captain calamity strikes again basic defending errors for a sweeper play for england more like play for walsall ason imo we need a more reliable / better captain!

billy wrights slippers

1.) 13 Apr 2019 17:07:11
Are you for real?

2.) 13 Apr 2019 17:52:21
yes I am for real the first 2 goals can be put squarley at coadys door as can a lot of others this season he always gives 100% I admit but that is not good enough we have to be realistic sweeper easiest position on the park and should be able to read the game without a problem sadly connor is not up to the current standard!

3.) 13 Apr 2019 18:17:38
And Traore.

4.) 13 Apr 2019 18:38:18
your dead right he's not good enough england class my a***
In my opinion need new keeper as well, as for Traore what apart from speed has he got, don't think he has a head tbh.

5.) 13 Apr 2019 19:32:54
What is wrong with you people? Have you got "goldfish" memories and it's all about the last week? Embarrassing!

6.) 13 Apr 2019 19:55:50
7th/ 8th in table. FA semi final (lost by a whisper) having beaten Liverpool and man u on the way, points against city arsenal spurs Chelsea man u again, may as well get rid of nuno too. come on guys we've had a great year and in my opinion Coady has been outstanding. Saiss was the guilty party and God knows where traore was for third today. It's a hard lot to raise yourself after last week's up and down. Hopefully they'll get back to the task in hand next week. If we get on the doom road were as bad as what we're criticising.

7.) 13 Apr 2019 20:14:25
Here we go here come the moaners bet you've been waiting for this moment all season haven't you, you negative so and so.
Get rel it's our first season back we are 8th this is a fantastic achievement and 12 more teams would love to be where we are stop moaning.

8.) 13 Apr 2019 20:27:50
Funnily enough, this time last week, people were saying we were brilliant and Nuno was the best thing since sliced bread. How short a memory some people have.

9.) 13 Apr 2019 21:30:49
Look on the bright side people we’re winning the battle not to finish seventh.

10.) 14 Apr 2019 10:00:06
i always try and look at the positives and I can honestly say if we had a better more savvy sweeper we would be closer to the top 6 all I can say is if connor still has the armband next year get ready for a few more defeats I think wehave had a great season and will always remember jiminez goal at wembley it was a cracker hopefully nuno will adress the few problems we have and things will get even better onwards and upwards COYW!

11.) 14 Apr 2019 12:05:37
7th is as about as close as you can to 6th. seriously I know what you mean billy, but what we've achieved with the players week in week out (and Coady as played every minute) is truely remarkable and a little slip up here and there at this end of the season can surely be understood. Fosun have got what they want, Nuno as set out his stall and top players will join us. The story as only just begun and the likes of Coady must not be forgotten in their role of the Renaissance of our Wolves. Be happy.

12.) 15 Apr 2019 09:55:32
Yep agree
Def keep coads we do need another centre half but it wi be Bennett who gets replaced I think cover for doc another centre mid and a forward
Easy isn't it ha ha.

08 Apr 2019 12:56:49
well after a roller coaster weekend now back home after all said and done have got to say watford were the better side and yes being 2-0 up we should have managed the game better but what a great campaign given my son and wife there first trips to wembley and still points to play for / are we ready for europe I have to say not just yet are we rady for another good season in the prem yes we are and as for all the haters of the west midlands watch the wolves march on you will always be the minnows onwards and upwards COYW!

billy wrights slippers

1.) 09 Apr 2019 15:33:12
YES being 2-0 up and with some great chances to go on and put it out of reach we let them push us back which was our down fall full credit to Watford they took advantage and there was only one winner in extra time with jota off and no creativity in midfield with both neves and moutinho gone.
But it's gone now and we move on we've had a great season and we could get to Europe but is our squad ready or big enough I don't no.
But we will be premiership next season that's the main object. UTW🐺.
