well what can i say at the current rate of sales we won't have sold 20,000 for the cup game on monday night how sad for a team that is trying to push on 3000 waiting list for season tickets and we can't sell out for liverpool in the fa cup fickle we must be liverpool sold there's in 4 hours come on wolves supporters get behind our team!

1.) 05 Jan 2019 00:31:59
They shouldn't try to rip us off charging full league price to watch a b team. I pay enough for my season ticket as it is.

2.) 05 Jan 2019 01:16:46
I agree with Chrishb. They got the pricing all wrong on this one. I love the FA Cup but don’t believe most clubs do anymore which is sad. Reality is it is going to our reserves v their reserves on a Monday night on TV and yet they want full price? Five of us STH’s travel up to every home game but only two of us are going on Monday. Midweek matches mean leaving home at 2pm and getting home at 1am the next morning.

3.) 05 Jan 2019 09:50:52
i think if you look at prices else where under 30 pound for an adult is a bargain we don't have a b team we have a squad which is always improving it will be sad to be on the the ground with the same faces from 2 seasons ago hope we can beat liverpool and push on its all we have to play for in reality so I fore see a strong team sheet onwards and upwards COYW.

4.) 05 Jan 2019 12:06:12
To be honest, if we were to make a move for Abraham, we should do it in the summer. We need someone who is proven at PL level. An obvious choice would be Origi or Llorente on loan too the end of the season, this gives us the striker we need now and allows Nuno to assess other potential players.

5.) 05 Jan 2019 12:32:33
familys just after xmass and new year . behave.

6.) 05 Jan 2019 16:32:08
You are all aware I take it that Liverpool set the prices even tho it's our home game.

7.) 05 Jan 2019 18:09:12
I counted this morning and there’s 6,000. I expect more people will get it at the door. I think they’ll lower the prices if it’s not around a sell out. Obviously it being on Monday, after Christmas, on BBC, doesn't help.

8.) 05 Jan 2019 19:59:01
Nuno. ES, why would Liverpool set the prices for the home team? They can only dictate the prices for their own allocation.

9.) 05 Jan 2019 19:51:54
The Liverpool match is on free TV, BBC1 on a Monday night when everyone is back at work/ school. Plus they are charging PL ticket prices. Guaranteed a low attendance! They have this one wrong.

10.) 05 Jan 2019 19:52:32
How much disruption to our fixtures do we have to suffer before fans get fed up? Saturday 3pm home kick offs few and far between, no home games over Xmas, New Year’s Day game moved to Wednesday night, drawn at home in FA cup and moved to Monday night. Clubs are compensated for televised games but apparently not the fans, half price for season ticket holders would have been a welcome gesture.

11.) 06 Jan 2019 16:20:11
Jas it's a done thing in the fa cup apparently, home and away tickets shouldn't be different and the 27 was what Liverpool wanted their fans to pay, the wording of the rule is
Immediately after the draw is known, the Club playing at home shall decide on the prices of admission, subject to a minimum price of £10.00 for all spectators other than concessions. The away Club’s spectators can only be charged more than the home Club’s spectators if mutually agreed by both Clubs.

12.) 06 Jan 2019 21:54:01
That suggests that Liverpool don't set the prices then.

13.) 07 Jan 2019 13:16:42
No, it suggests that liverpool didn't agree with a cheaper price and Wolves increased it to comply with the rules - it's quite easy to understand.

get ready for loads of negativity we wernt at the races tonite . roy hodgsen is well known for organisig defences (perhaps we shoud ask him for tips ) we created nothing and defended like a league 2 side now we need to dust ourselves off and have a look what's needed I would like to see den doncker start more often offers more protection for the defence but more stength all over the park please onwards and upwards COYW.

1.) 03 Jan 2019 00:27:49
It comes across as the players can't be bothered against anyone other than top 6 tbh, those players tonight need to take a long hard look in the mirror.
Anyway that's the only negativity from me they need to dust themselves down now and get on with it.

2.) 03 Jan 2019 01:20:21
P*** Poor again today. Can’t pass a ball, nothing up top, sitting back and letting palace play, no pressing and no desire to get the ball back and put it in the back of the net.
Put us against Man City in the next week or so and we’ll be playing well and putting a shift in again! It’s frustrating.
Call me negative if you like but, playing well against the big boys and letting the “lesser” make us look stupid isn’t good enough. Fulham, Huddersfield, Watford, Cardiff and now Palace are games we should have been better in.

{Ed0333's Note - calm down mate you’re a work in progress and way above par. You have lofty ambitions and will be a real force in a few seasons. I hate to spit out cliches but Rome wasn’t built in a day mate. Enjoy the ride

3.) 03 Jan 2019 08:32:22
Jesus Christ, we win and we are the best ever we lose and it’s all panic. I genuinely dislike our fans.

4.) 03 Jan 2019 10:18:55
Agree stuu
2 years a go we were just a average championship club
Look where we are now, I like everyone else was pissed off with last night's result, but we are learning in this division as long as we stay up and then build.

5.) 03 Jan 2019 14:15:16
The weakness is the forwards - sign Abrahams and one other and it will be fixed, 7th at least by May. Maybe FA Cup Final too.

09 Dec 2018 22:46:16
a great reult not a great performance but we scored twice and that is good enough we have a young inexperienced side that with our support and a couple of seasons in the prem could become a real force onwards and upwards COYW!

1.) 10 Dec 2018 08:25:53
Sometimes things go right and it helps balance out games when we felt robbed like Newcastle fans must have felt on the other hand good teams often score in stoppage time and it was a good attack and Doc was there for the rebound also good attacking subs after the sending off.

02 Jul 2018 21:43:44
one more attacking midfielder to be signed who I don't know but hold the front page folks its going to be a biggy get ready for jaws to drop!

Linked to Stefano Sturaro from Juventus.

2.) 02 Jul 2018 22:18:40
What do you know Billy, don't tease. 🙏.

3.) 02 Jul 2018 23:47:56
James rodriguez I heard 👀👀.

4.) 03 Jul 2018 09:21:18
I have it on good authority that now they are out of the world cup, Messi and Ronaldo having a penalty shootout to decide which one joins us. Nuno will be in goal. Honest.

5.) 03 Jul 2018 09:21:57
Maybe the carpet fitter the plumber or the electrician out again.

6.) 03 Jul 2018 18:00:20
Wolves to sign a player, people will have heard of his name. When he signs I’ll say I told you so.

Yawn.

03 Jun 2018 20:42:48
so far no real surprises I am really happy with bolly and jiota not so sure about afobe think we could of got him for nothing if we waited (eddie howe can't stand him ) . but he is now a wolf again so will get my full support match days as for other rumours don't believe anything until it comes out of the mol mostly papertalk and clubs talking up prices still think we need 3 major signings and trust nuno and the board to find the right players onwards and upwards COYW!

Great rumour.

2.) 04 Jun 2018 10:32:01
Debbie you are being sarcky.

3.) 04 Jun 2018 11:40:17
1) why would Bournemouth sell at 12 million asset for free?
2) there was rumours that Howe was reluctant to let Afobe go because he rates him highly.

This rumours page is getting boring now.

4.) 04 Jun 2018 13:29:42
Soon have to create an extra page on here for “Slagging off Afobe” as it’s neither “Banter or “Rumour”. apart from Kane and Aguero who would people take from top Prem clubs? Lacazette? Martial? Welbeck? Moratta? Lukaku? . at least give the lad a chance to prove you all wrong!

5.) 04 Jun 2018 13:59:24
Overrated. Past it. Every one of them.
(not being serious)

Seriously, though, we're not yet in the league for big signings. Good mid-table clubs like Everton probably won't be signing any of those players because their wage demands are so high, even if the transfer fee is affordable. They signed Rooney but I bet many here would say he's past it too.

Leicester, probably a good comparator for us, frequently sign players we haven't heard of rather than big earners. So it will be scouting the Portuguese, Spanish and French leagues for up and coming players who can't break into the first team for us. I'd take more like Neves, Jota and Boly without hesitation.

6.) 04 Jun 2018 14:27:21
Good post Euroman. I think a bit of a reality check is needed by some. It's great being linked with big names but for the most part, to get any of them will take a massive leap of faith because we aren't an established Premier League side yet.

With regards Afobe, Nuno wouldn't have agreed to sign him if he didn't feel that he could improve him. Look at Coady and Doherty, they have come on massively under Nuno. During his loan spell, Afobe was building up his match fitness and adapting his game to a different style and a different role from what he used to play. With that under his belt and a pre-season, let's judge him on his future performances. Nuno obviously trusts him, so we should too.

And with regards to this rubbish about selling him immediately after signing him (the Stoke rumours), there are two things to consider; firstly, we do not need to penny pinch to get a small, quick profit anymore, so unless Nuno thinks he's got it wrong after a couple of days, then there is no sense in buying and immediately selling. Secondly, Afobe would have to agree to a transfer out, it's not just the hierarchy saying he'd have to go. If he turned round and said "No, I've just signed my contract and I want to fight for my place" he has every right. Given the fuss he made about coming back, even if these ridiculous rumours were true, I'd be amazed if he went.

Just consider if we did sell Afobe in those circumstances, who would want to come to Wolves if they were treated like that? No player would trust management and it would destroy everything that has been built over the last 12 months. We'd be no better than that idiot at Sporting (whom I am really angry at for slagging off our club as not being honest! )

Let's do things the right way - we are Wolves!

7.) 04 Jun 2018 22:19:15
I agree Euroman I’d love more players like neves jota and boly they r better players by far English players to expensive and over rated.

8.) 05 Jun 2018 07:22:25
I disagree on a few points. Football is all about team spirit or the wolf pack.
Players that shone last season that were British and wolves fans didn’t know what to expect and a slot cheaper than the european imports:
Coady (2m), Douglas (1m), ruddy (free), Bennett (free)
Not to mention the academy players that played a role such as batth, Doherty, bright (won us a couple of games against hull and Barnsley) and MGW.
But there is a new found trust in the football side of the club.

got tickets this morning easy to book online can't wait is it right to be so excited at the age of 57 / went to the old wembley in 1980 to see andy gray win us the league cup let's hope for the same result this time neves to score the winner for me!

1.) 25 Mar 2019 20:56:41
Is it right to be excited at 57? I've got a good few years on you billy and I'm like a kid waiting for Xmas. I'll be paying BT a few quid to watch on box though, but I too was there to see Emlyn lift the league cup and remember cloughie applauding us wolves fans, and there when we did city. Great days.

17 Mar 2019 18:48:28
fantastic fantastic fantastic nothing else I can say what a team what a coach what a crowd only just woke up and seen the draw gunna be another great afternoon keep up the good work!

1.) 17 Mar 2019 20:54:18
No where near straight forward avoiding man City, it's going to be a right old battle and we'll have to be really on form. It's going to be a dream let's hope it's not a nightmare, not being pessimistic but we have to be realistic and approach it the same as if it was city. I'm sure Nuno wI'll but we must too.

2.) 18 Mar 2019 15:54:06
Should be a good match vs Watford the teams fighting it out for 7th too the winner probably playing City in the final unless Brighton does the biz.

3.) 19 Mar 2019 10:29:08
Arguably Watford were the best and most organised team we have faced at The Mol this season
It’s going to be tough.

4.) 21 Mar 2019 12:39:55
They would have preferred Brighton too so tough for both teams it's a good match for neutrals 7th vs 8th nobody hates either team (apart from local rivals lol) like they do the top 6 teams.

10 Mar 2019 16:29:13
gotta be honest we done well to get a draw can't defend for 90 minutes and hope for the breaks a little more thought needed . that said what a season so far onwards and upwards COYW!

billy wrights slippers

1.) 11 Mar 2019 08:31:08
I was worried they were going to get another they really wanted 3 points to get top 4 and threw everything at us at the end

Who is most likely to have their job at the start of next season Sarri or Nuno? Exactly.

2.) 11 Mar 2019 17:53:49
With a few additions to the squad we’ll be winning at these places next season or as Pochetino would say “To infinity and beyond”.

26 Feb 2019 21:55:17
tired / jaded/ call it what you like we just cannot play against a team of big well organised blokes made us look league one well done to the terriers hope its a lesson learned in nuno we trust onwards and upwards COYW!

billy wrights slippers

1.) 26 Feb 2019 22:13:28
Lets take the positives. Possibly worst performance of the season, but it doesn't matter much does it? Nuno will be furious but it just focuses his mind with what we have to do in close season. Small squad, we were bound to tire a bit end of season. We will probably drop 2 or 3 places in league. Does anyone seriously think that's a bad season?

2.) 26 Feb 2019 22:27:10
Had a feeling this could happen, lacklustre and shoddy against bottom fighting teams. Expect the same against ccolin's lot. Nuno did seem angry in his interview afterwards I can imagine some heavy words being handed out. I really hope well get together sat but we'll be kicked to pieces. Nuno fire em up again.

3.) 26 Feb 2019 23:05:04
Sorry but Nuno has to take some blame too, why not get Traore on, why take of our two best performing players who looked a threat jota and Moutihno, why keep Neves on he was poor tonight.
I'm sure Nuno will learn from this though and will change things if need be on Saturday.

Positives Cav looked bright when he came on I thought, Patricios kicking a bit better than past matches and a decent ref at last too.
Nuno will give the underperformers a kick where the sun don't shine and fire them up for Saturday.

4.) 26 Feb 2019 23:22:36
Well not much to say about that performance no shots on target our midfield was shoddy the subs were ineffective we just didn't turn up you could just sense them scoring we didn't deserve anything from that so a big improvement for Saturday or we will loose that as well. rant over UTW.

18 Feb 2019 16:57:09
was it just me or did anyone else think we looked tired yesterday a great win against a very underestimated team but seemed to be at half pace please a home draw tonight couldn't of wished for a better season so far!

billy wrights slippers

1.) 18 Feb 2019 20:00:54
I thought we just looked content to sit on our lead, which is very unlike us under Nuno. Good home tie next please.

interesting to hear you say saiss ain't good enough / I agree but far and away above that you have to look at our captain . playing in the easiest position ever invented (sweeper) I could lay the blame to at least 9 goals this season squarely at his feet I think we have a waisted position there and would benefit from a bigger more experienced player yes of course we miss bolly but we are a squad and as such should be able to compete without the odd player missing onwards and upwards COYW.

frustrating evening all round for us fans we got there at 5.15 managed to park close to the ground and only 6 quid but then walked about 5 miles around the ground no pub for away fans had to get a taxi into town more expense but after a good lubrication got the taxi back to the ground . from the outside the etihad looked amazing but as soon as you got through the turnstiles it turns into a drab soulless place food was really poor and beer flat . as for the match we are going to have to learn to defend against good teams like this tore through us for the first goal (hint of off side? ) never seen boly make such a rash challenge and no need on the half way line / a dodgy penalty right in front of where I stood must of brushed a hair on bennets leg down like a wounded soldier / and then a cody? own goal hard to see from our view but not all doom and gloom the more I see dendoncker the more I like him givs us a bit more steel and with more games will be a real assett so onward and upwards boys COYW!
