I have it on good authority that there will be no more incoming players - PL's mission is to finish as high as possible in the league and from there he will be financially backed to build his own side to challenge for promotion next season.

Blackburn are demanding £2,000,000 for Marshall.

1.) 22 Jan 2017 21:20:19
dont see what the big deal with marshall is about can he play centre half? he is playing for blackburn who are well shoddy so why do we want there players!?

2.) 22 Jan 2017 21:37:51
I have heard that we have offered that amount already'and that Blackburn had turned it down?

3.) 22 Jan 2017 22:55:41
Isn't it obvious that we need a striker and not another winger! Actually we also need a central playmaker (Price is not that man) plus a strong central defender in other words we need to sort the spine of the team out. Unless we do that we cannot establish consistency and make long term progress.

4.) 23 Jan 2017 06:57:36
Could not agree more North Bank. it is not Rocket Science. a regular Goalscorer at CF, a dominant Central midfielder (despite the hype, don't see Price anywhere that sort of player Paul Ince, Alex Rae he is not) and a rock at CB (Williamson is the nearest we have, but not a long-term option) .

5.) 23 Jan 2017 11:17:16
The trouble is, if Paul ince or Alex rae were available today, they wouldn't come to wolves. There's one thing that attracts top players and its money. Our wage structure has been slashed since the prem years and I don't see the new owners or Lambert wanting to go back to that level of wages.

6.) 23 Jan 2017 12:00:54
well if that is the case we had better get used to being Championship survivors every year

15 Jan 2017 16:30:45
Wolves are in advanced talks with FC Utrecht striker Sebastien Haller - the deal is involves cash plus Paul Gladon who wants to return to his native Holland.

1.) 15 Jan 2017 16:59:30
Where did this information come from bb?

2.) 15 Jan 2017 17:04:29
Would cost 4 to 5 million.

3.) 15 Jan 2017 17:24:13
I mentioned Haller over the summer as he has a very good strike rate. There was a very tenuous link back then. Would be a very good signing. Look at his stats.

4.) 15 Jan 2017 17:54:39
Haller would surely cost more than that? He's an excellent player wanted by Swansea, etc. If it is true, would be an excellent addition.

5.) 15 Jan 2017 18:02:31
Haller valued in excess of £6m and has no Championship experience which PL said is essential so seems highly unlikely.

6.) 15 Jan 2017 18:03:56
I totally agree Wavid if its true

7.) 15 Jan 2017 18:18:24
signing both Gallagher AND Haller would give me an orgasm, lol. In this case, there may well be a great deal of truth in the Dicko to Fulham rumour and I also fully expect Bristol City to be bidding £5m for Mason again in the coming weeks.

8.) 15 Jan 2017 18:55:20
signing Marshall tells me two obvious things: 1. Iorfa will depart to West Ham, and 2. Coady may be going back up North to Newcastle. Both are valued at over £4m.

9.) 15 Jan 2017 22:44:46
Marshall wants to leave because he keeps getting played at RB. He is a winger so why would he want to play a position he hates at another club?

10.) 15 Jan 2017 23:43:06
We got no chance with haller

11.) 16 Jan 2017 09:35:09
You meant £4 for Coady surely Wavid. No way would Benitez be interested in him unless he has a brain transplant!

12.) 16 Jan 2017 15:34:42
sebastien haller goal machine! but would cost 10 mil, no chance in my view.

28 Dec 2016 13:09:04
Wolves and Darby are trying to sign Omar Bogle for £2,000,000.00.

1.) 28 Dec 2016 14:07:31
Who?

2.) 28 Dec 2016 14:48:30
Boyle doing well for Grimsby as a striker comes from sandwell.

3.) 28 Dec 2016 17:34:51
Keep guessing Bertie, you're bound to get it right one day.

26 Dec 2016 08:27:45
Firstly I hope you all had a merry Christmas.

What I'm hearing is Wolves have cast out a wide net in terms of players they want to buy, although they are going to have to offload players before buying but he players they are after are defenders Joel Ekstrand (signed for Bristol City on a one year deal in Sept) and a player who has had trials recently is Joey O'Brien. O'Brien was said to have impressed while training in Compton.

1.) 26 Dec 2016 12:58:27
Funny how we're always linked to players from the teams we are due to play that same week (Winnall and Ekstrand) . My guess is that after today we'll be linked with Karl Henry returning and a few QPR players coming in. Between the QPR game and Sheff Weds game, Fletcher will be linked with a return. Why don't people stop second guessing.

2.) 26 Dec 2016 20:01:16
well said Jas.

3.) 27 Dec 2016 08:34:01
Joey O'Brien isn't connected with anyone we've played recently - so hows that then?

4.) 27 Dec 2016 09:26:54
There is a reason Bertie, he's rubbish!

5.) 27 Dec 2016 09:34:52
Paul Lambert says that he's looking to sign 2/ 3 players and you personally in the last week have linked us to Winnall, Ekstrand, Bjelland, O'Brien and Kirchoff. 4 defenders and an ex striker. None of your predictions have come off, they are very vague.

6.) 27 Dec 2016 10:28:10
Marshall is a certainty the way PL spoke about him last week. Westwood is available because he can't even get into the Villa side. McCormack would only be a lone deal after John and Tex are sent back. Sam Winnall looks very likely, tho.

7.) 27 Dec 2016 11:44:05
Where has this link to Winnall come from. Have we not learnt from the Leon Clarke fiasco. He wasn't good enough the 1st time round. We're only linked because he used to play for us and us out of contract soon.

8.) 27 Dec 2016 20:10:15
The Agbonlahore link worries me more, although Westwood or McCormack are hardly an improvement on Price and Dicko, either. Just yet more numbers to inevitably shift on in six months.

Cardiff City release Kieran Richardson and Marouane Chamakh - Just an opinion but Richarddson may be worth a shout.

No they wouldn't.

Queens Park Rangers are considering replacing their manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink with the former Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood.

Former Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is in line to replace Sven-Goran Eriksson as manager of Chinese Super League team Shanghai SIPG.

I very much doubt these two were ever in the mix to be Wolves next manager.

It's Lambert for me - just an opinion.

1.) 04 Nov 2016 11:19:36
Wolves get the leftovers, sounds about right.

2.) 04 Nov 2016 11:40:37
Always was going to be Lambert! Him and Thellwell are members of the same swingers club.

27 Oct 2016 17:52:48
Ian Holloway is on the shortlist to take over as Manager.

bertiebasset

1.) 27 Oct 2016 18:07:17
Freedman, Holloway, Ince'is this the level of manager Fosun are seriously considering? It's a joke surely' they aren't that wet behind the ears! Are they?

2.) 27 Oct 2016 18:17:05
Who says their considering them
Just the papers not fosun
They will get it right.

3.) 27 Oct 2016 22:13:08
What's up with Holloway? Proven track record at championship level. with blackpool. palace and qpr? Find me someone who's available with a better track record. Also what a character he is. says it how it is. no beating around the bush or dressing it up. ide snap your hand off if we got offered him.

Gary Neville has been approached about becoming our next manager. Neville see's this as a perfect platform to resurrect his managerial career #ITK.

1.) 24 Jul 2016 07:48:49
If there is a God please don't let this happen, complete and utter muppet.

2.) 24 Jul 2016 08:09:09
We've got worse than a muppet in charge now!

3.) 24 Jul 2016 09:20:15
Cannot argue with that PT but Neville?! Rumour said he fell out with Mendes over the last job he had in Spain so I think that choice will not happen personally.

22 Jul 2016 15:17:30
I have it on good authority Thorsten Frink is being considered for our soon to be vacant managerial roll #ITK.

bertiebasset

1.) 22 Jul 2016 15:48:16
who?

2.) 22 Jul 2016 15:53:14
I think we'll be aiming a little higher than the kind of manager who gets sacked by the likes of APOEL.

3.) 22 Jul 2016 16:32:02
Look at finks record - never done f all. Foreign doesn't equal good?

It really is hard to tell how will be shown the door, as PL is giving chances to players who were deemed to be of no use.

I'm hoping our academy system will come to fruition - just look at Everton or Southampton, they're reaping the rewards now. I'm glad the younger players are getting a deserved chance. It also encourages younger players to sign for Wolves if they see others getting a chance. Just a thought UTW.

"QPR have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Everton’s Arouna Kone on loan, according to GetWestLondon.

The newspaper understands that Everton want QPR to pay a “sizeable amount” of the striker’s £40,000-a-week wages, which the London club are not prepared to do.

Kone has made just six appearances this season under Ronald Koeman.

Kone suffered a serious knee injury in his first months on Merseyside and has been a bit-part player since for the Toffees.

His best moment for Everton came when he scored a hat trick against Sunderland last season. "

We're two days into the transfer window and have recruited no one, seeing as Thelwell is the new Moxey, Thelwell out :)
