Talisca will be signing tomorrow or Tuesday, he wants to join the club and help us achieve promotion but believes he can squeeze a bit more out of them for his wages due to the size of the transfer fee. Also Andrea Butti once officially on board will get to work to try and bring in some big names. I'm new to posting but I have this info from a good source.

I haven't posted on here for a while now but with the jan window nearly here I'm looking forward to seeing if we can strengthen the team where needed to help us try and climb the table. A few of the players we've been linked with seem like good options, Ben Marshall for me would be a great buy, highly rated by many managers and I think Lambert would play him at rb which is a position we need some experience and quality in. Could also play on the wing if needed so would be versatile too. I hope Lambert has a centre half lined up but please not Lescott as I've heard it mentioned. I really don't think bringing players back is the best route. He's experienced but would he care enough to put the commitment and effort in I'm not so sure. Other past players I've seen us linked to are the likes of Afobe and Sako. I know a lot of people would like them back but I for one wouldn't. Afobe is no doubt a talent who can score for fun in this league and the lad could have been a legend down the wolves but he like so many "wanted prem football" and he's now happy to warm Bournemouths bench most weeks, most likely for a stupid amount of money too. Sako I feel slightly differently about because he was with us for 3 seasons and he stuck with us in league one but he too wanted prem football and didn't sign a new contact and what has he done at Palace? My point is let's stop looking in the past and let's look to the future! Anyway let's hope for another 3 points tomorrow, I'll be there, c'mon me babbies!

I think Hanley would be a good choice, a player that PL knows, but with Mbemba going to the African Cup of Nations, Newcastle may be reluctant to sell as it would leave them with little other cover for Lascelles and Clark.

Just been reading Thelwell's comments on the signing of this new lad from Benfica, stating that he feels it's a real "coup" that we've managed to sign him. I'm not saying the lad won't be a good player because he may well be, time will tell but those comments lead me to believe that our stance on the type of player we want to bring in to the club haven't changed, obviously they still want young players that they can develop, I'm all for that but if that's the case don't expect instant success and all these big name players were being linked to aren't going to happen, i.e Talisca, Markovic, Nugent etc etc.

You know here's the thing, I love being a Wolves fan and I am as excited as anyone about what is happening but I'm trying to keep my feet on the ground and not get carried away, years of constant disappointment will do that to you. I'm not saying these lads that we've signed aren't any good or that the club isn't now in a better position than if Morgan was still at the helm, I'm just trying to be realistic about what's happening, I've read people on here saying we're going to win the league and that in a couple of years time we're going to be top 6 in the premier league. With the players were signing at the moment and with how far behind we are with out preparations for this season it may take longer than peppa think for the success to come.
