Dwight Gayle is joining Fulham. Wolves working on Rhodes deal.

WolvesMan99

{Ed047's Note - Rhodes did wonders in this division when with Blackburn, would be a good signing}.

1.) 29 Aug 2017 21:54:06
Sky reporting no deal made for gayle.

2.) 29 Aug 2017 21:54:07
Nope not Fulham, rubbished by SSN. Try again ;)

28 Aug 2017 18:47:35
Dicko to hull £4mil.

WolvesMan99

1.) 28 Aug 2017 19:14:54
If dicko goes to hull for 4mill that's a good price.

1.) 25 Aug 2017 12:23:27
Who? When? Link?

2.) 25 Aug 2017 12:35:48
Where will this leave Thelwell?

3.) 25 Aug 2017 12:41:43
Stu- The highly rated Daniel Majstorovic is lined up for the job. Currently at AEK Athens. Roma also wanted to appoint him. Story is in todays papers. Easy to find if you google it.

4.) 25 Aug 2017 12:43:58
Seen this story through Daily Mirror and says 40 Year old ex Celtic player currently working for AEK Athens.

5.) 25 Aug 2017 12:57:52
He is very linked to Mendes. They keep saying that like it's a bad thing, have they not seen our amazing squad after years of just surviving on academy players.

6.) 25 Aug 2017 13:00:22
Thelwell should b out in the cold.

7.) 25 Aug 2017 13:08:25
Nothing in this story at all.

8.) 25 Aug 2017 13:53:29
True lads mendes meet him for talks.

9.) 25 Aug 2017 14:19:26
Dave Edwards to Reading for a €1m? SSN i'd take that.

10.) 25 Aug 2017 17:15:38

Diego Costa has told Mendes to find him a club until At Madrid can sign him in January. Do your magic Jorge! Lmao!

1.) 01 Aug 2017 09:38:11
Watch the ss working with wolves tease I carnt tell you how excited I am for this season UTW FAITH IN NUNO.

2.) 01 Aug 2017 12:17:28
All the top teams are looking for a Steve Bull
Or John Richards
Stay calm

I heard Joe Mason going to Leeds - he allegedly failed a
Medical there in January this year.
With Dicko and Big Dadi and Niall Ennis gone also
Only New signing Leo is available for Saturday!

Not good
Maybe have young Samuels on the bench?

3.) 01 Aug 2017 12:33:20
When did Dicko go?

4.) 01 Aug 2017 12:48:00
I don't know a thing about Bona, what I do know is we need quality tried and tested at the front end or players from other locations in EUROPEAN Top leagues that are recognised as such! Bona has been playing in Saudi? I realise he played for Estoril as well but more latterly in Saudi! Who are they? Not the same sort of competitive league as the championship or prem! Not being negative on this one, just realistic! We all know quality at the front is definitely needed for us to win lots of games! I'm impressed with what's been brought in this far, but not convinced Bona going to cut it at the sharp end for us! Let's hope I'm wrong, I want to be that's for sure. NES has brought in some really good players for us. Let's hope we don't fall down because we didn't do the business at the front. That would be criminal. !

What Bless You has done so far at the club is exactly what was need that's for sure. ⚽️👍😉.

5.) 01 Aug 2017 12:52:21
Dicko is going nowhere.

6.) 01 Aug 2017 13:25:15
Wolves are waiting until Premier League squads are near enough confirmed before moving for another striker. Afobe, Gallagher and Gray still on the shortlist. Waiting for other teams to finish their transfer business and plans for the season ahead. Be patient another striker in the last minute before the transfer deadline. Bonatini and Dicko to fight for the starting lineup. Still no idea on Nouhas injury though.

7.) 01 Aug 2017 13:49:18
Waiting is dangerous though. If West Ham take Gray, Burnley will probably take Afobe, there's more on the merry go round now before the Prem clubs take what they want. I think like Middlesbrough snapped up that's Notts Forest striker early, we'd be better paying more now than trying to save a few million by waiting and maybe missing out.

It could well be we miss out on promotion by 2 points, and we dropped those points drawing to Middlesbrough instead of beating them in this first game, because we didn't have an up to speed striker. The riches of the Prem are worth far more than saving a few million now, every one of those Championship points are priceless.

8.) 01 Aug 2017 14:10:10
Sky sports doing a vote on how the championship will end got us in 9th, that does seem harsh we have done a lot better business this year then most and will be hard to break down at the back if things gel.
Were do you see us ending I'm thinking 5th.

{Ed047's Note - My Prediction would be the following:

1) Villa
2) Boro
3) Wolves
4) Fulham
5) Sheff Wed
6) B-Ham.

Thats based on the managers, summer spending and existing squad.
Im stil backing Wolves to go up but through the play offs.}

9.) 01 Aug 2017 14:25:54
Thanks Ed, saw it was a red reply and thought was in trouble :)

{Ed047's Note - Your very welcome buddy.}

10.) 01 Aug 2017 14:37:35
Ulf. The other side of the debate would go -
You buy early (like Boro), spend a loads of money, and then a prime PL player ( or two) comes available and you have no money to play with - to buy or loan.
The debate can go either way and we would all have our different ways of dealing with it.
I'm not sure when Abraham was snapped up by Bristol last year but that's the type if deal / player the 'wait for the Premises clubs' can throw up.
Less than 100 hours to kick off!

11.) 01 Aug 2017 15:04:34
We need another striker now we shouldn't wait it could cost us vital points.

12.) 01 Aug 2017 15:24:57
Re exeterwolf, I can't deal with the stress of waiting though. And I kind of think we've done such good business with the rest of the team, we don't need the best possible player to make it happen for us, we just need someone whose quality to link up and score from the chances we'll create, like Afobe.

With a quality striker I think we may top the league or come second. I don't think it will be as straight forward for Middlesbrough as we think, I suspect Villa might flop about a bit. They're both under a lot of pressure with a lot of expectations. I think we're more light foot, if we can get off to a good start it will just roll into a party a bit like Leicester did in the Prem.

13.) 01 Aug 2017 15:39:25
It all depends on dicko and nunos confidence in bright.
Wolves could have scored 4 against Leicester. They have brought a striker that scores with a good pedigree. There will be movement but it will be calculated around financial stability. Getting fines by the league would a pain.
Don't get me wrong I still expect two especially if mason goes and dicko/ bright on loan. Also expect movement in other areas as well e. g. Bath, Doherty, Burgoyne etc.

14.) 01 Aug 2017 15:47:01
Interesting, Ed047.

There's always a surprise in the top 6 or even the top 2. Huddersfield last season.

Reading is my dark horse this season. After all they have spent £3m on a striker!

Villa and Boro seem to be top of a lot of lists for obvious reasons. But what of Wolves? Well this time last season we were excited about the new signings. But then WZ stuck with the old Jackett lineup. Mostly. How do we know it won't be another false dawn?

We know teams with big players are going to try and take out our more nimble players who may not be ready for all the skipping and dodging needed to stay in one piece. Neves is bound to be a target. So a lot depends on who we can field each week.

I'm hopeful for top 6. But if it's not happening after 10 games, it's not happening.

{Ed047's Note - Im going to see what odds i can get for my top 6 predictions. You are right there is always a surprise in the top 6 thats why im going for B-Ham. Play offs has to be the minimum aim for Wolves they have got Neves & Jota who could easily play in the Epl with a good and stable team but choose the Wolves project, as you said lets see where wolves are sitting after lets say 12 - 15 games, hopefully clear at the top lol.}

15.) 01 Aug 2017 16:08:15
I think the top 12 will be
1. Middlesbrough
2. Sunderland
3. Wolves
4. Aston Villa
5. Reading
6. Leeds
7. Hull
8. Sheffield Wednesday
9. Derby
10. Fulham
11. Norwich
12. Brentford
We beat Villa 3-2 in the playoff final.

16.) 01 Aug 2017 16:48:55
Doberman showing off here:)

{Ed047's Note - Sunderland for 2nd, I really would not be surprised if they did a Wigan and fell down the leagues they are truly woeful.}

17.) 01 Aug 2017 17:00:15
Sunderland 2nd? Give your head a wobble lad.

{Ed047's Note - I fancy them for relegation, can see them being another Wigan.}

18.) 01 Aug 2017 17:05:42
I think u are being genrouus because your a wolves fan. no striker of worth and the team will win dick.

{Ed047's Note - Is this for me to reply buddy?}

19.) 01 Aug 2017 17:16:59
Top 6 will be in any order. Emphasis on ANY order.
1. Middlesborough
2. Villa
3. Sheffield Wednesday
4. Wolves
5. Fulham
6. Hull
Wednesday should walk it with the squad they have. I would argue they have strikers and experience in abundance.
Sunderland and Leeds could be in and around the mix.
Can Britt stay fit. Can villa defend and win a midfield battle.
Hull will be strong. Fulham dependant on departures.
It's a crazy league! 🙃🙃🙃.

20.) 01 Aug 2017 17:28:28
demon, the transfer window ain't done yet. We will sign a stop striker. We'll either announce it on the Wolves documentary or after the Middlesbrough game. And if we're really struggling we could play Jota upfront with Costa and Cav behind him.

21.) 01 Aug 2017 17:31:53
You having a laugh Anewdawn 😂😂😂 Hull look strong they've sold all there best players Jukopovic, Robertson, Maguire, Tymon, Huddleston, Elmohamedy. They a hop.

{Ed047's Note - Hull for me will be top 10 as you've pointed out they've sold the best players.}

22.) 01 Aug 2017 17:32:45
My prediction is 1 Middlesbrough 2 villa 3 wolves 4 derby 5 Brentford 6 Sheffield weds.

{Ed047's Note - Derby usually start or finish well, i see them as top 10 nothing more, Brentford id be surprised if they got top 10 yet alone play offs.}

23.) 01 Aug 2017 17:38:25
Have you seen the players they still have WolvesMan99 Lens, Mcgeady, Khazari, Ndong, Steele they are OP. And Sunderland on did bad because they were under diabolical management. But there new coach Grayson could do well.

24.) 01 Aug 2017 18:15:38
My championship finishing line is:
1. Wolves
2. Boro
3. Villa (playoff winner)
4. Sheff Wed
5. Reading
6. Leeds

I tip Sunderland. Hull and QPR to be fighting relegation. My top ten will include Fulham and Derby who have gone backwards with players in and out, and maybe Birmingham. I can't really see a surprise playoff winner like Huddersfield last season as the main candidates are all so strong.

25.) 01 Aug 2017 18:15:51
The team that I think will surprise everybody is Bristol city they will around the play offs.

26.) 01 aug 2017 18:45:11
1. wwfc

2. derby
3. middlesbro
4. fulham
5. villa
6. birmingham.

27.) 01 Aug 2017 18:47:36
I think we're going to be the surprise package this year :-)

28.) 01 Aug 2017 19:01:40
1 WOLVES
2 Middlesbrough
3 A Villa
4 Norwich
5 Hull
6 Derby

Relegated - Bolton, Burton and Sunderland (that club has serious problems)

29.) 01 Aug 2017 22:27:39
I think Essex is right Bristol City do better each year and they look like Bournemouth Burnley and Brighton the way they improve and even begin with B lol.

30.) 01 Aug 2017 23:56:30
Guys your forgetting there's another window after this.

2.) 25 Jul 2017 16:00:00
Has anyone totted up how much Fosun has spent this window? I lost track a fortnight ago! Making me dizzy just thinking about how much things are changing this season. Just hope Nuno gets them all clicking by the M'boro match. Exciting times to be a Wolves supporter.

My only concern would be if we've already signed the best of unwanted bunch from Benfica and Monaco then if we go back in I can't see them players being better? Only Costa and Cav any good likes of John Silvio either not good or not played?
