Its taken a while, but good things come to those who wait

Hold onto your clappers I can confirm were almost there to securing Anderson Talisca.

Shepherd

1.) 11 Aug 2016 21:17:12
No sure if we want him now.

2.) 11 Aug 2016 21:22:53
Yes we do, what's the latest Shepherd?

3.) 11 Aug 2016 22:01:29
His contract will be up by the time we sign him.

4.) 11 Aug 2016 22:02:43
Got to get Talisca - a friend of mine who worked at Benfica as an analyst recons he is outstanding.

5.) 11 Aug 2016 22:22:00
If talisca quality then we need him we haven't had that type player for yrs.

6.) 11 Aug 2016 22:56:31
His Work Permit has finally been approved, just waiting on his Visa so that he can travel over for his medical and sign the deal which as been agreed.

7.) 12 Aug 2016 00:38:08
Hes still at home. he did a life facebook tonite on wolvesfanzone.

8.) 12 Aug 2016 00:59:22
Everyone else has said we're close bla bla bla bla.

9.) 12 Aug 2016 01:05:43
Shepherd the news about visas and work permits etc aren't what the hold ups been about at all. In fact as far as I'm aware his had both for about a week and has actually had a medical already. The hold up has been the birth of his child. That is all I have never claimed to be in the know or have sources. I do have some good connections within the club but during the take over etc no one was leaking information so everyone stating they were itk and had sources were quite laughable. I am confident however that the transfer is done and dusted from a piece of information I have got hold of. I'm presuming from what I have that part of talsicas contract the club promised him a house as the information I've managed to get hold of is today paperwork was submitted for a property with the title deed owner being club based and lease holders name being Anderson souza conceicao. No signature yet tied to the deed tho.

10.) 12 Aug 2016 06:58:36
God - So pleased I'm not holding my breath on this one. Yawwwwwn.

10 Aug 2016 09:53:32
We are closing in on a deal with Luis Alberto.

Shepherd

1.) 10 Aug 2016 10:12:02
Hope so.

2.) 10 Aug 2016 10:13:26
Bring him in to the 'Wolf Pack'

3 defenders too pls.

3.) 10 Aug 2016 10:16:08
Wolves 2/ 1 favourites to sign Alberto and 6/ 4 favourites to sign Nugent. That's 13/ 2 the double. Anybody having a flutter?

4.) 10 Aug 2016 10:49:46
No chance.

5.) 10 Aug 2016 11:18:05
Why not we have every chance we have the backing now.

6.) 10 Aug 2016 12:44:49
Here's the thing. In theory, we could sign and afford to pay the wages of most, if not all, of the players in the Premier League.

So, currently every player linked to us is potentially a new recruit, it's just some are more believable than others and only a few will be convinced to join us while we sit outside of the top division.

The obstacle we can't remove is that of status. For every signing we are capable of funding, we need the player to accept that they may be playing Championship football for between 1 and 2 seasons. We require humility from ourselves, to accept our current circumstances, but more importantly, require it from the players we are pursuing - it's the absence of this characteristic in the modern footballer that seriously undermines the pool that we actually have access to at this point in our development.

This leaves us shopping in different markets; divided into loans and short term deals, for those who wish to hedge their bets or use us as a stepping stone to (currently) more prestigious clubs; Aging players looking for one last challenge (or pay day) and those players who are not immediately recognised as top talent, but worth a punt.

Imagine a successful promotion campaign and your problem morphs again, this time it's not status that will discourage potential signings but the ability to stay in the Premier League. Then it's the intangibles, the draw of London over the regions, Champions League football etc. etc.

Sometimes, despite the money available you just can't spend it, and in the mean time, every WUM, mischeif maker and daydreamer will continue to link us to anyone and everyone.

Oh and one more thing, every rumour could do with a link to the source. "we've been linked to. " or "I've just heard. " just don't cut it any more.

7.) 10 Aug 2016 13:49:35
Dans la Lune.
Good post. As you imply, the fact that we have new owners willing to spend does not mean we can or will sign every player we take a fancy to. It's not as easy as all that, as you've explained admirably.

I agree that every rumour should link to a source as many rumours on here are made up. Even sources can be faked, like setting up fake Twitter account as source.

8.) 10 Aug 2016 14:10:43
post of the year for me well said dans.

01 Aug 2016 20:36:33
Were in talks with Peter Crouch and Jack Rodwell.

Shepherd

1.) 01 Aug 2016 20:39:35
I hope so.

2.) 01 Aug 2016 20:42:33
Wouldnt have crouch now abit old but would have rodwell not a bad ball player plus likes a tackle and he's english.

3.) 01 Aug 2016 20:43:05
Crouch perfect.

4.) 01 Aug 2016 20:46:50
Hope your right Shepherd? It does add up if Felix is correct about Sunderland and Stoke players. 👍.

5.) 01 Aug 2016 20:52:20
Goes with what Felix said.

6.) 01 Aug 2016 21:03:35
Yes to both for me. Yes Crouch is past his best but still do a good job in championship and an excellent foil for Ennis/ Dicko. Not long ago Rodwell was knocking on England door. lost his way a bit, but be quality in this division.

7.) 01 Aug 2016 21:08:19
Rodwell who's just been in the paper saying he's so happy Moyes is his manager again? Doesn't add up that one.

8.) 01 Aug 2016 21:22:17
Rodwell is a crock.

9.) 01 Aug 2016 21:59:13
Load of bull. Even if remotely true. I wouldn't want either to be honest. Definitely not crouch!

10.) 01 Aug 2016 21:59:22
Crouch would be just what we need to go with Dicko and fingers crossed Talisca and Ennis
Even at this stage of his career he'd do a great job and would give us a different option (s) tactically.

11.) 02 Aug 2016 08:57:23
Why knock Crouch? He has played at the top level for 10-15 years. Yes, getting on a bit, but we need to get promoted and he could do a good job now, not "one for the future".

I know less about Rodwell. Didn't he have some games for England a while back? Again, experienced at Premier level.

01 Aug 2016 08:31:34
The Anderson Talisca deal ie. Contract terms are being negotiated as we speak, MASSIVE if it gets sorted.

Shepherd

1.) 01 Aug 2016 10:05:20
Press confrence today 2pm from Molineux should get our hearts racing.
Good luck all you fantastic Wolves fans on here, this is OUR time. 👍😎👍😎👍😎👍.

2.) 01 Aug 2016 10:16:48
Press conference is just to introduce Walter isn't it stuwolf. This week I envisage being an exciting one anyways in the run up to kicking off the season. Regardless of signings and who we put out against Rotherham on Saturday I'll be there supporting whoever dons the old gold jersey. COYW.

3.) 01 Aug 2016 10:23:56
Shepherd, how do you know this?

4.) 01 Aug 2016 10:35:38
Agree StuWolf I am hoping that this might show the way forward. I'm hoping that they advise that they are looking at quality new players but we are also going to give a chance to the quality we already have, that's the soul of our club. I really hope there is a role for Rob Edwards in all this.

5.) 01 Aug 2016 10:37:18
on Bloomberg this morning that Fosun Group are trying to shed 8 Billion Dollars worth of assets to improve their credit rating, make of that what you will, could be nothing to be concerned about, but 8 billion dollars is a hell of lot of money.

6.) 01 Aug 2016 10:54:28
Spanish Ian it's probably because they spent that amount on Friday in India and Brazil! Making way for fresh investment somewhere else they have pledged to invest $30 billion over the next 3 years I think in overseas activities so this I would think is a clear out of dead wood.

7.) 01 Aug 2016 10:54:28
Not sure about Zenga, or what's going on, I don't know anyone at the club and been going since the 70's, but at least something is going on. Just want us back were we belong and must admit, there is a buzz in the air which is about time.
Kenny Jackett you did us proud, would have liked to see what you could have done with a couple of bob.
But the only time you play one up front is if you are playing manure, 1-0 up 5 minutes to go or Steve Bull is playing lol.

8.) 01 Aug 2016 11:14:01
Spanish this is quite old news as Fosun withdrew from an Israeli insurance company acquisition earlier this year because of credit issues. We need to be aware that Fosun's major acquisitions are made via loans and not their own cash. Maybe reign in expectations therefore.

9.) 01 Aug 2016 11:26:53
Sbrek,
That's what tne E&S say, but why hold a press conference to tell the fans what we found out on Saturday morning. I think we shall hear about his master plan and the link of Mr Butti in the grand scheme of things.

A couple of days ago it was reported that Jeff Shi wanted a big release of who he's bought and the way forward and today would be ideal.
My thoughts only, no info to support but it seems a logical step to me.

10.) 01 Aug 2016 11:29:37
You also play 1 up front if you've already crap midfield or dodgy defence! Needs must sometimes.

11.) 01 Aug 2016 12:22:32
have pledged to invest $30 billion over the next 3 years". You could get some players with that eh! ;)

12.) 01 Aug 2016 12:34:14
Talisca is aload of bull, just been snapped in Brazil playing golf.

13.) 01 Aug 2016 13:15:34
Grouchy not in the Wolves unfortunately but in their main areas of business.

14.) 01 Aug 2016 13:30:35
Dan that's the other one! The one we are signing is a Benfica player not Porto.

27 Jul 2016 15:15:42
Hearing news that we may be starting talks with Mendes to bring in Fabio Coentrao from Real Madrid whos currently on loan at Monaco.

Shepherd

1.) 27 Jul 2016 15:35:21
That's a new one where did you hear this?

2.) 27 Jul 2016 15:37:55
Hearing news . were.

3.) 27 Jul 2016 15:40:14
Ive heard this as well, I've put something on Twitter about it and a Monaco page as liked it, crazy if this happens!

4.) 27 Jul 2016 15:41:47
Until we get any signings, aren't we just getting a bit too ahead of ourselves here?

5.) 27 Jul 2016 15:53:20
Living the dream coolerboy.

6.) 27 Jul 2016 15:55:07
I saw this, too. Available for £25 million.

7.) 27 Jul 2016 15:55:41
I heard it from a bloke who works for Oxford who are looking to loan one of our players and the topic of the takeover came up and it was mentioned then as this is the signing Jeff Shi wants to be the 'gobsmacking' signing which he said he wanted to surprise us with, unreal if it happens.

8.) 27 Jul 2016 16:04:48
Getting ahead of ourselves, where you been the last few weeks? Of course we are. Got to have dreams before KJ ruins them.

9.) 27 Jul 2016 16:28:50
Its way better than being linked with lower division players that we normally get.

10.) 27 Jul 2016 16:35:08
If we sign Tulisca, Cavaleiro, Silva, Contrao, Salvio etc etc etc, I think it's fair to say the 20-30 million 2 year budget was a load of rubbish.

11.) 27 Jul 2016 16:35:43
That would be ace but £25mil on a left back in the championship? I'm not sure it makes great sense, I know he can play left wing but wouldn't we want a specialist winger? Maybe he would be great as a wing back. My imaginary agent friend (according to Spanish Wolf) hasn't heard any genuine links to him.

12.) 27 Jul 2016 16:40:30
That would be a stunning signing and a true statement of intent.

13.) 27 Jul 2016 16:52:04
Best news yet the fat controller confirmed going to Norwich I'le drive you their you fat git.

14.) 27 Jul 2016 16:57:51
Would we sign him permanent though, or loan him?

15.) 27 Jul 2016 17:02:40
David clarke looked for u on twitter and there are loads of david clarkes which 1s u mate i'm new to twitter.

16.) 27 Jul 2016 17:08:06
Admit age are you taking credit for all this then? These names have done the rumour circuit now for three weeks. I posted some time ago regarding the guy from R Madrid. Not through my imaginary friend it was just by researching alternative sports papers here in Spain and Portugal.

17.) 27 Jul 2016 17:23:38
Perhaps not the most exotic name but the player I would like Wolves to sign would be Chris Martin of Derby. A proven Championship goalscorer, he has destroyed us in the last few games against them. I doubt Derby would sell to us though.

18.) 27 Jul 2016 18:17:18
Spanish Wolf; I have a friend who is an agent, he is not linked to Wolves but has a good relationship with Kevin Thelwell. He works mainly with American and Scandinavian clubs and players. He let's me know stuff to do with Wolves if it's got any legs. He has not heard one bit of genuine news regarding Fabio Coentrao. If you're right you are in the wrong job. I'm just letting people know what I've heard, I hope I'm wrong though. Time will tell.

19.) 27 Jul 2016 19:04:10
Admit age I hope we are both correct as you say Time will tell!

20.) 27 Jul 2016 20:12:18
Don't think coentrao would cost £25m folks so don't worry too much about that, I imagine he wouldn't cost any more than about £15m. Very talented left back but as you can tell, by him being sent out on loan to Monaco, he's not in favour at Real and therefore I imagine hey wouldn't be too bothered about offloading him.

21.) 27 Jul 2016 23:54:12
Chris Martin would be a good signing, he could also provide live music at half-time.

Juventus have give the go ahead for talks to start with Patrice Evra.

Lolololololololololololololokok.

3.) 17 Aug 2016 10:12:07
He probably has a split personality, David being his alter ego.

4.) 17 Aug 2016 11:12:39
It must be the air in the West Midlands all these split personality disorders lol.

5.) 17 Aug 2016 11:29:11
I'm in two minds about that!

6.) 17 Aug 2016 15:10:54
Haha fairplay edd.

I can confirm the Anderson Talisca deal as fallen through and will not be pursued any longer.

HUGE day today at Wolves.

Shepherd

1.) 04 Aug 2016 10:35:50
Who's comin shepherd.

2.) 04 Aug 2016 10:43:01
What's happening? New players.

03 Aug 2016 20:49:49
Anderson Talisca doesn't mind coming to play in the Championship, in fact he's excited by the project, only thing holding it up is contract agreement, we offered 25k a week and he would like 40k a week, so don't think he doesn't want to play for the club.

Shepherd

1.) 03 Aug 2016 21:09:16
According to his Twitter acc he had agreed £40000 a week, we see.

2.) 03 Aug 2016 21:12:23
Why dow we offer him say 30-33k somewhere around there then have a clause in his contract to say if we get promoted he will get pay rise of 43k or summat like that to show him we mean business.

03 Aug 2016 19:37:35
Advanced stages now to signing 2 players.

Shepherd

1.) 03 Aug 2016 20:12:13

2.) 03 Aug 2016 20:16:32
Any clues shepherd.

3.) 03 Aug 2016 20:26:35
Still waiting for the Sunderland and Stoke players Felix promised?

4.) 03 Aug 2016 20:28:31
All I can say is 1 is an attacking midfielder. 1 is a striker from the Premier League.

5.) 03 Aug 2016 21:18:46
Different to talisca shepherd, Alberto from Liverpool heavily linked, also is the striker from prem expensive or loan?

6.) 03 Aug 2016 21:22:51
Be patient Paul Tamworth ;)

7.) 03 Aug 2016 21:51:56
Tryin Felix but getting closer to Rotherham and excitement building 👍👍👍.

Wyatt09 i'll think you'll find I didn't at all, I said the deal had been done, EFL had approved and accounts, licences etc were being swapped over today so business in the transfer market could begin immediately, people have got to start reading things properly and not just see a word and make up the rest.

Their were little snags today, from Morgan's end an increase in price due to drop in pound and from Moxey's end his position at the club, talks of a transitional period, discussing length, pay and shadowing a new CEO, on target for announcement on 7th with perhaps a deal confirmed late on the 6th.

Its the banter page, light hearted twist of the news, plus a few in the club have been saying with the social media age this sort of stuff gets out this is what I've told them, I didn't say I've been trying to tell them we need to tell the fans in these formats, that's just something I believe in, give a little something back.
