It was a frustrating game today, but Barnsley defend well,
We are going to have to get used to teams playing with ten defenders, we still look a class above everyone else,
Bolt was magnificent
And saise was excellent
Keep the faith.

1.) 14 Jan 2018 09:41:09
There must have been some pace in the team if we had Bolt!

2.) 14 Jan 2018 15:41:57
Pretty sure Bolt saise he wants to go to Man U!

Div 1 here we come, can't see where the next points coming from.

1.) 14 Feb 2017 22:55:58
Calm down mate, were not going to be going down. We will stay in mid table where we belong at the mo and hope that next season we can turn things around.

2.) 14 Feb 2017 23:23:52
Well said Wolves011. We ain't going down, we ain't going up. Lambert needs to overhaul the squad in the summer and bring in players who HE, not us, thinks can improve us.

3.) 15 Feb 2017 07:23:59
Only 6 points off relegation. 15 games to go. No striker has scored since August. I wish I was as confident as you.

4.) 15 Feb 2017 08:12:15
I'm. Confident we will stop up to
Stop being doom merchants.

5.) 15 Feb 2017 08:17:33
Having your two main strikers only scoring two goals all season, has got to be some kind of shite record.

6.) 15 Feb 2017 09:30:13
Wolves record home FA Cup defeat v. Derby 3-6 in 1933. Record FA Cup defeat v. Rotherham 0-6 in 1985. Record defeat v. Newton Heath (Man. Utd. ) 1-10 in 1892. Will they create a new record v. Chelsea on Saturday?

7.) 15 Feb 2017 10:19:04
We are by no means a great team at the moment, but we are better than quite a few teams in this league and we should finish just below mid table. We have enough experience in this league for that.

8.) 15 Feb 2017 09:59:16
Look at the core of the team - Stearman, Batth, Price, Saville, Evans, Coady, Edwards. 18th is exactly the correct position for a club with those players in it, isn't it? The saying 'you reap what you sow' definitely comes to mind when you think about the crazy decision to sign all of those up to long term contracts.

We go from one extreme, to another.

9.) 15 Feb 2017 13:02:39
Absolutely agree wavidsmith! All players mentioned are Div 1 standard
so why are we surprised we are 18th?
To retain these players is poor decision-making, no one wants them, so if we are down next year, fine, sign them for the season, it will be their right level.
We spend £20+ million on 2 wingers, exciting! and then retain these donkeys. what is going on?!

10.) 15 Feb 2017 14:51:23
Well at last, we Wolves fans all agree on one thing, and that is, why have we given these players long term contracts, when they are not good enough, although they play to the best of there ability, I'm afraid they are average middle to bottom championship players or Division 1 end of.
I would like to now who is responsible for giving these players long term contracts, and who sighned that Paul Gladon, whoever is responsible I would have them sacked, disgraceful performance last night no entertainment whatsoever, except the kid conor Ronan he was very good.
LAMBERT NO MORE EXCUSES, YOU THINK THESE PLAYERS ARE GREAT, YOU SAID YOU DIDN'T NEED STRIKER, SO ON YOUR HEAD BE IT.

11.) 15 Feb 2017 19:13:39
All the posts above are very valid,
But I do think Lambert is the right man for the job. I just think the job is a lot bigger than he thought,
We all want wolves players to do well, but to be honest everyone of them could be replaced at the moment it's just not happening.

12.) 15 Feb 2017 22:15:13
I honestly think PL's job is on the line and, sadistically, I want it to be as Gary Rowett is somehow still available. Let's all hope he doesn't take the Forest job in the meantime because we need someone like that so desperately.

13.) 16 Feb 2017 20:45:20
I like to see our kids come through and also think we have some good kids.
But what worried me was playing so many in a 6 pointer, when a more experienced side would of been bette, Evans and Edwards in midfield done nothing, said all along if you play Edwards because of is goalscoring exploits, then play him upfield or just behind striker, nobody else scoring up there, but
if these pair are our future midfield, then we can forget about promotion, they are just average championship players and realy thought we would be looking for a better class of players next season for the midfield positions, hope I am proved wrong but dissopointing in there long term contracts.
Defence same again makeing same mistakes, Marshall didn't look fit, and not a shot at goal against another poor side.

I still think coady could be useful as a holding midfielder, take the pressure off neves a bit,
Just one more observation
Everton seem to have been linked to virtually all our 1st team squad at some point

Warnockd interview was ok till the last bit

Come on Coln admit you were beaten fair and square.

1.) 07 Apr 2018 08:29:23
Pitch side emotions were running high and both managers can be forgiven. His presser comments were way out of line and he should subsequently retract those comments and apologise.

{Ed001's Note - how can you suggest Warnock could be forgiven? I would understand if this was a one off, but this is a regular occurrence with him. Which is why I think I was overly kind on him in my review of the day piece, as I had to avoid some of the stories about him. The man is a nasty little bully who is forever getting caught up in vicious incidents from situations he himself creates.}

2.) 07 Apr 2018 09:39:13
Think Warnock’s just a bit jealous, when he looks at the Wolves bench and sees how many people are celebrating with NUNO, while he only seems to have one “friend” (Kevin Blackwell)

3.) 07 Apr 2018 14:03:21
I don't disagree with you Ed. All I'm saying is those final 3 minutes were crazy and emotions running high. Afterwards he should have shown dignity and apologised for his language and ignorance. The guy is his own worst enemy.

4.) 07 Apr 2018 14:26:36
He just saw his player miss a penalty too. Poor guy would have had a roasting in the changing room.

Does anyone know how Jota is getting on, and when he might be back?

Pedrowolf

1.) 21 Mar 2018 18:01:47
It was mentioned at the fans parliament Pedrowolf. Word was he’d be out 4-6 weeks.
The minutes of the fans parliament was on the official wolves site.

2.) 21 Mar 2018 20:39:33
Yeah 4 to 6 weeks. Not see him this season I reckon.

3.) 21 Mar 2018 20:53:51
WM say he's out for the season?

4.) 21 Mar 2018 21:39:33
Good job we got Afobe in!

5.) 23 Mar 2018 12:37:46
Yes Wombourn otherwise we are down to 3 first team forwards and one of them could also be injured

We have done well with fitness this season Costa and Jota the only players we really missed and we have plenty of backup.

Just like to point out, even amongst all the panic and negative comments after the villa game, Jeff Shi is an absolute class act,
He has a calm cool response, which is just Wats needed,
I reckon we will bounce back and prove the doubters wrong

Yes I tip my hat to Jeff, he knows fans are upset and offers some calm reassurance. Some good news on a bad day. That why wolves are so special!

I'm hopeful this will turn out alright, O'Neil has a much better squad than he had at bournmouth, and by all accounts he's very likeable. So maybe he can suprise everyone

Looking at the stats this season were top of penalties conceded and bottom of penalties awarded
It's not helping us.

I know there has been a lot of doom and gloom recently, but looking at our first 16 or 17 I'm pretty impressed
