Just a thought, but didn't Athletico Madrid in the last two seasons sign a player only to loan him out to us without ever playing a game. So when are we announcing Felix as this year's addition ;) In all seriousness, not worried regarding lack of activity at the moment. Surely it has something to do with the amount of international comps that have been going on with Euro U21's, Gold Cup, African Nations and Coppa America.

Makes a pleasant change that we are looking at players of that caliber as opposed to fishing in the lower leagues. Also most other clubs have been fairly quiet with regards to business so far. I'm sure we have a plan and Nuno knows what he wants.

I think Wolves are waiting for some of the teams who overvalued their players come to their senses and lower their asking price.
Wolves have probably already inquired and let their interest be known but then backed off at the asking price.
Everyone is asking the moon for players. Wolves will wait until later.
Poker bluff.

Just guessing but that is what I think may be happening.

Just read on BBC gossip page that Seedorf is open to managing in England and would go to the Championship if the project was right. Just a name to throw into the discussion.

Zenga already a legend in my book. Just watched a snippet on bbc where he claims wolves are the biggest English team in Italy. Must have forgotten us in the Anglo Italian cup when says we only played in the uefa cup against Italians lol.

That article about Zenga saying Wolves biggest club for Italians appeared on Fox Soccer site and is quite amusing. Here's the snippet:

In his introductory press conference, Zenga said he decided to take the Wolverhampton job because: "Why not? Wolves are the biggest team for us in Italy. "

Sorry, what?

"This club all the time is in our mind, " Zenga went on. "Even though the club play only one time against an Italian club, it is a very, very important club. "

That's right, folks. When Italians think of English football, it's not Manchester United, Arsenal or Liverpool, or even the nouveau-rich Chelsea or Manchester City who come to mind first. It's Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Never mind that Wolves have spent just four of the last 32 seasons in the English top flight. Don't worry about the fact no single Italian has ever been at the club before. If Zenga says so, it must be true.

Look, it's totally understandable to want to coddle your new employers and sweet-talk the fan base as much as possible. Being liked is kind of important. But so is not being a total buffoon, and that's exactly what Zenga looks like for claiming WOLVERHAMPTON are Italy's favorite English team.

That's almost as wild as 16 jobs in 18 years. Ever consider going into comedy, Walter?

Euroman
Zenga's English vocabulary is none too clever, might be that he can't explain himself in terms we can understand.

Hi my first post on here so please be gentle. Been checking the site every few minutes for news and like many posters prob got a little over excited with the prospect of 50 million + signings.

Did notice that it was Morgan who claimed that they were spending 20-30 million not the new buyers.

Also now interested in the managerial situation and potential signings. Saw someone mention de boer would be very happy with that. Also believe KJ deserves credit for what he has done for us considering the position we were in when he took over.

If we are going to challenge for the league this year we need wholesale changes so hopefully they will deliver, but not expecting the 5 mega signings on Monday (please surprise us)

I believe as a company they will want to be successful as opposed to a rich mans play thing who could get bored quickly so I'm keeping the faith.

Noticed a Moscow wolf on here. You still in Moscow? Met a couple of wolves fans but they have now left to go back to the UK so if your about?

Think we could get him on the cheap, OK wages might be high but could score a bag load in our league and surely would be his last chance. If a success he could become a real fans fave. Know the city fans loved him. Also isn't his dad in Wolverhampton. I definitely would have a punt on him.

Also read the article on sky. So confused. If Li is involved with the fosun buy out surely that changes everything again. Hope Monday's press conference answers our questions. What a roller coaster of a week it has been.
