Mattyj Wilsons different type of player to martin. so it's not as if it's like for like. To be honest I don't think we will go back he's not worth 5m and I think that's why we didn't bother after initial bid was rejected. Ide rather us bring in a pacey skillfull attacker rather than a target man tbh.

With the amount of players purchased/ loaned and allegedly lined up its no wonder the team is playing so well. I think they each fear the sack (transferred) . It's not as if their was any chance of that happening before the takeover.

Big day today!
Stearman and Cavaleiro on express and star again this morning. Wonder how much the Cavaleiro deal is rumoured to be as they believe it's a permanent fee?
Can't say I'm disappointed with the stearman rumour. Knows the club, knows the league and was genuinely an asset for us two years ago so I'm going to have a glass half full and say defenders oftwn improve with age!
Better get climbing those trees at Compton to see if any late surprises are closing in ;-)

Agreed PT, we need strikers who are a lot better than those we currently have. I'm glad we've bought in the rest of the cavalry to support the team covering injuries and loss of form etc! They were definitely needed. However, the main area at the sharp end has been totally neglected and will lightly cost us automatic promotion. When we realise we need reinforcements in January or at the end of the season they will cost more and be more difficult to get in as more money flows into the prem and filters down to the championship with those teams that drop out. I've said my bit now. 😉.

Official site says Williamson and Zyro will be given numbers when fit. I can understand Zyro not having a number because he is at least 6 months away from playing. But for Williamson not to be given a number as he us not fit is very strange because Jordan Graham has been given a squad number but is not fit. More to this than meets the eye if you as me.

I don't think we'll be spending 20m on a player but I can certainly see a 10m+ offer for a striker like Rhodes. Our owners are clever, they'll realise we need a reliable goal scorer and Zenga has already said he wants another striker.
Time will tell though, one things for sure, nobody on here is 'in the know'.

To be honest I think Zenga was probably giving them a chance. He'll want to have the dressing room on his side so didn't want to drop everyone straight away. However, I'd think teixeira has now forced his way into the next team.
