I think we'd only take Shane Long on a loan or nominal/ free deal. Horses for courses, he would help our promotion push but nothing more. We'd move him on if we got to the PL.

Ruddy and Bennett free transfers . not a considerable fee . look at all the signings with large fees paid or agreed . costa jota boly neves . all young players whose value will increase if they perform
. Fosun are a business . if they pay a large transfer fee it will be a young player with a sell on value . Long and Rhodes will only be considered on loan deals.

This season is fascinating old british style v new Morden coaches.
Wolves have gone for experience with free transfers nothing wrong with that and paid money for cultured technical footballers all over the park either in fees or wages.
We could be villa and have terry and whelan experienced but too much of the same. I fancy cav and jota to run rings round them.

Callum Wilson - Bournemouth, rumoured on a season long loan with a view to buy. Be a good option considering he's got a good record and will struggle for game time behind Afobe, Defoe and King.

Callum Wilson is still recovering from and ACL injury to his left leg, having had the same injury a year before to his right leg. That won't happen as hrs still not fit or fully recovered from the op he had in Feb! Afobe wants to stay not leave. The reason he hasn't been prolific in my opinion is Eddie Howe has never played him using his strengths. He's more of a box striker. NO Afobe. or Wilson. âš½ï¸ðŸ‘😉.

Good shout! Great player but, can't see this one happening if I'm honest. Would of loved him to sign a couple years back before we signed Clarke again and would love him at wolves now but, don't think one will happen.
Although in this transfer window and with Fosun pulling off what they have so far you should never say never!

Chambers would be a brilliant signing for us! In addition Forest are a team in trouble, could easily raid their team for quality. Lichaj - Mills - Hobbs - Fox - Cohen - Osborn - Assombalonga. Maybe a few Players + Cash deals, offload some dead wood in the likes of Saville - Wallace - Williamson - Mason - Evans etc. Can't see us getting Marshall if Leeds are interested.

Surely JMwwfc you would not want to get rid of Mason and Williamson when they are ready for first team after injuries, I think Mason will be a good player up front with Bodvarson or similar player to play off gets in good positions and Williamson surely deserves is chance now that we have got him fit, as when fit played very well
The other players you mentioned I have to agree with you, let them go.

I think Mason and Bod need to start the next match. OK they didn't score but they both came close. Unless we can clearly do better, this is our best choice. Dicko will be unhappy he hasn't scored since coming back, but then again neither has any other striker.
I am sure Saville and Wallace will be off, and many of the loans going back. Evans is an enigma. Hard to see how he fits in, but maybe need to see him playing again to know for sure. We will take permanent deals for EEL and Henry too if they emerge.
We also have to be open to unexpected bids for our better players. If a Premier team comes in for Price, Cav or even Bright or Ronan then we would obviously listen.

This is the worrying thing I am fed up of saying, we don't want to be a selling club and bring our young stars through for other clubs to have, we need now to add some players of championship experience to go with the good players and aim to get out this league because so far although there as been some improvement we all agree we still need players to take us to next level and Lambert nows that.
Also we now Fosun have not been big spenders like we thought they would be so far with the money they have, with other clubs spending lots of money, but also we don't want to waste our money on players that are overpriced, January is always the same, they want you to pay through the nose for average players, we need to move the deadwood out firstly and definitely bring at least 2 players with experience in because although we are getting better we are only 5 points of bottom and let's not think we are to good and big a club to go down.
