I haven't posted for a while. I've only come back to moan anyway. I mean, what kind of rubbish is this? I get that end-of-McCarthy feeling all over again, and we know that was followed by two successive relegations.

We're not as safe from relegation as we might think. As things stand, we're not getting the points and we'll be drawn into a relegation battle by the end of March.

Injuries? Sure, but we have a team of players that were signed by Jackett or promoted by him from the U21s. So they should be good enough. What must Nouha be thinking as he watches this carp from the stand, let alone Williamson who must be wondering why he signed at all.

Removing Jackett is a risk but it's what teams usually do in this position. Can another manager get more out of this team? Probably not, although it's hard to see how it can be worse so my guess is that he'll be gone sooner rather than later. As we saw at ManU, Moyes couldn't make Fergie's team play any better, and Van Gaal even after spending a fortune hasn't got a lot more out of them. And that's where we are from a new manager's standpoint. We have only a handful of players who could cut it in the Premier (Dicko, McDonald, perhaps Iorfa err. OK not even a handful) so if we're serious about eventual promotion, we need to change the team. Van la Parra is a good example of a quality player who isn't performing at Wolves. No point keeping players like that, although maybe another manager can get more out of him. Le Fondre is another. If Zyro were fit again, we'd see what he is made of, but I fear frustration again.

So I think survival is important in the short term, making sure we don't drop lower. If that means playing boring football and picking up the odd point or goal on the counter attack then so be it. We aren't going to overwhelm or frighten any team so it's damage limitation time.

Over and out.

We aren't getting promoted and don't think we are going down either, kenny is on a rolling 12month contract so no point sacking him and paying out when he can go at the end of the season.
if we got in a new manager before the end of the season he couldn't make a difference apart from a few wins and maybe moving up avplace or two.

Wish I had your confidence about avoiding relegation. We look OK but how many more places do we need to slip before we hear the sound of squeaky bums on boardroom seats?
