Hey everyone. Watched the Julen interview as was posted below a few days ago. I was very impressed. He just seems to be so calm and given his experience I am glad he is here.
I have been trying to stay positive over the past 15 games but honestly it has been so hard. I try not to get to frustrated as it’s only a game at the end of the day, but when you have supported your team for almost 4 decades, it can be hard to not let it bother you.
This season has definitely been strange. Everyone seems to be beating everyone and some of the big boys struggling. It’s so congested from 8 all the way done to us. For whatever reason, and maybe I have gone crazy, but I’m choosing to get very excited about how the team will respond and set up after the WC ends.
We are not going to win the league or finish in Europe, so why not have an exciting season where we will be biting our nails and seeing how high we can finish. Hopefully we will be safe with about 3 games to spare. Don’t think I can hack a last day of the season against Arsenal needing to win by a 5 goal swing to secure our top flight status! COYW

vbwolf, we now have at least a chance of survival.
Some reasons to be cheerful:
1. Sellars hopefully gone, if not, demoted
2. A manager, not a coach appointed
3. A manager with a serious pedigree to boot!
4. Fighters and runners only needed
5. Squad to be re-balanced
6. Still 28 games to secure circa 30 points
7. A few weeks to get ourselves sorted
8. A whole new support team appointed (someone said it is 14 new
faces!)
9. Morale raised in the squad
10. A fan base that will be a 12th man at home matches
As the man said, "Out of darkness, cometh light"

It's strange vbwolf when you're younger it's an unashamed obsession, tribalism if you like, but as you get older you try to be a bit cooler, more civilised and balanced about the whole thing.

Then once you retire you resort to tribalism lol, probably because you've got more time to become immersed in it all again.

But you're right the lower/mid-table is congested so a few wins can make a big difference. I just hope that the previous management haven't damaged us beyond repair, having said that 2-3 of the right recruits can make a big difference.

Survival without too much angst would do for me.

vbwolf. Your comment "I try not to get frustrated because it's only a game". Now you just go and wash your mouth out with soapy water! Life and death gosh it's more important than that!
Seriously this guy's the dogs wotsits I think we are in very good hands so strap yourselves in for the ride and see how high we can get. This is more like how you present a new manager. I commented at the time of Bruno Lage's appointment how very low key it was, oh here's a picture he's gone back to Portugal for a bit. Very half hearted. Let's hope the damage done over the summer by bad decisions can by erased by Julen in the January sales!
Bring on Boxing day! It was my 71st birthday on Saturday the result wasn't the best but the attitude of most of the players was spot on and our new managers optimism excites me for what is to come. COYW

I'm just focused on being better than 3 teams and the Albion being worse than 3 teams.

Jl comes across as a man who knows his business, and has assessed the challenge at Wolves, and has a plan to get a winning mentality, with a dollop of renewed confidence. We'll, its worked on me and I haven't met him. COYW.

I'm confident he will keep us up
1/ he wouldn't have come if he didn't think he could save us
2)he wouldn't have come if the funds weren't there to buy
3/he wouldn't have come if he knew he wouldn't buy the players needed, and he wants
4/ happy days ahead
