Negatives - First goal looked offside (i say looked as didn't get clear view), Sterling dived. Boly definitely red sorry.

Positives - team did well with just 10 men it wasn't men against boys, Dendonker looked good in the back 3, Adama looked better tonight just couldn't get the service.
Jota seems to be getting his sharpness back.

3-0 is nothing to be ashamed off we dust down and go onto the next match.

The Red card was such a massive blow. Although we were 1-0 down at the time, we weren't out of it. Fair play to Man City, they made the extra man count.

Not slating Boly but I was kind off expecting a major error from him soon as to me he seemed too casual at times over the past few weeks.
Still a brilliant player and hopefully he'll learn and grow from this mistake.

I agree 1st goal offside, Stirling is a diving t**t if anything he had his arm across Bennett and Bolys red card shows the inconsistency of our refs as week on week worse two footed tackles where the offender doesn’t get the ball go unpunished, I think it was Carrager who said it wouldn’t have been given as a foul 10-15 years ago needs sorting by the FA.
As for men v boys really!
And Willy Boly has no need to hang his head in shame at all guy is a brilliant defender and made an unfortunate (debatable) tackle, how many games have you watched!

The frustrating thing about Bolts red card was that other players have got away with a yellow for similar poor tackles. Yes it's a red by the letter of the law, but consistency must be the key. I don't think the players reaction helped, but that's modern day contactless football for you. Bring on Leicester.

When I played football that wasn’t even a foul as Willy made contact with the ball first his momentum took him through. You had to make Cont with the leg ankle for it to be reviewed as a foul.! Oh, how times have changed on the pitch! We showed them too much respect and our composure at the in the 1st half wasn’t good. We hoofed far too many balls away and right back to them. Adama has to be way more composed and he will then will be on his way. Needs to look at David Brooks, seen him play a few times, he makes space and for his age one of the most composed players I’ve seen on a football pitch.

Onwards and upwards! Losing Willly for 3 games could cost us dearly. Hope it doesn’t.

⚽️😉👍.

frustrating evening all round for us fans we got there at 5.15 managed to park close to the ground and only 6 quid but then walked about 5 miles around the ground no pub for away fans had to get a taxi into town more expense but after a good lubrication got the taxi back to the ground . from the outside the etihad looked amazing but as soon as you got through the turnstiles it turns into a drab soulless place food was really poor and beer flat . as for the match we are going to have to learn to defend against good teams like this tore through us for the first goal (hint of off side? ) never seen boly make such a rash challenge and no need on the half way line / a dodgy penalty right in front of where I stood must of brushed a hair on bennets leg down like a wounded soldier / and then a cody? own goal hard to see from our view but not all doom and gloom the more I see dendoncker the more I like him givs us a bit more steel and with more games will be a real assett so onward and upwards boys COYW!

Re Boly's red card - law states at following through on the tackle and catching the ankle or below is a YELLOW - above the ankle is a RED!

And as for that diving monkey, Ryan was harshly penalised.

Carrying on with big willy's red, have a look in today's times. Pic of boly with ball on ground getting red, and pic of Kompany launched foot in air towards salah (who has ball) who got a yellow. Who implements the law? Discretion surely has to given and some common understanding applied.

When you take it all in you have to say we didn't get the rub of the green against City, match was over after 20 min. With sending off, I would of given yellow card for that because he got the ball first and is foot was near to ground, okay he followed through but what was he supposed to do and catches him on ankle, after all Silva made such a meal of it also city players which I believe helped the referee to send him off.
There first goal we switched off like to see if there was hint offside, second goal stupid decision by Bennett, third goal bad defending again, they didn't have to do to much to win game really as we handed to them on a plate.
