I'd be interested to know what ed025 thinks now about Wolves. I think it was him who was saying that Wolves didn't have Premier League experience and wouldn't be as good as his team, which I believe was Everton.

{Ed025's Note - i never actually said that timmy, i did say that you might find it harder than some of you thought at the start of the season though, its still very early days mate and you are doing very well i must admit, you wont finish higher than everton though because we always will be the superior team as form is temporary but class is forever.. :)

Don't make me dig through the archives. :)

{Ed025's Note - dig all you want timmy mate...you might find when wolves last won something...lol..

I think if you stand Wolves 1st eleven up against Everton's and scored each player out of 10 the class is definitely wearing the old gold my son!

{Ed025's Note - no dav i dont think so mate, you are doing very nicely i must admit but the likes of siggurdson, bernard, richarleson, pickford coleman, digne walk in the wolves team, not to mention yerry mina and gomes who have yet to play for us, class will out in the end and everton are steeped in it so nice try mate but you will go on a bad run thats for sure, good luck though and i think you will stay up this season which will be a fine effort..

Last season Ed championship trophy :P.

{Ed025's Note - good answer RKO, we have never won that mate as we have never been relegated though.. :)

Never say never ed - Everton were relegated for the second time in 1950–51 and did not earn promotion until 1953–54, when they finished as runners-up in their third season in the Second Division. The club have been a top-flight presence ever since.

Banter aside though I do like Everton and hope they do well too.

{Ed025's Note - long time ago that RKO so im saying it does,nt count :), its all good to have a bit of banter mate its what its all about, you have a very good manager there and play good football so i hope you do well and think you will..

All you have to worry about is finishing above the Red section of Scousepool. I do believe that Everton are our direct rivals this year, both clubs ambitious to achieve. Let's see what happens but for me staying up is cool.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think there will be a lot between us SANES and believe that if you stay relatively injury free you will do a lot better than just avoid relegation mate, mid table will be a really good season..

Ed your having a laugh if you think Pickford would walk into the wolves team how much have Everton spent in the last 2 windows I think we will be a lot closer to you than you give us credit for.

{Ed025's Note - i have said it will be close between us ste, my guess would be us finishing 8-10th and wolves 9-11th, i think our squad is slightly stronger but the first team fairly equal, if im right mate it it will be a great season for wolves and everton who we see as being in transition..

Sorry ed but if you really believe all those Everton players would walk into our first team you are sadly deluded!

{Ed025's Note - its down to personal opinion of course TT but who out of them would you not put in the wolves team?..

Thought the Ed was supposed to be impartial not use the Wolves site to promote his own team. I've thought for sometime this site was going downhill, now it seems to have hit rock bottom. You can do better than this Ed.

{Ed001's Note - if you are too much of a child to understand that this is a banter page, then go elsewhere. It is people like you that ruin sites like this, not the Ed having a bit of banter, like the page is intended for.}

I will likely be accused of getting carried away but with almost a quarter of the season gone Wolves are 5 points off the top. A top four finish may be achievable - some strengthening in January might just do it : cover for Moutinho/ Neves, a proven striker ( Vardy? Why not? )

I don't mind Ed025 sticking up for his Everton Team. Any fan would for his own team. My opinion of Everton is that they are pretty much level pegging with Wolves, now that we have caught up under Fosun ownership. I see Everton as immediate competitors now if we are to finish in the top 6 to 8.

Ed I find the banter exactly as it should be. The likes of wallaby can't see any further than their stir it up mind set. We're up there with you and I agree our squad is a bit shallow in comparison, but we've got Nuno and he can get our team to play and that inspiration might just get us higher than the toffees.

Ed, you realize Wolves have 6 player gone to senior national teams and one who is out because they are giving some younger players a try out.
What players do you think your players are going to supplant?
Patricio? Neves? Jimenez? Jonny? Doherty? Costa? Coady? Boly? Bennett?
Maybe you can argue that Costa can be replaced by someone who is more on form but he did get his first call up to the Portuguese senior team so he can't be playing that badly?
Who is Siggurdson going to replace? Moutinho or Neves? You see how silly you are? You think some Icelandic international is going to replace two Portuguese internationals, one with over 100 caps and one who is being touted as a top 4 team player.
Bernard has 0 goals. Heck, we have two wingers who have 0 goals, too.
I won't waste my time refuting the other names.

Is Siggurdson going to replace the third most capped player in Portuguese football history or a guy that all of the top teams seem to want to sign as their midfield player of the future?

Hey Ed. Do you actually watch Wolves play or are you like those pundits who admit 5 games into the season that they never watched Wolves and were just commenting based on what they assumed a newly promoted team would play like?

15.) 09 Oct 2018
09 Oct 2018 11:07:27
100% Siggurdson gets in your team, bernard walkin onto your wing coleman strolls into the team, mina, gomes, i can go on. just because he has 100 odd caps for portugal doesn't mean a thing mate, rooney is England's all time top scorer and has 100 od caps would u take him right now? no you wouldn't caps mean nothing.

He has 100 caps and played for Portugal this summer and played for Monaco last season. He is not a has been, like Rooney.
Read the reviews of his play.

Sigurdsson is a great player albeit displacing Moutinho and Neves at present would be a stretch, and I would agree that on current form Richarlison and Bernard could get in ahead of Costa and Jota but I disagree that anyone else would WALK into the Wolves team. I wouldn't swap Patricio or any of our defence for Everton's. Ĺook at the current defensive records. We have conceded half the number of goals as Everton.
Doherty has just won the PFA Player of the Month so he definitely gets in ahead of Coleman. Bennett and Coady have been revelations at the back and there are very few central defenders as classy as Boly.

Of course everyone should stick up for their team and this is all about opinions and we are all partizan but on current form, the statements don't hold up.

is that the same portugal who drew with iran and struggled against morroco then went out to without a fight in the last 16, and playing for monoco is nothing special mate look at falco whatever his name is, world beater in france flop in england.
