I think we all agree last year was a great season for us breaking all our historic records in the championship, highest points tally, most games ever one, highest goal tally and least conceded.

This transfer window is pivotal to the aspirations of both our owners, manager and us, the supporters, relegation would be catastrophic, a top 6 finish a dream, and in all reality well beyond our capabilities.

So where will we finish next season? I would like to think mid table 9th would be ideal perhaps a little on the optomistic side but achievable. I base this on the following, if we could do the same and beat our records in the Prem, most won 11 and least lost 18, we could end up 12 won 9 drawn and 17 lost or 45pts.

This also ties in with how the six championship winners with a total of plus 90pts have fared in the past decade on return to Premiership. They have managed to average 44.3% of thier championship points total in their first season in the Prem. This would relate to 44pts for us. Allowing for a 3pt margin of error 42pts to 48pts would indicate on average a finish position between 10 and 14th.

I hoped for 9th because this was the position City were in when Mansour took control and 2 years later they were in Europe.

In Nuno we trust.

Why would you hazard a guess at where we will end up without even knowing who will be on the team?
Wolves are going to spend big and are targeting top 6 at least.

Timmy remind me again who exactly from the club has EVER so much as mentioned this mythical 'top six finish' which you speak of?! Teams like Everton have been plying a trade in the Prem since before the league was even called that and they don't find it easy to spend there way into the top six, yet we are going to find it a walk in the park?! Peoples arrogance/ ignorance about how the top league works is genuinely laughable! Of course with a perfect season any team COULD finish in the top six but guess what all teams will be trying it and only six will manage so not sure why we should assume that includes us?!

Top 6 is a crowded space but with Burnley 7th it's not ridiculous and we don't know what will happen to Arsenal and Chelsea

I would be happy to be in top half with this team but if we get more players of Neves standard yes we should be higher.

Kevin Thelwell says Wolves want to be challenging Spurs. What position did they finish in?
I doubt he would specifically mention Spurs unless he was talking about next year. If he was talking about 3 or 4 years out, he wouldn't know where Spurs would be in the table.
