Has anyone seen the Neves interview, where he watches the replay of his goal?

His comment- “my first touch was not good”.

Is that saying he can get better than last nights goal? But what an honest, down to earth young man.

Implies that he didn't mean to bobble the ball up and only decided to volley it in afterwards.

Well, he's modest. But we know what he's capable of. He's put in 6 from outside of the box. And he stands at 35 yards, waiting for the clearance. He could have passed it to the wing backs. But he knows what he's can do. Coady said he does it in training all the time. Basically he makes his own luck, and he's very good at it!

I think he means that his first touch meant he had to readjust because the ball went more behind him than he expected Euro.
Great goal. Remember Matt Le Tissier scoring one quite similar some years ago. The whole footballing fans/ pundits were drooling about it.
