Can anyone remember the name of the guy that used to frequent the old South Bank (when we only had two sides) and he would 'book' and 'send off' the referee and linesmen?
We were talking about him on Saturday and no-one could remember his name.
Cheers.

His name was Dicky Westwood, I can see him now on reserve match days dashing down the south bank steps waving a giant handkerchief shouting out ‘Corner ref’. On cup matches he wore a sting necklace of alternate black puddings and oranges aka wolves colours. At halftime he would chuck his cap down and play football with the lads. He was indeed a great character, many years ago I spoke to him at Wednesfield when he worked on the dustbins. There are no characters about now like Dicky god bless him.

I remember Brian from an earlier era who used to stand by the scoreboard in the Waterloo Road stand and book the referee. He lived in Park Village somewhere I think.

i remember in the 60-70's a chap on the North Bank (right side, half way up) doing the same. He also booked the ref himself. A fairly heavy and red faced chap. Same guy? He would have had a field day with the ref for the Swansea game.
