Hull almost down. Go get Silva now.

1.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 12:38:18
Absolutely correct. Do it at half time!

2.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 12:44:53
Just what we need. A manager who's just relegated a team and no experience of 2nd tier football.

3.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 12:47:22
Silva plays zonal marking, wolves would have to play with 8 defenders for the crap we have at the back, good look with that.

4.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 13:12:18
Its a bit harsh to accuse him of getting em relegated!

5.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 13:18:37
Hull haven't exactly batonned down the hatches and put up a fight considering they know their fate.

6.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 13:21:10
Agreed Brimble Wolf. Even he moves about. At least he's quality though. ⚽️👍😉.

7.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 13:25:43
He's had enough games to keep them up though hasn't he?

8.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 13:30:27
Maybe, but he hasn't been able to bring anyone in, had to work with what he inherited. Which wasn't much! I think he would spend our money well.

9.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 13:31:28
Marco Silva gas 27 out of a possible 63 points = 40% points ratio. Is this really better than Lambert who has 47 from a possible 99 points at a 47% ratio.

10.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 13:33:48
Over a 46 game season Lambert would get 65 points, Marco Silva 59 points. Just saying.

{Ed001's Note - seriously? That is a ridiculous comparison. Lambert was the worst manager in the Prem while Villa manager, Silva has been excellent with a shambles of a club that is in the middle of a battle between owners and fans.}

11.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 13:34:50
Jas how can u knock a quality manager like Silva when u suck up to loser Lambert? As was said earlier with the points he's achieved with hull they'd be 10th. He hasn't failed it was Phelan before him who got hull relegated.

12.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 13:38:16
Sounds familiar sillyrocket - having to work with what he's inherited. Plus he wouldn't be spending our money, Mendes would be given that he's in charge of our recruitment.

13.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 13:40:30
Jas your stats r of no importance, your comparing premier league to a mediocre championship! Until they lost the other week he hadn't lost a home game for over 40 matches! I don't think your buddy Lambert can say that? 😂.

14.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 13:40:33
Sillyrocket, seems that he worked under the same circumstances as Lambert.

15.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 13:49:31
Jas forget it lousy comparison.
Anyway Hull are down losing 3-0 So let's put first theory to the test (Silva) and get ready to move on when he says no.

16.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 13:55:44
Ed, you say Lambert was the worst manager Villa had in the Premier League but i'd like to point out that in 3 seasons under his guidance they stayed up. They went down the season after he left Therefore Sherwood and Garde are the worst managers. Also Silva has just led Hull down in his 1st season. So if you want to look at basic facts, Lamberts record is better. I'm not going to comment again on this matter. I will just speak to my actual contacts within the club who will keep me updated rather than listen to Paul Tamworths hatred of everything.

{Ed001's Note - you are talking nonsense about your contacts and how Lambert has a better record than Silva. Pick your toys up lad, grow up and man up. Just accept you are making a fool of yourself, Lambert is a crap manager who dragged Villa down from finishing top half until he left them as relegation certainties.}

17.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 14:07:42
Likewise PT. If PL has been here all season we'd finish 8th. What's your point?

18.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 14:17:05
Really hope this goes the way Paul Tamworth and Ed want it to go. Also Ed don't presume anything about me. I do have contacts at Wolves and have done for years. Likewise I've got contacts at Villa as well having worked there for 11 years.

{Ed001's Note - what I want? No idea what that means. I don't care who is appointed or if Lambert stays, just pointing out your post was ridiculous. Oh and by the way, I told you all that this was going to be a mess with Mendes involved. He is there for one reason and one reason only - to get round the third party ownership rules that it looks like another superagent might yet fall afoul of.}

19.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 14:28:32
Randy Lerner gave Villa millions and they finished top 6. He then got divorced, sold 2 of his companies as his wife took 50% and he stopped pumping money into Villa. Lambert was employed to keep them up and find the odd gem like Benteke which he did. It was Sherwood and Garde that relegated them.

{Ed001's Note - I know what happened, but Lambert was the one who put them in such a mess and he was not in charge of recruitment or scouting there either.}

20.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 14:30:42
I think Ed has said all that needs to be said about Lambert 👍😂😂😂.

21.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 14:34:25
Your contacts at the club Jas r that good u don't even know if Lamberts been sacked, resigned or still there? Your in the dark as much as us so less of the bo--ocks!

22.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 15:19:10
PT, you really can't see past the end of your nose can you. If you re-read my posts from yesterday you'll see that I said all staff apart from the top brass are being kept in the dark. In future please read the posts before replying. Thanks.

23.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 15:27:32
Lambert is negotiating his compensation package for the remainder of his contract. He's not quite gone yet but will be in next few days.

24.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 15:33:24
Pl had 13 games in charge before the close of the January window, he won 5, drew 3 and lost 8. 18 pts or 64pts over the season.

After the transfer window additions of Weimann and Marshall he had 17 games, won 7, drew 2 and lost 8. 23pts or 62pts over the season.

Can a manager who get less points per game after bringing in his players really be entrusted for another season. Get rid, the sooner the better, I'd rather live in hope than desperation. UTW.

25.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 16:06:15
Before I go, just thought I'd point out that Marco Silva is now the favourite to take over at Inter Milan.

26.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 16:24:27
Also linked with Southampton.

27.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 17:14:04
Ed have I got it wrong as to me you seem to contradict yourself. You say Lambert was the one who put them in a mess and then partially absolve him of that by stating that he was not in charge of recruitment or scouting. So why is it that that those in charge of that were responsible for the mess.

{.

{Ed001's Note - how is that absolving him of blame? He was the coach and he did a very poor job of coaching the team.}

28.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 17:55:01
Jas, you have defended pl to the hilt. You have worked at Villa and have contacts at Wolves. You seem to know what is happening regarding Lamberts contract, pay off etc but say most at Wolves don't know what's happening. Guys I think I've cracked it, Jas is the man himself! Jas also known as Paul Lambert! 😂😂😂.

29.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 18:16:27
Silva is not coming to Wolves. We're getting a journeyman from Mendes stable who will be sacked after 6 months.

30.) 14 May 2017
14 May 2017 20:35:17
Jas. You are almost certainly right. Silva prob won't be coming to Wolves unfortunately because everyone knows he's a class act. He will get a top job somewhere, but we can live in hope! But please stop these delusions of grandeur. Like everyone else on here we don't really know anything about what's going on and nor do you. Its just hopeful speculation and banter. Chill out!
