I was thrilled at the prospect of having the cash for 8 new quality players. Not sure at the moment what we have ended up with. Bodvarsson was an absolute steal but we have signings who are injured, not ready, talented and tricky but lightweight, too big a squad and quite honestly it would take a genius to graft a promotion challenging team out of that at the moment. There are some basics we all know. Players need a run of games to get match sharpness, a team needs to get an understanding of each other which only comes by playing together and wholesale chopping and changing is a recipe for disaster. We have been undone by Van la Parra, Bradshaw and Hammill and teams from league one.
There is history at the club of spectacular failure and saying you are going to get promoted doesn't make it happen without the right strategy and decision making.
We have had foreign player experiments before and I remember Mick buying a number of cheap journeymen like Halford instead of a smaller number of talented players.
I believe we have gone OTT with numbers and caused a self inflicted problem . I am sure Fosun will sort the right way out in time but whether we will be adrift by Christmas or whether Walter will be down the tube by then remains to be seen. Escaping from the Champo is the toughest job for a manager especially for one with no track record.

Wolves are relegation fodder. League One next season. Naive owners, no strategy, no vision. Results don't lie. This club is going backwards. Moxey was a great CEO, replaced by a lightweight marketer.

2 defeats in 7 games isn't the catastrophe some are thinking. Vast changes, lack of a proper pre-season etc, common sense says it will be inconsistent for a while unless we're lucky or scrape results through moments of magic. W4, D4, L4 is what I thought on day 1 would be the opening 12 then we should see improvement. Then and only then should we fail to improve do we need to panic. I'd be more worried if the board started sacking managers within 10 games.

If we're struggling come November the board will act. Not 2 weeks into September (or at least I hope that's the case)

I'm sure Marco Silva is learning English as we speak if things don't work out however I hope Zenga makes it work as I like the fella.

Your assumption on Marco Silva learning English is indeed correct.
I have a mate who's sister is a English teacher abroad who has been helping him with his English for the last 6weeks.
If Zenga flops which I hope he doesn't Silva is apparently a shoe in for the job.
