It seems Jimenez isn't sure his future lies at Wolves. If that's the case we should start looking elsewhere. We don't need anyone that isn't 100% behind this team.

If you read it again it is clear (within the realms of translations) that he is saying that he is uncertain as it is out of his hands, the club making the final decision as to whether to buy him at the end of his loan period.
What he CAN do, is play his heart out and see where that gets him in terms of goals, assists, and general team play.
To write him off based on a few translated sentences, and grabbing the other end of a stick, just isn't how to support your team and the players that wear our colours.

On a similar vein. I see Raul like I saw Leo last year (before Xmas) .
Yes, not a world beater (but how many of those do we have) but bloody good enough for what we needed at that time.
Raul hasn't scored the number of goals he could have done (and he's probably the first to say the same) but you can't fault the lad's endeavour and intentions.
Raul is an upgrade on Leo, and there is definitely room for an upgrade on Raul, but until it materialises let's get behind him.

Jimenez is not a prolific striker. He wasn't brought in to bang in 25 goals a season. He was brought in to stretch defences allowing the likes of Costa, Jota, Cav and Traore to run inside and score.

Exeter don't lecture me about how to support my team. I was first taken up the Wolves in 1950. I've seen them win the league three times, the FA and league cups. I was there in the 80s in the 4th division. believe me, I know how to support my team.

The headline hasn't helped on this one. Because reading his quotes I think what he REALLY means is that he knows he needs to score more goals to justify that fee agreed. I mean he talked about loving it and he's playing regularly at the highest level so why wouldn't he want to stay?! Think he just doesn't want to get egg on his face by lining up behind the club then them not going for him!
On a side note I think he would just about be worth it! I agree he may not ever be prolific but like Jas says his games much more than that. He's one of this new breed of 'false nine' striker where his games as much about team goals as it is his own. You look back over most of our goals this season and he is usually an integral part, even if its just that sly run off the ball to drag a cb away. Not to mention £30m gets you nothing these days with strikers and by some other deals that's still good business for Raul! let's not forget Benteke was £35m!

2 important developments recently will give us full value from Jimenez now.
1. The emergence for a strike partner in MGW.
2. The great return to goal scoring form by Jota. He scored 18 last season remember.

These 3 players combining up front will step up the scoring rate significantly.

Noddy, believe me pal, I have no intention of lecturing anyone on how to support our team.
You have been there like me.
Raul is a 'worker'.
Let's all support him and the boys in old gold.

Exeter I've posted on here before how much I like Jimenez, I was very disappointed to read he'd been talking to journalists about possibly leaving. TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER.

Noddyboy, where has he said he wants to possibly leave. I think he said that he's only on loan to us and there are many factors that need to be sorted before he joins permanently. If these can't be agreed then he won't join. The main sticking point is that Benfica haven't given us a compulsory option to buy at an agreed price and may well up their valuation.

{Ed002's Note - You cannot have a "compulsary option".}

You know what I mean Ed, like we've got with Afobe and Stoke.

Noddy you need to re-read the article buddy cause at NO point does he 'talk about the possibility of leaving' I mean he couldn't before the end of the loan anyway unless we cancelled it! All he does say is he doesn't know if he will stay and that's VERY different! And can you blame him after the way we took up Beniks option?! He's not stupid and he knows its on the club so to keep his language neutral, but if a player wants to leave they don't talk about loving playing at the club (like he did) . Also Jas I do believe the £30m fee agreed (or whatever it is around that) would be binding if we wanted to take it up, I suspect what it will come down to is if Nuno/ Mendes think its worth that level of spend comparative to other options they have.
Just got back from today's game and for me at this stage it would be worth it. The guy was EVERYWHERE today, defending set pieces, winning the ball in midfield and oh yeah the important one scoring a goal! COYW ;)

That is exactly what Boly said before he signed, if you will remember.
