Wolves weighing up other targets after not going back in for Adama Traore. Still an option.
Wu Lei among them.

Not sure any others on the radar anyone?

According to Spiers.

Away don't we just pay the 18M and get it over and done with.

My thought exactly.

Maybe the scouts/ Nuno don't feel he is worth £18m? He didn't exactly set the world alight last time he was in the prem. Yes I would be happy if we signed him, but he isn't worth more than Jota, Neves, Costa etc. Better available at that price imo.

Newsnow saying nuno wants wolves to go back in with the 18million. Weather its true or not just have to wait and see.

In my mind it only makes sense to run things down to the line if there is 100% nobody else in for him. keep making bids lower than 18mil up to deadline day see if they bite.

Play hard ball if we hold the negotiating card. Thing is they don't want to let him go. Neither club nor manager.

If they really want him. Cut the time wasting pay the money and get him in and around the squad. Heard the injury isn't too bad at all. Few weeks out.

West Ham in for Marega and Brahami, we should definitely go for one of them both played undo Nuno at Porto!

Treading water were lost to much dithering
Overhyping at its best
We’ve missed a trick.

I've repeated it many times. Its not Nuno's or Wolves fault we are not signing these top players. They want to go to a London, or Manchester, or Liverpool, or even Birmingham (if they had a football team! ) . They don't want to live in Wolverhampton, and this is going to be a major, long term problem for us.

{Ed025's Note - thats a fair point toad..

Personally I think wolves need to go for a striker. Silva seems the only name but his record is not great recently.

With arsenal needing to sell Welbeck could be a good option. Lots of good options on the wing already but if Bolatini continues his form from second half of the season and Jimenez fails to adapt to the Prem the club could struggle for goals.

Welbeck always scores a few goals and has rarely been a starter. Would be a lot less then a lot of other targets.

Pete ORourke saying Wolves are going to trigger Traore's buy out clause imminently after Nunos intervention 👍.

Would love Welbeck if we could get him. These Portuguese are all great but still think we need more English players as it looks like if Coady gets injured we would field a team with no English players.

Got to admit these links to Guedes are interesting he can play through the middle and is very talented (don’t judge World Cup to much) and proved that at Valencia.

The people saying why don't we just pay the 18m for Traore, as much as I rate the player at championship level, is he worth more than jota? Also its very easy to spend someone elses money, a majority of fans who defend us against all these FFP accusations say that fosun are smart in business, then let them do wjat they have to do to get wolves where we want to be. however I do have a few Worries with the mendes involvement, from his involvement on valencia which I have mentioned in the past and also living in China for 5 years the chinese attitude to football and business seems to a quick way to gain global recognition as brand. just a thought, I don't want to be negative, this is the best football I've seen wolves play and obviously want pur team to compete at the highest level so can't complain about how we achieve it right?

I think the questions whether he is worth more than Jota etc isn't really valid. We agreed a few for Jota before he played for us last season. Jota, Neves, Bolly are all worth a lot more than that value now.

If you have a buy out clause it don't matter how many times you go back in with lower bids. They ain't selling. Until you activate that set valuation he is going nowhere. Good lord I hope there are people at the club with more sense than a pea.

Danny Rose now even money with the bookies t0 move to Wolves?
Doesn't mean the bookies think it's 50-50, it jut means punters are putting money on it. If Rose was 10/ 1 to move to us and loads of money went on, the odds would drop to protect the bookies. You can probably get odds on Elvis Presley turning up for that matter!

Demon, an activation fee merely means that a club can't refuse to allow the interested club to speak with the player, however if no other clubs bid for the player, the selling club will have no choice but to negotiate. A prime example of this is Denilson about 20 years ago when Real Betis added a release clause of £200m. No one was ever prepared to meet that fee and so they agreed a much lower price with Bordeaux.

Rojo . i hope those words come back to haunt him, overpaid, overrated Argie, living in his ivory tower.

Probably playing in the worst performing Man utd team for a decade. he's one of the reasons . poor positionally, tackles that belong in the 70s.
