Have to ask do peeps really think these Keane and Pack rumours actually have any legs? Don’t get me wrong I’m not proclaiming to have ANY knowledge of the inner workings of our club but if there’s even a smidge of truth in either rumour then I’m perplexed! Pack is a poor mans Saville and has struggled to nail down in a starting role in the City squad at times (despite the midfield being there weakest part of the team) and Robbie Keane moved to India because the MLS was getting to much for him.

I mean does anyone really believe either would improve the squad? Keane at least may offer something as an impact sub or in the coaching capacity but even then I’m sceptical as I’m just not sure he’d have the legs for this league anymore. As for Pack well I’d sooner play Price, hell I’d sooner recall Evans and that’s saying something!
Luckily the way these stories have broken does not fit the mould of recent signings, I mean there was nothing official on Mir until about 20 hours before we signed him. Hopefully this is just more naughty agents using the clubs name to drum up interest, fingers crossed.

They said that about teddy sheringham? If we loss say jota ' because he is a target now and he's lucky he's not been hurt'and can't see him lasting another 20 games without some nob taking him out. then same as rav or neves. we need back up for the last 20 games to get us over the line. so if we do buy anyone its for that and subs. tbf would you rather keep bright and play him the last 20 mins or robbie.

Alright Dappa. You are correct we need reinforcements but it will be done with skill and a lot of sense. It would be daft to upset the wolf pack mentality. Signing x, y and z for other reasons than improving the squad and team is daft. On sky sports they say wolves weren’t after Keane- Fake news reported last night.
I would like to see a proven striker, a midfielder that can drive forward and a rwb. They will either be prem players on loan or youngsters tempted to make a name for themselves. And they will be hand picked by Nuno.
In Nuno I trust! Let him have his chance. Mir isn’t the answer but for 2m he is worth taking a chance on you never know what we might have on our hands.

Robbie K just does not fit Nuno's plans in any job. Hope it is just fake news.

If we were told we'd signed a 37 year old from an Indian club, would we be impressed?

No Dappa as they were past it. I wouldn’t even class Keane as a legend or cult hero. He went to soon. And then played for villa and scored a hattrick against us. After we had tried to sign him on loan. He didn’t need the money then but still went there. Even after years at Tottenham and Liverpool.

I say forget about him it’s all brand Keane for him. Not welcome at all. Lescott would be he got us to the prem, we had memeorable games and he didn’t leave under a cloud of smoke. Plus he went on to do well after playing for our academy.

Have to say that I generally agree with anew here, on pretty much all counts if honest. I think we do have a habit of romanticising when it comes to old players at this place and especially with Keane. When in reality he couldn’t get out of the club fast enough and never looked back claiming all clubs after were his ‘boyhood club’ (despite the fact our youth team pretty much bringing him up after saving him from a tough background) .
Also Dappa as you ask the question (again just being honest) …. but yeah I would sooner bring Bright on than Robbie. Why…simple there's a future in doing that, ok Bright needs to learn to shot (and fast) but the lad is 19 and shows some REAL potential and by giving those weekly cameos we are building him up. Another thing on this is that when Bright come on its generally to inject some pace/ direct running against a tired team, just not sure a 37 year old with tired legs will quite do that?!
Now of course Dappa you are right in so much that a couple of squad players would help with depth but to be honest again I have to agree with anew. In so much that for me either young with potential or loans seems a far more sensible way forward than just bringing has beens back on large wages! Just my take on it but there ya go…. COYW ;)

Cheers Bullysboy. I wasn’t trying to disregard Dappas point of view. But watching the wolves this season is magic. And the wolves spirit of the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and in part 80’s is back. And Nuno should tread carefully in selecting additions. I agree with bright. I sit in the billyquiet. And this idiot behind me moans at Nuno for bringing bright on then tells everyone his rubbish. But he’s never played football. Bright comes on last twenty minutes holds up the ball and brings other players into the game such as jota and cav who are tired at that stage after playing 75 mins plus. Bright will become a good player let him develop and support every youngster wolves fans. They have an affiliation to the club and sometimes the area. COYW.
