My understanding is that our second striker signing will be a UK based one. Names I'm hearing currently are Ashley Barnes, Nakhi Wells and Danny Ings. The likes of Afobe and Gray are non starters.

{Ed047's Note - That would be a very good move as he would join on loan, knows where the goal is and works very hard for the team, but he has been out for nearly 2 years injured but has been working hard all summer to get match fit i would certainly take him if i were Nuno.}

I agree Ed. of all the names discussed, Ings would be my choice.

{Ed047's Note - He wont play much at Liverpool this season so a loan makes sense as he will play and hopefully stay match fit, he will score goals and fit in with the system, it will cost peanuts to loan him and he is proven.}

barnes and wells are 27 and would surely be dead money, and ings is rehabilitating from serious injury and surely not up to a full season.

without a serious striker this isn’t the stuff of promotion, we look more like a team showcasing talent to be sold on into the prem.

{Ed047's Note - Ings would be a good choice he has only had 1 weeks holiday as he has been training very hard and getting match fit at Melwood all summer, yes a full season might be harsh on him but hes a professional and im sure he will be fine, to me its simple loan him but play him in the league only to concentrate on promotion.}

It would be great if he is fit and up to it, but reports yesterday said:

"The S*n hint the fact Ings has undergone surgery could be an issue too. Liverpool may want him to continue his rehabilitation at Melwood rather than pushing himself too far elsewhere".

Ings no chance not worth the risk I won't naki Wells not injured and can score goals especially with the service he would get Mark my words if we go for him UTW.
