We had posters on here questioning Mendez for bringing in Benfica B players who would not be good enough.
From what I witnessed yesterday go get some of his ressie mates.
Can't remember seeing Wolves players running themselves into the ground like many did yesterday.
As for Jon Dadi where the hell does he get his energy from had to jump into an ice bath after watching him.
Many pluses from yesterday, strenghthening still required and if we play at that tempo will need a big squad.

Carrillo would be a good buy but not worth anything close to 25m now- 6-8 would be closer to the mark. His buy-out close might be higher but that's normal practise in Portugal.

I can guarantee that Talisca won't be coming if they sign Alberto this week as both play in exactly the same position. With Oniangue and Teixeira, this will make up the entire midfield, anyway.

Now please, please bring in a central defender this week, together with an improved bid for Martin. This would make us all happier, rather than this depressing 'but Talisca's having a baby' garbage.

I agree that we should by less expensive players than Talisca but I wouldn't turn him away lol
He's not worth £20m anyway that's just robbery, he's probably worth £5-10m at best.
Just can't believe how this transfer has beat the Pogba saga for being the most boring transfer saga of the season. At least Pogba is actually a recognised football star and is worthy of a bit of a story.
If we are buying him or still in negotiations and we are now pally pally with Benfica why the hell can't we just be told something. I'm starting to feel like I'd rather have Sako back and get Luks Alberto in for around £12m combined and would still have change for a LB and a CB.
Yeah I'm done with Talisca let's move on Jeff we are wasting time, let's give Walter the players now to work with and give us a chance of staying in or near to the top 2 places in the table.

With Dicko returning in a month, I don't see Martin as a necessity like some seem to. Dicko, Mason and Bodvarrson up front is not exactly a weak front line!

I 100% agree with GF about the midfield. Sako and Alberto added to Teixeira and Oniangue would make one of the strongest in the league. As for the back four, a new LB like Buttner would be nice and a new CB to replace Batth, even nicer: I still can't believe we haven't been seriously linked to anyone in this position and am still praying about Rodrigo Ely from Milan coming in after the Olympics. He is the sort of pedigree we need there.

Wavidsmith, Sako is a power and past them winger and not a tricky one (as you are no doubt aware) so he would not be anywhere as near as effective on the much narrower pitch we've decided to go for this season. Zenga seems to go for a compact formation and I doubt whether he'll be going for any winger at all.
