Full details of the takeover to follow. Jeff Shi from Fosun and Jez Moxey are set to attend a press conference on Monday.

Morgan open letter on wolves website states they have agreed to invest 20 to 30 million in the next two years. So much for that 35 million signing lol. Not going to be the spending spree everyone was predicting.

2.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 15:32:09
The manager we were going to get as gone to another club.

3.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 15:32:39
Note does not sound encouraging at all.
But Mixer is going after 3 months.

4.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 15:43:59
Shafted again. £20-£30 million over 2 years! Back to looking for cheap players from Div 1. The dream was nice whilst it lasted. £10mil a year won't buy 2 decent players these days.

5.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 15:44:34
Everyone should be happy now. Morgan and Moxey gone so they can't be the scapegoat any more. The new Billionaire owner who has agreed to spend the same as Morgan did will soon be getting abuse by some fans. Promotion will not happen as the big money everyone thought is not available. Hopefully I'm wrong and investment is made but at this stage it seems that the grass is certainly not greener on the other side.

6.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 15:58:39
The 20-30 million was a guarantee, you can be sure a lot more will be invested, say what you like about Morgan but he did leave us in safe hands and got the guarantee of at least 20-30million to be invested into Wolves.
The takeover is done the ones who wanted Morgan gone have got their wish, the ones wanting grubby Moxey gone are getting their wish, it's a new era at Wolves onwards and upwards.

7.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 16:02:47
Just don't know what fans expect the ink hasn't dried on the contract and you have already started to complain what was they meant to say that they are going to spend a £100 million this season and put the price up on all transfers, let's just hold judgement for a few weeks when we shall know how they are going to play it and how much has been spent.

8.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 16:04:48
Let's just wait for Fosun group to make their announcement. The 20-30m investment may be in the infrastructure of the club to secure it's long term future. We have no idea if this is the funds to buy players.

9.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 16:06:10
You're right Jas. Feel totally deflated. Would appear Morgan chose these over R Li.? Obviously in the best interests of the club!
Looks like Ulf may have been right.

10.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 16:07:00
At least the ownership change is clear.
Feeling a little apprehensive, as no plans for the future declared yet.
I guess we have to wait until Monday.

11.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 16:07:48
seriously I can't believe what I am reading, we haven't even heard the new owners speak yet your all moaning, they aren't going to announce that we are going to spend 100 million straight off the bat, clubs would just double the prices on transfers, let's wait to see who the new manager will be and what type of players we will be buying before judging, miserable lot u are :)

12.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 16:11:11
Back to earth with a mighty crash. So, so disappointed. We are a million miles off the pace. To cap it all we can only assume Jackett is staying.

13.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 16:11:14
Great news, at long last we all know. But two things, the manager we all thought we were gong to get isn't. Second what's happened to the super-agent Jorge Mendes link?

14.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 16:17:15
George, whilst I agree with your point re transfer prices going up etc etc., surely you must feel somewhat let down to what 'might have been' ie R Li and all the (apparent) promises that came with it. The Man City owners - with whom we were hoping to rub shoulders, didn't try to sneak in via the back door. which is what we're appearing to do now. Such statements as £20 mil over 2 years won't get us interest from a manager with any ambition.

15.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 16:18:25
We will have a new manager, the 20-30 mil is minimum, they can't advertise money no object. This is a great day for Wolverhampton Wanderers, watch the season tickets fly out now! 👍.

16.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 16:18:50
20-30 million at championship level is fantastic. People are forgetting that we are in the second tier of English football and will not chuck money at any price tag as we cannot attract the talent which is expressed in the premier league. If Wolves are to remain financially sound and out of debt, the new owners will have to spend their money wisely. Look at it this way, Steve Morgan invested a small amount of money to the squad (no more than 6 million) during the 2013/ 14 and 2014/ 2015 season and as a result we got promoted and were 1 point shy from reaching the play offs the following season. Now we have at least 10-15 million to play with this season which means we have a chance to upgrade the necessary positions in the squad which most need improvement. The people who thought we were going to spend 10ml+ on players are simply deluded. The only way to get out of the championship is to invest in young, hungry and talented players while also not making the club bankrupt (which would likely happen if we did invest big) .

I do agree Jackett needs to be relieved and a new manager imposed in order for us to achieve promotion as it is just as much about tactics as it is money and Jackett I'm afraid has not got the tactical awareness for the game (as he has demonstrated last season with his poor decisions) .

17.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 16:30:27
It doesn't literally mean 20-30 million only will be invested in the next 3 years, it's just a guarantee that they will definitely invest that amount. Nothing has changed, it's just a back up.

I still presume the big transfers and managers will start soon. If not. panic.

18.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 16:31:44
Wasn't it not blatantly obvious that Lopetegui becoming manager was a deal that would of happened if Robin Li bought the club like Guillem Balague stated in his tweets, he never mentioned about Fosun at all, and we only found out about Fosun a few days ago.

19.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 16:34:12
But why are we deluded? We were told (or expected! ) we were being took over by a bloke twice as rich as Abromovic, Spanish Manager, 5 multi million pound signings, so where does going bankrupt sit with that?
I've gone from excitement to pessimism very rapidly. Hope I'm proved wrong, but this isn't why I've hardly slept for 2 weeks and checked my phone every 5 mins!

20.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 16:39:31
ffs get real give the new owners a chance, they have stated they want us in the premiership thay have proven the have the finances (£918 million profit last year alone ) they will have a plan for wolves going forward but will also have to be careful of the financial fair play rules, let's get behind the team and the new regime fwaw.

21.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 16:48:20
You could throw 100 million at it and not guarantee promotion, we need a decent manager who doesn't pick his favourites week in week out but picks the best team for the opponent. we should all be happy to have finally got rid of Morgan and moxey but it's not even been 2 hours since it was confirmed at already people are moaning. Let's see what the new owners have to say and what their plan is before slating them.

22.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 16:49:26
Why are so many people bitching? We asked for investment and now wet going to get a MINiMUM of 20-30 mil over the next 2 years that's a lot more than the last 2. Can't wait for the press conference on Monday.
Gotta laugh though 5 new players at press conference and all kinds of people saying it was Li and it was an UK consortium. Who's going to be first to name their so called insiders and make em look stupid?

23.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 17:00:22
Poz a lot of it was just rumours, there was never any promises of huge investment, 15 million pounds players, everyone just got carried away and started dreaming of being the next man city, I am not deflated at all, i'm the opposite this is a wonderful day for our club. I for one believe Robin Li was never interested in the club and it was only Guillems tweets that ever said this. We should embrace the news and look forwward to the new Wolves :)

24.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 17:34:29
After days of reading al the optimistic posts the idiom "careful what you wish for" springs to mind. OK, so he's only the 17th richest man in China but he will still do a job for the Wolves.

25.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 17:41:26
Sad day for a wolves fan. top manager takes the spain job. no tiki taki footy back to kaki kaki.

26.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 17:45:35
For God's sake everyone moaning on here. If you had been offered this at the end of last season you would have all been jumping up and down. Only Wolves could gain billionaire owners fanfared in to the backdrop of moaning. Lighten up and enjoy it.

27.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 17:54:51
What we have to look at is: Jorge Mendes will be involved in recruitment at some capacity (reported on BBC sport) , he will provide young and up coming stars at a nominal fee to show them off in English football, when they get noticed his agency and Fosum (who own a minority share in his agency) will make a fortune. Fine by me if we have the new Ronaldo or Messi for a year, then make massive returns which can be re-invested without the owners having to spend out of their own pocket. Trust me this could work out to be the best thing that ever happened to our great club.

28.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 17:59:23
This is what our new owner has said. Jeff Shi, a key player behind Wolverhampton Wanderers' new owners Fosun International, has promised to take the club back into the Premier League.
And his representative, Jeff Shi, who led the negotiations on behalf of Guangchang, thanked former owner Steve Morgan and departing chief executive Jez Moxey for their time at the club.
And he was also keen to paint today’s developments as the dawn of a new era.
“We would also like to thank the hugely loyal and passionate Wolves supporters, and all the Club staff, for their patience whilst our discussions were ongoing.
Confirmation of the buy-out by Chinese billionaire .
“We hope they will be pleased with, and supportive of, our exciting plans for Wolves.
“Football is enjoying a huge growth in China and, of course, is England’s national sport. As part of our strategy, it makes perfect sense to buy a great Football Club.
“Our goal is crystal clear: we will do our very best to help take Wolves back to the Premier League as soon as possible and to stay there.
“We believe the Club and the fans belong at the top of English football and getting there is our first and top priority.
“However, we will continue to develop and enhance Wolves Academy and to create more and more young talent for the first team and to keep it as one of the very best in football.
“We also understand the importance of the Club’s role within Wolverhampton and the surrounding communities and that is something we are determined to continue.
“We are fully aware that achieving success for Wolves will not be easy. It will take hard work, resources, determination and togetherness.
“We will work with everyone who supports Wolves to help create a bright future for this great Club.
“We can’t wait to get started on the exciting times ahead and look forward to a long and ultimately successful ownership of Wolves. ”.

21 Jul 2016 18:00:51
It's wise saying you've got 20-30 mil to spend that way other clubs won't suddenly over value our targets like they would if you say you've got 50 mil to spend!

30.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 18:09:45
I think this is brilliant news today, the ownership issue is settled. We all want to be in the Premier League and our new owners share that goal and are fully-resourced to make our dreams come true. We have all been getting carried away about signing this star and that star but when you look at today's reality it is very good. Let's offer our full support to our new owners 😀.

31.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 18:11:26
How does RKO know we are in safe hands?

32.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 18:16:12
What about the talk of us being a feeder club for Portuguese talent, that tends to mean loan deals, meaning we get the players without the transfer fees, so whatever is left out of that 20-30 million can be invested in buying players.

Not saying I believe this, just a thought though.

33.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 19:19:44
Presumably due to the financial rules of the league, there's no way we could have signed £20m players on huge wages anyway?

34.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 17:15:46
People seem to be getting hung up on the 20 - 30 million pounds undertaking in two years. Steve Morgan will, I believe, have insisted upon this as a written contractual obligation, to ensure some stability going forward.

I don't believe for one minute that the above sums will reflect what will actually be spent. Its simply a minimum guaranteed sum.

If these guys have aspirations of getting Wolves to the Premier League quickly, and staying there (as they say they do), they will have weighed up the cost of doing so at length, and with the help of many advisors. Jorge Mendez is very closley linked to Fosun (as we all know) so I'm sure Fosun are going into this with there eyes wide open.

As we all know there are very rich pickings in the Premier league, and I believe that Fosun will spend whatever is necessary to get us there

So let's hope so.

UTW.

21 Jul 2016 17:24:37
Really happy Fosun have taken wolves over, 24.5million a day they make, i'm sure 100% sure fosun will make wolves one of the richest clubs in the world, Another growing company wich has made billions in a very short time in finacial terms.
The investment made with the club 20-30 million is a smoke screen come on :) we should be very very happy.

What I like about this is that in the business world growth rate was looked at, its in 1 word outstanding. The fosun 5 and with mendes on board these are taking it very serious get your money on wolves for promotion.

36.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 17:25:01
What is it, 2 - 3 weeks before the season proper starts, and we've either got no manager, or one nobody trusts to get us out of this league (not upwards anyway), a squad thread bare and a massive £10mil or similar it appears to bring us up to competition standard. After all the hype, and I accept most of it was that, I find its hard to be excited - which is what I was dreaming of. being excited about my team! If any of you went to the likes of Bolton at home last season, or the 2nd half v Leeds. I never want to endure that again.
Like you say, got to wait and see, but I'm not getting the vibe that they are going to spend big to get us out of this division. We need millions just to save us from relegation.

Really hope they restart the redevelopment of the ground.

Would be great to see that finished.

Will be interesting to see which manager we go for.

Exciting few weeks coming up with seeing the type of transfer targets we go for.

Great news

Can't wait for the season to begin and see a packed out Mol.

So much negativity at such an exciting time for Wolves. To those who disagree, you're wrong and time will tell To those with ITK sources, what happened? I never saw as much as a Chinese whisper about the actual new owners from any of you. To our editor of this blog, I don't know how you managed to restrain yourself at some of the posters in this site.

Great time to be a Wolves supporter.

POZ I think you need to wind your neck in. when have Wolves ever spent 20-30 million in 2 seasons? I read this as being extra spend I tip of our earnings so in fact it could be 40-50 million over 2 years. You just need to enjoy this we are now the 3rd richest club in the world and growing.

43.) 21 Jul 2016
21 Jul 2016 20:08:04
Does anybody know who will replace Moxey or if there will be a director of football? Graham Taylor would be a good choice, if so.

Fosun

What they say and what Morgan say are 2 different things. It what they say that matters now. Fingers crossed Monday will reveal great excitement! 👍.

we'll if I was a pumped up round ball, bouncing about full of excitement I've been punctured and gone flat the winds gone I don't bounce just go splat . O h we'll that's it no ambition is the message if I was a player why go to wolves poor wages and no prospects, the lights have gone out back into the darkness,

Pigeon do me a favour get back in your dark box. You sound like the numpties who sat behind me for years always knew best but never kicked a ball in their life let alone manage or run a club. We are envied by almost all clubs in the championship if not some in the premier league so jog on and go down to Warsaw and listen to the traffic on the M6.
