Does anybody think there's any truth in this Glenn Hughes rumour. I saw his tweet but not entirely convinced. I'm 50/ 50.
What's everyone else think?

It is not worth getting your hopes up and the only thing you can believe is when it's official because no one on here knows and that is fact.
Yes l have no doubt that Mr Hughes would love to own wwfc but he can't afford it on his own so then it gets involved bringing a group together. Plus he has to deal with Morgan and l do believe he is moving the goal posts regarding him and price because that is him all over. Just look he turns up at a match the other week like nothing has happened . Do not trust him an inch.

Morgan had the chance to buy Liverpool, a few years back, the club he loves and at the last minute tried to pull a fast one and the deal was cancelled. This guy will do anything to try and get as much as possible before he let's go. Do you think he will pass it on to someone who is passionate for wolves to move forward, even if it means he only gets his money back? No chance!

{Ed001's Note - that's not true, it wasn't because he tried to pull a fast one that the deal fell through, it was simply that he didn't have the funds necessary.}

In 2004, David with great sadness and reluctance had actually agreed the deal with Steve Morgan, then it went into due diligence. David had shaken hands and resigned himself to it, but on the back of the due diligence, Steve tried to reduce the offer and David said ‘no, I’ve shaken hands on a deal, I’m not accepting a lower offer’ and that was the end of that one. From the Liverpool echo.

{Ed001's Note - yes, not a fast one, he didn't have the money and Moores did pull a fast one the Dubai based group that agreed a fee only to be told on going to sign that Gillet and Hicks had offered more money. Moores is full of crap, his only sadness and interest was the money. Man is a piece of ****.}

Well said Ed and Morgan tried to kid a kidder and failed miserably. But Moore got it totally wrong anyway.

lets be positive, we are paying for average football but couldn't afford £77 to watch better football .

We are paying for dull football at the moment, I'm still waiting to see our attacking brand of football.

Re the Glen Hughes/ Robbie Keane rumours, there's no smoke without fire. There are morsels of information on social media, and some direct comments by Glenn Hughes indicating that things are in progress.

From what I can make of these (and other) rumours, the Hughes/ Keane consortium was interested from an early stage. Morgan/ Moxey play hardball and will not sell to the first buyer. Ideally they would want a bidding war. We know Morgan messed up with the Liverpool bid years ago. Leopards don't change their spots. Hughes/ Keane love the club but would want a realistic deal at a sensible price. Now that other higher bidders have fallen away I believe the Hughes/ Keane bid will be the only show in town.

Just don't see why Robbie would want the hassle and does he love the club? Thought he was a Liverpool fan. This really needs a consortium and a Chief Exec that has the vision and skills of Jenkins at Swansea.

If it is Hughes/ Keane I wouldn't think they are putting a lot of money up, maybe a nominal shareholding. They would be fronting a consortium. Keane was a boyhood Liverpool fan but I do know he has a soft spot for Wolves. Alex Ferguson also had a soft spot for us.

Let's face it, if we get into the PL we don't want to be just another WBA or Stoke etc. They are about as sexy as a tax demand. We need pizzazz. Keane would be ideal for football insight and connections. Hughes could bring showbiz glamour. This would lift the long-suffering Wolves fans and the City of Wolverhampton.

I'd rather be a Stoke or West brom for the next 5 seasons unlike what we are now! We certainly need a new owner with deep pockets just to get out this league let alone class ourselves as a Stoke.

Not sure about showbiz glamour Glen wasn't in Purple for long and is not well known plus he hasn't got the money to buy a club like Elton or Delia.

On the contrary WindowWolf, Glenn Hughes is a very well known rock artist. Glenn played in Trapeze before joining Deep Purple, had an extensive and successful solo career and more recently, was a member of the super group Black Country Communion.

The suggestion of Robbie being a Liverpool fan and becoming an owner of Wolves sounds extremely far fetched.
Next you will be suggesting he has a 'heart' transplant.
No I really can't believe a Liverpool fan would do that. unless they get the club for two fivers.

Great idea. Liverpool fan buys Wolves for £10. Too far fetched to be true. Hang on a bit.

I saw a mate of mine in Australia recently. He's a Liverpool fan. He was very proud of a red plastic fan he bought for his flat. He said it's a Liverpool fan.
