Wolves now in talks with Crewe about Max Clayton. Also Wolves looking to form a link with Crewe for future players.

1.) 06 Aug 2014
Seems a god deal. We can loan some of are young players like maca Mcarey etc to get some good time and play a system similar to are self.

Sounds positive for both teams to be honest interesting to see what happens

2.) 07 Aug 2014
Been looking at the fixtures ahead, and the strength of the league and think its time for a reality check. I stated in any earlier post I would be made up with a top half finish. There are some serious big hitters in the Championship all hungry to get back into the prem, there has been some big money spent and I now think a mid table finish would see us over achieve.
And so to my beloved Wolves.
In Kenny I do trust 100 per cent, think he's done an incredible job thus far.
1 to 11 think we have a decent young hungry team, but our squad is paper thin in what is going to be a real tough competive season. I believe we have missed out on many championship quality players during the summer and I sincerely hope that we have some red hot irons in the fire, all the hard work from last season, the progress made can't be undone.
I want Jackett and Wolves to have another perfect season, but love or hate me I am the realist.

3.) 07 Aug 2014
Totally agree with you realist, I just think we shouldn't buy for the sake of and upset squad harmony, its a vicious circle, buy too many players upsets squad, don't buy enough and we struggle. Everything has got to be weighed up and made perfect else we can risk moving backwards again

4.) 07 Aug 2014
We risk movin backwards by not adding quality to the squad, remember it was Div3 we won! Notts forest haven't said well we just missed out on play offs so we will give it another go this season! They've gone and added to their squad! Some on here r in for a shock if they think this squad will achieve anything in this division! Another 8mil parachute payment and we've got 2 freebies! Ambition? None! Paul Tamworth

5.) 07 Aug 2014
07 Aug 2014 10:41:05
Yes we have received another parachute payment but we also lost a hell of lot of money last season. We are not a cash rich club.

6.) 07 Aug 2014
I think once the likes of ohara have gone then we will sign /loan new players. someone has posted on sky sports rumours that burnley are after roger and ohara

7.) 07 Aug 2014
We had 3 seasons in the prem, rakin it in! We didn't spend big on players, we had full houses, a lot of money was made! We then got relegated with a 48 mil parachute payment over 4 seasons, which we have received 40 mil of, leavin one more payment next season! And all we can do is bring in 2 freebies! Were tryin to achieve things on the cheap and it won't work! Paul Tamworth

8.) 07 Aug 2014
07 Aug 2014 12:56:19
Paul Tamworth, I agree we could have done more to stay in the prem but I also think it was naivety rather than conspiracy that meant we didn't. We thought Johnson, Fletcher, Van Damme, O'Hara, Mouyokolo, Guediora and Hunt would be the star signings we needed and Mick lost his job over those decisions (OK, Fletcher was good).

Kenny has basically said he only wants to sign players he really wants rather than to spend the money he knows his available on whoever he can get.

9.) 07 Aug 2014
He really wanted Wilson! He really wanted Maguire! He didn't get them because the money isn't there! Were tryin to achieve on the cheap and it won't work! Paul Tamworth

10.) 07 Aug 2014
To be honest none of us can really know who KJ really wants or wanted to sign. Unlike other managers he doesn't reveal this kind of info to the press or to fans he meets. The money is there, but there's no point in spending it on players that aren't going to add to the team. Maguire had his heart set on the Premier League! Wilson was overpriced, one full season in League One and they wanted £3million for him! The key at Wolves now is the team! It has to be balanced in order to work. The side we have at the moment is capable. Add a Chris Wood and it keeps things nicely balanced and adds a bit more quality. Max Clayton is a promising talent.

Does anyone recall Norwich and Southampton spending bucket loads of cash when they got promoted to the Championship? Pricetag is no guarantee of quality! I have a feeling the squad are going to surprise a fair few people this season.

11.) 07 Aug 2014
What we got to loose against Norwich really the pressure is on them to get a result not us

12.) 07 Aug 2014
07 Aug 2014 15:06:04
Agree with everything but since leaving the premier league . We have received over 30 million in transfer fees and over 30milllion parachute payment ao that's 60 million in already and we have spent just under 10 million since then I know wages etc get taking into account and we were in league 1 but we do have the money! Just frightened to not take a gamble pn someone like wood or maguire

13.) 07 Aug 2014
07 Aug 2014 16:15:30
We now have young and hungry players in the starting 11, something that we ain't had before. No more Rojo's no more Jamie O'Hara's, just playing to pick up a wage, We have kids that want to actually put the shirt on and play for the fans that travel across the country.

If we was bringing Johnson and O'Hara back into the team instead of signing new players then I would be worried, But Jackett seems to be happy with the balance he has in squad. Splashing big money on players? Do really want to go down that route again, We know the players who we have can perform on the day as shown last season, You don't break league records being a bang average team.

We need to get behind the boys and keep the momentum that we gained last season going.

Bully is god. Jackett is the King

14.) 07 Aug 2014
Some good points, one thing for sure we all want the best for the club we were chosen to support, and this a great site for airing your views and a cause for debate.
I think our aims should be modest, and we should respect the league we are in, it's a toughee. If we never kicked a ball in the prem again that wouldn't bother me its now more than ever a billionaires playground and unless we find a foreign investor we will not be able eat at the top table.
Last season was a good as I can remember being a wolves fan, and I hope next season will give me personally as much pleasure, whether it be a win at Fulham, Forest or the blues to give me the same buzz as the wins at Mk, Brentford and Orient.
As I said mid table as some good away days would make me very happy, but another relegation scrap no, we must guard against complacency, this is a big jump from div 3.
As a point for debate give us a points total after ten games, let's see who gets the closest.

15.) 07 Aug 2014
07 Aug 2014 18:49:46
The clubs expectation from the club is top 6. For that reason i'm very worried

16.) 07 Aug 2014
I'm going for 14 points.

17.) 08 Aug 2014
Instead of being negative and dismissive of the players that achieved so much last season how about support the team, get behind them make molineux a fortress no booing towards our team, how about making the molineux a scary place to come for the opposition, yes we could do witha few more players but that's not going to happen yet, we have a very very good nucleus of a very very young squad that with the right support right from morgan through to jackett sellars and the fans can achieve anything, the futures bright if we don't expect too much this season or next season, i'd be happy with a finish between 12th and upwards! let's focus on developing players like price zeli macca evans batth, because although they were very good last season they have a lot to learn still. let's get behind them, let's let them make mistakes and learn from them, in Jackett we trust, in youth we trust, up the wolves!

18.) 08 Aug 2014
08 Aug 2014 08:12:19
My first guess was win 4 lose 4 draw 2, which is 14 points. But I think I want to be more positive than PT so I will go 4 wins 3 draws making 15. Should finish the season above 60 points so maybe a playoff.

19.) 08 Aug 2014
I see tamworth is back to his usual supportive self!

20.) 08 Aug 2014
73 points may get us in play offs! With this squad I wouldn't worry about that! 55 points will keep us up! That is just about achievable with this squad! Just bein Realistic as we have a Div3 lower championship squad! Paul Tamworth

21.) 08 Aug 2014
Damn, I was thinking 15. Will have to be more positive still.

Wins - 5
Draws - 3
Losses - 2

Points = 18

On reflection this may be slightly ambitious but it's certainly acheivable and I'll stick with it. 18 points after 10 games.

22.) 08 Aug 2014
Il be there Sunday 100% supportive! But u can't make a silk purse out of a pigs ear! Paul Tamworth

23.) 08 Aug 2014
After some hard consideration and studying I have decided to go for:

4 Wins = 12
3 Draws = 3
3 Losses ----
15
I seriously would not be upset if this was the outcome in fact I would be bursting with Pride.

24.) 08 Aug 2014
Ive just had a look through fixtures and worked out off the top of my head realistic results and ended up with 64 points, and the last 5 years we would finish between 12th and 9th, which this season i'd be happy with, not sure how many other wolves fans would be happy with that but as I keep saying our squad is still learning and 12th - 9th would be a good season for our youth, if we then sign Wood and another CB i'm saying pushing more towards 6th place

25.) 08 Aug 2014
Tamworth, . instead of calling last season's division winning team a 'Pigs ear', try supporting them and they may just surprise you as to how they adapt. you seem to only have two extremes - happy clapper or doom merchant!

26.) 08 Aug 2014
Bring a couple of quality players in, striker and centre mid and il be more optimistic, this squad is mid table at very best! Paul Tamworth

27.) 09 Aug 2014
09 Aug 2014 08:21:51
Will a couple of players make so much difference?

28.) 09 Aug 2014
I think 2 signings down the spine of the team will make a huge differance, striker and attacking mid, as long as their quality. Paul Tamworth

29.) 10 Aug 2014
I think maybe another midfielder to play along side McDonald then a striker

30.) 10 Aug 2014
10 Aug 2014 18:41:30
Thought today might be a draw so upping my prediction to 17.
