Preston away first match of the season it is then. Whilst its going to be quite an underwhelming season. I'm going to embrace it and count my blessings we didn't end up with Joe Kinnear

What has Newcastle FC's DOF got to do with us Wolves, Terry Connor or Dean Saunders? New manager, new season now let's crack on and get behind all concerned. In other news the league one FFP has a loophole - "The Football League has implemented a system in League One where only 60 per cent of a club's turnover can be spent on players' wages. Wolves have been in discussions with the Football League over the issue and believe that they will be compliant.
It appears that players who signed contracts of three years or over are exempt from the calculations.
This means the likes of the Black Country club's top earners - players such as Jamie O'Hara, Roger Johnson and Kevin Doyle - all of whom put pen-to-paper during the club's spell in the Premier League, will be excluded.

Joe Kinnear got Luton relegated when he was manager there. Forest got relegated after he quit and the damage was already done.
