Has anyone seen club reps handing out beer tokens lately like they did when they first took over and does anyone know why the FA Cup match against Liverpool is going to cost more than a regular Premier League game for season ticket holders?

13 Dec 2018 23:47:15
Don't start moaning at me please it just something someone told me so I just thought I'd pass it on that wolves want willian Jose would want a loan with option to buy like I say don't have ago just something I heard and probably not true.

14 Dec 2018 15:33:04
So, Man Utd want to but Willian, and Jose wants to loan him out (should thebdwal go through)?

14 Dec 2018 17:06:02
The deal *.

14 Dec 2018 18:55:26
Pretty such he means the player Willian Jose, Striker for real sociedad.

14 Dec 2018 19:48:53
Oh right! my bad, I apologise @ Matt_1877. Thanks for clearing that up Mitchwwfc.

13 Dec 2018 19:30:24
It seems Jimenez isn't sure his future lies at Wolves. If that's the case we should start looking elsewhere. We don't need anyone that isn't 100% behind this team.

13 Dec 2018 20:30:25
If you read it again it is clear (within the realms of translations) that he is saying that he is uncertain as it is out of his hands, the club making the final decision as to whether to buy him at the end of his loan period.
What he CAN do, is play his heart out and see where that gets him in terms of goals, assists, and general team play.
To write him off based on a few translated sentences, and grabbing the other end of a stick, just isn't how to support your team and the players that wear our colours.

13 Dec 2018 20:35:24
On a similar vein. I see Raul like I saw Leo last year (before Xmas) .
Yes, not a world beater (but how many of those do we have) but bloody good enough for what we needed at that time.
Raul hasn't scored the number of goals he could have done (and he's probably the first to say the same) but you can't fault the lad's endeavour and intentions.
Raul is an upgrade on Leo, and there is definitely room for an upgrade on Raul, but until it materialises let's get behind him.

13 Dec 2018 20:58:51
Jimenez is not a prolific striker. He wasn't brought in to bang in 25 goals a season. He was brought in to stretch defences allowing the likes of Costa, Jota, Cav and Traore to run inside and score.

13 Dec 2018 21:30:31
Exeter don't lecture me about how to support my team. I was first taken up the Wolves in 1950. I've seen them win the league three times, the FA and league cups. I was there in the 80s in the 4th division. believe me, I know how to support my team.

14 Dec 2018 02:06:49
The headline hasn't helped on this one. Because reading his quotes I think what he REALLY means is that he knows he needs to score more goals to justify that fee agreed. I mean he talked about loving it and he's playing regularly at the highest level so why wouldn't he want to stay?! Think he just doesn't want to get egg on his face by lining up behind the club then them not going for him!
On a side note I think he would just about be worth it! I agree he may not ever be prolific but like Jas says his games much more than that. He's one of this new breed of 'false nine' striker where his games as much about team goals as it is his own. You look back over most of our goals this season and he is usually an integral part, even if its just that sly run off the ball to drag a cb away. Not to mention £30m gets you nothing these days with strikers and by some other deals that's still good business for Raul! let's not forget Benteke was £35m!

14 Dec 2018 13:24:42
2 important developments recently will give us full value from Jimenez now.
1. The emergence for a strike partner in MGW.
2. The great return to goal scoring form by Jota. He scored 18 last season remember.

These 3 players combining up front will step up the scoring rate significantly.

15 Dec 2018 00:17:16
Noddy, believe me pal, I have no intention of lecturing anyone on how to support our team.
You have been there like me.
Raul is a 'worker'.
Let's all support him and the boys in old gold.

15 Dec 2018 10:32:40
Exeter I've posted on here before how much I like Jimenez, I was very disappointed to read he'd been talking to journalists about possibly leaving. TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER.

15 Dec 2018 13:38:50
Noddyboy, where has he said he wants to possibly leave. I think he said that he's only on loan to us and there are many factors that need to be sorted before he joins permanently. If these can't be agreed then he won't join. The main sticking point is that Benfica haven't given us a compulsory option to buy at an agreed price and may well up their valuation.

{Ed002's Note - You cannot have a "compulsary option".}

15 Dec 2018 14:53:01
You know what I mean Ed, like we've got with Afobe and Stoke.

15 Dec 2018 19:50:57
Noddy you need to re-read the article buddy cause at NO point does he 'talk about the possibility of leaving' I mean he couldn't before the end of the loan anyway unless we cancelled it! All he does say is he doesn't know if he will stay and that's VERY different! And can you blame him after the way we took up Beniks option?! He's not stupid and he knows its on the club so to keep his language neutral, but if a player wants to leave they don't talk about loving playing at the club (like he did) . Also Jas I do believe the £30m fee agreed (or whatever it is around that) would be binding if we wanted to take it up, I suspect what it will come down to is if Nuno/ Mendes think its worth that level of spend comparative to other options they have.
Just got back from today's game and for me at this stage it would be worth it. The guy was EVERYWHERE today, defending set pieces, winning the ball in midfield and oh yeah the important one scoring a goal! COYW ;)

11 Dec 2018 11:10:37
This is the translated rumour about Ruben Neves posted on the BBC gossip page. Makes no sense to me.

Jorge thinks about it. In recent months, it has not been sanctioned only after years of cold war, born for the sudden change of course of Falcao from Turin to Manchester. From Cancelo to, above all Ronaldo, there is an authentic alliance destined to bear many fruits. The presence in the light of the sun (or rather the reflectors) of Mendes at the table of Juventus on the occasion of the Gran Galà del Calcio is a small testimony. And in fact, the Mendes-Paratici axis is proving warmer than ever for the next blows of the Juventus market. With the Portuguese agent who has already moved to propose to Juventus a new blow, even for January if necessary, that can extend the deck of the highest quality but very short in midfield. Ruben Neves from Wolverhampton might be able to take the via di Torino.

11 Dec 2018 14:46:17
Sounds like Cantona is at it again, Jas, having moved on from seagulls and trawlers!

11 Dec 2018 20:52:05
Adama will improve. He’s fast but his passing isn’t the best. Needs lots of improvement there! Off the ball movement needs attention as well. However, if he can improve those two with his positional play, he will be excellent. Ever the optimist! Bournemouth start out of the blocks quickly and will press high up. We will need to be on it on Saturday. I hope we win of course and 4-5 - 0 to us would be great please.

14 Dec 2018 17:56:32
Time to sign Tyler Roberts from Leeds and Ivan Toney from Petsrborough - the best forwards outside Premiership who should be there. No more foreigners.

10 Dec 2018 09:14:10
We have cemented our place in the premier and need to strengthen in January to push for Europe. Title challenge will have to wait till next season.

11 Dec 2018 09:26:02
Boro want traore on loan in jan.

11 Dec 2018 13:49:52
Let them bloody have him.

11 Dec 2018 14:47:42
No, he's good for a last 20 minutes. If he doesn't do the business he will generally bring a smile to our faces!

09 Dec 2018 22:46:16
a great reult not a great performance but we scored twice and that is good enough we have a young inexperienced side that with our support and a couple of seasons in the prem could become a real force onwards and upwards COYW!

10 Dec 2018 08:25:53
Sometimes things go right and it helps balance out games when we felt robbed like Newcastle fans must have felt on the other hand good teams often score in stoppage time and it was a good attack and Doc was there for the rebound also good attacking subs after the sending off.

08 Dec 2018 06:54:30
A daily paper has quoted Portuguese paper O Jogo "Wolves will break their transfer record for Raul Jimenez paying £39,000,000 for the forward"

Sorry but there's better out there for that kind of money.

08 Dec 2018 09:18:14
I think we will end up keeping RJ and his realistic cost will end up being closer to 15m rattan than what being quoted by the press! They always take the sensational route as opposed to the realistic one. As I’ve said before, I believe if Nuno is given the support he will get it right. It is a project and they take time. He appears to have realised the sharp end needs attention, but this has to be got right!

Roll on Jan and let’s see what turns up. 😉⚽️👍.

08 Dec 2018 14:56:38
Funny that as a fee of £33million is already agreed.

08 Dec 2018 19:39:17
Say it is £33M - he still would not be worth that amount (in my humble opinion)

Also, should Wolves sign the Japanese winger (I forget his name) who would be getting sold? there are plenty of wingers at the moment playing for Wolves.

08 Dec 2018 20:25:09
But not all firing atm. I'd take Nakajima and release Cavaliero and Traore.
In my humble opinion, Raul is definitely worth keeping.
But one more striker is needed, Sala or Digne.

08 Dec 2018 20:57:40
Some say our squad isn't big enough so I doubt we'd buy one player but sell two others thereby making our small squad even smaller.

09 Dec 2018 12:47:20
Raul is worth £33million imo he works hard, holds up the ball well, creates, knows where the net is too. For that type of premiership player £33million is a bargain.
I think cav might be on his way out if we sign that Japanese winger but we still have the likes of Zyro on our books so I think there's a deal in place there to for the loan club to purchase him.
We need some depth in midfield and defence imo too I think Pritchard would be worth a shout in midfield.

09 Dec 2018 19:10:01
It's not size of the squad I was referring to, it was the forwards. Traore f***** clueless, Costa lazy and Cavaliero no thanks. Gimme Ennis any day over them.
Like I said, Digne or Sala with Nakajima will do.
Agreed, we do need to strengthen the squad but get rid of the dead wood too.

09 Dec 2018 21:41:25
£33 million bargain? Pull the other one, Rated. There's absolutely no chance of paying that sort of money for him. Half that would be tops.

10 Dec 2018 00:37:36
Just couldn't help yourself could you oldwulf even when we win two on the bounce you still have to be negative. Raul is worth £33 million if you think not then tell us who else we can get for that who holds up the ball, scores and creates?
The deal is already done you'll see.

10 Dec 2018 02:05:22
If you account for the assists on top of goals, RJ is worth the 33 million. It is really difficult to get a proven goal scoring forward at that price tag these days. To frame it into context, look at Lukaku and Morata - for what they were paid for, they are producing less goods than RJ.

10 Dec 2018 08:40:56
That's not being negative, it's being realistic Rated. I like Jiminez but even in these inflationary times for footballers he's not worth £33 million. You can certainly tell it's not your money and Fosun are too cute to pay that. My guess is they'll do a deal with one of those fee not being released clauses so that Benfica don't lose face.

10 Dec 2018 14:11:59
If fosum get him cheaper then all the better as it means more money in the kitty to strengthen the team but £33million was agreed at start of season and he is certainly worth it.
I'm still waiting for you to tell us who we can get for £33million that will be better.

10 Dec 2018 20:39:25
Can someone tell me why Cavaleiro has come in for all this criticism? The lads was out for how many weeks of the start of the season, Scored with his first touch of premiership football and has only played a handful of games and is still adapting to football at this level.
I don’t understand why people think it’s instantaneous theses days in football. I think people need to lay off the lads and stop thinking we’re Man City and Real Madrid and support the lads who are actually doing a decent job in their first as a young and inexperienced group of talented players. Yeah Costa and Traore have been frustrating in recent weeks but, so have a few others including Neves who I think has been really poor the past few games but, not a bad word about him is said.
Some people have really short memories. These lads could be a real force in a couple of years their young and learning to play at the highest level and with Nuno’s guidance and few class additions could be playing European football in a few years.

11 Dec 2018 13:55:36
Traore got a foot like a trampoline - Costa so lazy, loses ball down tools - Cavaliero agree re injury but way too inconsistent.
Agreed Neves hasn't been great of late but he is our jewel in the crown.
Players do have poor spells but aforementioned trio "just don't cut it".

05 Dec 2018 23:57:57
Who's telling Ruben Neves he will be on the bench at Newcastle?

06 Dec 2018 08:33:59
Same as I was thinking surely Nuno will want to start with this team and Neves will have to wait his turn.

06 Dec 2018 14:42:33
I'm sure Moutinho can sit for a game now and then, also.

07 Dec 2018 19:23:54
Shoya “Knackers” Nakajima coming in January transfer window for £17million. Batth moving to Middlesbrough on permanent deal.

07 Dec 2018 22:07:12
Why do I get the impression from nunos comments on Gibbs-white today means he’ll be on the bench with moutinho pushing further forward.

09 Dec 2018 08:19:39
Why Shoya Knackers Nakajima? Wobbly?

12 Dec 2018 14:50:22
Knackers is his nickname.

05 Dec 2018 23:23:56
Incredible result tonight not only winning, but coming from 1-0 down against Chelsea and winning too, MGW what a player and Jota finally got his goal too I told you he'd come good.

The whole team did an incredible job tonight from back right down to the front, and Bennet what a tackle to deny William.
The ref was a idiot though very card happy.

07 Dec 2018 14:23:17
Putting the ball in the net from 5 yards in one game isn't exactly coming good, Rated. Consistency is what's required from Diogo and all the rest. Here's hoping!

07 Dec 2018 18:19:46
Give it a rest for crying out loud damned if he does damned if he doesn't with some on here, try getting behind the lads instead of constantly finding faults. Jota had an outstanding game and was given a standing of ovation and he always gives 100%.
Infact the whole team had a outstanding game.

07 Dec 2018 18:37:42
Blimey Rated, who rattled your cage? Me, I suppose but you seemed to be claiming some sort of clairvoyant ability in saying that you told everyone that Jota would finally come good. I was just pointing out the facts as I see them and have never doubted his 100% commitment. One swallow doesn't make a summer but I will always support the lads. I was there against Chorley after all so there's no doubting my commitment!

07 Dec 2018 20:12:50
I'm sick and tired of the negativity and unfortuantly you was on the recieving end of a lashing so to say, don't take it personally i'm just passionate about the team and I do believe Jota will come good.
A few were slating Bennet to they know who they are and look how he has improved, what i'm saying is let's not slate any of the players and back them all the way aslong as they wear our colours they are part of our pack.
I'm far from a clairvoyant, if I was i'd win the lottery lol.

08 Dec 2018 11:02:15
I disagree OldWolf it means Jota is coming good after a slow start. He had the confidence to keep his cool and slot home a good goal. Will do him the world of good and also the reception when he left the field tells big majority of fans are supporting him.

Which are you oldwolf - half full or half empty?

08 Dec 2018 11:04:10
What a tackle by Bennett on Willian first half!
Sums up the guys commitment to the PAck.

08 Dec 2018 11:35:44
I watched that tackle on YouTube more than I watched the goals Bennett comes in from nowhere not even in screen shot to rob William as he lines up his shot with just Patricio to beat top defending against a world class player.

04 Dec 2018 13:42:33
Mbaye Diagne will be signing for Wolves in January. You heard it here first.

05 Dec 2018 13:22:24
I hate to be 'that guy', but we heard it HERE first from Debbie on 21st November. And relentlessly from the gossip rags from mid-November onwards. Thanks, though.

Personally, I think he has a poor YouTube reel, but his form this season is terrifying. Why not, eh?

05 Dec 2018 16:36:44
Seen on the rumour news sites (as i’m sure you all have) we’re in “advanced stages” of signing Shoya Nakajima. What do people think? From what i’ve seen I like him he shows flashes of class reminds me abit of modric but, not so amazing. He does look quality though.

05 Dec 2018 22:25:31
Keep the Faith and nuno and the boys will deliver over the flipping moon we going to lose a game or two but nuno never gives up rui earned us three points Gibbs the same jota Jimenez the lads deserve this come on nufc.

06 Dec 2018 14:43:55
Does he have Premier League experience?
